Postpartum Girdle?

Does anyone have any experience wearing a postpartum girdle or planning on wearing one? They're basically taking over my Pinterest feed and now I'm curious if they actually help any. Thanks!

I didn't wear a girdle, but I got a support belt from the hospital because I had a c-section and it helped tremendously. It was very similar to this one:

I wore one last time- it was the belly bandit brand. I ordered the medium size (I was about a size 2/4 before pregnancy but gained around 65+ pounds) because I thought there was no way I would fit into the small, even though it said to order based on your pre pregnancy size. Well, they were right. I ended up ordering the small about 2 weeks after. They said it tips should barely Velcro when you start using it. I'm honestly not too sure if it helped, but it did make me feel better for some reason. I did lose all the weight by 10 months out, and I wasn't able to workout due to delivery complications/surgery for about 6 months after having my DS.  So this did feel like maybe it helped "hold me in" some, if that makes sense. They are kinda big and tend to fold some in the middle when you sit. I didn't use it daily but at least 4/5 times a week. I will be having a c section this time and will talk to my doctor to see if I can use it again or if they recommend something else. Hope this helps some!

I also used a belly bandit post c-sections, and I thought it helped a lot with recovery. Felt stronger sooner.

Somewhat along the same lines, has anyone used the c-section panties? I'm having a repeat and always have struggled with having non irritating underwear right after.
