  • Month/Cycle: 1/1

    CD/DPO: 21/4

    Testing: possibly 12 DPO

R/R:  It's Monday.  I skipped crossfit today and I'll regret that later I'm sure, but it felt so good to get an extra 1.5 hours of sleep!

CS/Q:  Ever since I've been TTC, I have been extra tired.  It could be all my early morning workouts catching up with me, but it's just strange timing.

GTKY: If you could hire someone to help you, would it be with cleaning, cooking, or yard work?  DH loves doing yardwork and we love to cook together.  So it would definitely be with cleaning!

    CD/DPO: 23/8

    Timing/testing: nah.

    R/R: Nothing today

CS/Q: So I have a FF question since I am new to the app. My cross hairs are dotted which I know shows some doubt over the O date, does have to do with the fact that I have a lot of open circles in the beginning due to my temps being at different times? Or is it more likely because my other fertility signs (CM) don't line up with it? Or both maybe?
I am trying to figure out how best to have a better looking chart next month

GTKY: Definitely cleaning! I enjoy cooking, DH does yard work and since we live in a townhouse it's not an overwhelming amount for him. I feel like I never can catch up on cleaning

Edited because one of my sentences made zero sense grammatically. It's early.

    CD/DPO: 20/ 3 DPO

Testing: Debating on 10 or 12 DPO or just after AF is expected

R/R: My inlaws have a lot of superstitions including the dreams of people with blue eyes being premonitions or something like that. Crazy, I know. But I talk to my SIL about TTC a lot and she tells me all about these dreams she has of a baby which gets me excited about my dreams. I had to hand express breast milk in one dream even though I've never been pregnant or have otherwise lactated lol. I worry that talking about it is just getting my hopes up.

Right now 10 DPO is about 3 days before expected AF but at that point I think I might as well wait till AF should come and potentially save me the test but I have no patience.

    CS/Q:

GTKY: If you could hire someone to help you, would it be with cleaning, cooking, or yard work?
This is tricky. We live in a tiny apartment so no yard work and cleaning is easy. I also enjoy cooking. I would hire a personal trainer I guess or a weekly dog groomer instead of grooming her myself.

    CD/DPO:25/10ish (See below)

Testing: 12-14 DPO if no AF (willpower is lacking today- but I have nothing to pee on at home.  We will see how long I can hold out.  I hate that 2 minute wait almost as much as this TWW)

    R/R: Monday....

CS/Q: Question: My OB gave us our estimated FW this month & it lined up with FF’s estimated O date. I would like to start temping, charting, & OPKs next cycle if I’m out this cycle, rather than relying only on the bloodwork the OB is doing.  Can someone please tell me when the ideal time to start temping?  Do you temp during AF or starting the day it stops?

GTKY: If you could hire someone to help you, would it be with cleaning, cooking, or yard work? I’d say cleaning! DH loves cooking & got a new mower last year (so it is still fun for him to go out & drive it in circles).

  • @Westy99, I'm  certainly no expert as this is my first month temping, but I started on the first day of my period. I feel like if you temp through your period you have a better idea what your baseline temps are. Also some women ovulate really early, like soon after AF is over, so I feel like starting earlier is a good idea just in case you O early.

R/R: I feel really out this cycle. No real reason or logic, just don't feel it.

    100% cooking

  • @slavenski, yeah if personal trainer was an option I think I would definitely pick that over cleaning. I am really bad about exercising without someone encouraging me.

    Timing: Good.

    Testing: not necessary.

R/R: Started spotting this morning, so there's that. I have totally lost all excitement for this process. DH is already making plans for next cycle, but I am completely over it.
On the bright side (literally), the sun is shining and it is going to be another hot one here, so I am looking forward to the day ahead.

GTKY: I really enjoy cleaning and we enjoy cooking different dishes together. We don't have a yard, so that's out. I guess I would have to say cooking, cause it would be nice to just have all our delicious meals prepared for us!

  •  @Westy99 If this is going to be your first cycle temping, I would start on CD1 or ASAP, to get into the habit. Personally, I don't temp during AF anymore, but I did at the beginning to get the full picture. GL!

Testing: I just received a new 25-pack of wondfos, might put them to use and test early this cycle.

    R/R: It's Monday....

CS/Q: No more temping during TWW.  I'm kind of liking this.

GTKY: If you could hire someone to help you, would it be with cleaning, cooking, or yard work?
    Hubby loves yardwork.
    We already have a cleaner.
Even if the other two weren't true, I'd still want a cook.  I always end up losing motivation to cook on weeknights, so we end up eating out which results in spending money and getting fat.  So, we essentially eat our money.

GTKY: If you could hire someone to help you, would it be with cleaning, cooking, or yard work?
DH won't let me help with a lot of yard work other than landscaping. It's not that he doesn't trust me; he thinks the neighbors will think he's a douche if his wife is out there pushing the lawn mower instead of him. I've told him this is all very silly, but he won't budge. He already works 6 days a week most weeks, so I'd really like to hire someone to give him a break.

  • @ahrains In the year I've used FF I had a 44-day cycle because stress pushed my ovulation back, and since then FF has predicted I'll have 40 day cycles when I'm typically 33/34. They need to redo the algorithm to take into account one wonky, outlier cycle so as not to have completely useless O predictions.

That's a fabulous question I wish I had the answer to.  This was my first month using OPKs instead of just waiting for my CD21 blood work.  So this cycle, I know I O'd on CD18 and my CD21 blood work confirmed O.  Last cycle, I temped but was annovulatory.  Previously, I didn't temp/chart/anything other than CD21 blood work.

Ah, gotcha. Well--keep in mind that if you O'd on CD18, you'll only be 10DPO on CD28. Your LP is likely longer than 10 days, so you may go past CD28. So don't be let down if you test tomorrow and get BFN! It's still relatively early.

One good thing is that last month we finally figured out a medication combination that will make me O!! Hopefully this month it work the same or better, about to hit the 2 year mark and it's getting so hard to see BFN month after month. To make my emotions spiral out of control my SIL announced this past weekend that she is 5 weeks pregnant and they have only been trying for a few months. I did the adult thing and hugged and jumped for joy with them and then stepped outside and cried my eyes out.

    CS/Q:

GTKY: If you could hire someone to help you, would it be with cleaning, cooking, or yard work?
Well DH does the yard work and I am very particular when it comes to cleaning. I have a culinary degree and have 2 jobs working with food so I would have someone cook on days I really don't feel like coming home and cooking after doing it all day

  • Month/Cycle: 4/3 (1/1 ttcal)

CD/DPO: 23/either 1 or 2 (I was out of town on Sunday morning, sleeping in the same room as DD, my sister and my cousin. I decided I didn't want to risk waking up at 4am and waking them and then possibly needing to explain why I was taking my temperature at 4:00 in the morning. It was the worst possible timing because I didn't get to see if I had ovulated on Saturday. This morning my temp was majorly sky high. So I either ovulated on Saturday or Sunday.)

Testing: not until AF is late. So, probably August 8th.

R/R: I am all set to get AF on the day I am planning on competing in a sprint triathlon. So, that is super fun.

CS/Q: anyone run a triathlon on your period? How does that even work?

GTKY: If you could hire someone to help you, would it be with cleaning, cooking, or yard work?
We don't have a house, so not yard work. I enjoy cooking, just not the cleaning up after cooking. So, definitely cleaning.

  • @mrsstuessy Yuck. I've been lucky in that all my races have fallen when AF is not here. I've never done a triathlon though. Do they have porta potties during transitions? You could always leave supplies with your stuff at each transition. Are they super strict about cut off times? They should have porta potties along the way - at least during the cycling and running parts. Races are stressful enough without having to worry about AF too!

Oh, and some women on here have used the diva cup. I can't remember who, but that would be a good option so you wouldn't have to deal with it at all. But it may not be the best to have your first time with it be during a race, just in case. It may be something to look into either way.

Testing:  My trigger only showed a shadow of a line this morning so now I'm going to try to hold off until this weekend but honestly, I won't wait longer than a couple days #wondfos

R/RI had my blood drawn this morning to check my progesterone levels so I'll get the call with those results this evening... I hope they're okay!

CS/Q:  If my progesterone is low, will they give me something right away?  Or would they wait until next cycle?  Does anyone have experience with this?

GTKY:  Cooking!  I love cooking but when I get home from work after a long day, sometimes I just don't want to.  Plus, I would love a chef at all times to prep healthy meals for lunches, too, and make sure that everything I'm eating is healthy.  I probably wouldn't cheat if someone was providing me deliciously cooked meals every day.

     DID SOMEBODY SAY DIVA CUP?

I recommend the Diva Cup (or other cups, I use the Diva myself, though) wholeheartedly.  Thought they were going to be super gross, but they're fantastic.  And don't give that.... cotton feeling.

You can actually wear them even when you're not on your period, so if you want to give it a shot going on a practice run beforehand and seeing how it feels, it won't cause TSS or anything crazy.
