Re: PGAL Check In 7/18
2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? First ultrasound and then First doctor visit in 3 weeks.
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: Just trying to be positive about my ultrasound coming up- telling myself the PGAL mantra- thanks @MissPrint1219!
4. GTKY: Do any of you have any fun summer hobbies or activities that you like to do?
I really enjoy gardening- I must admit since I've been pregnant my energy level has gone way down so I haven't been as attentive to my gardening and I usually am- weeding, pruning etc. DH has been really helpful in taking over watering duties when I'm just not feeling up to it.
2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? 6 week appointment
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: I'm also high risk along with being a PAL because of a uterine abnormality. This is my 3rd pregnancy and 1st one where I've known about my condition. Hoping for 1st baby!
4. GTKY: Do any of you have any fun summer hobbies or activities that you like to do? I like to write, read, and garden and work on landscaping.

@MissPrint1219 what is your mantra? I have been away so out of the loop a bit.
1. How far along are you? 7 weeks today!
2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? Meeting a new OB and my next U/S. After my loss I am set on finding someone new. I felt I did not receive great care. I am waiting to hear back from the RE for recommendations.
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: Had my first ultrasound on Friday and I have been sleeping better but am still worried. Taking it day by day!
4. GTKY: Do any of you have any fun summer hobbies or activities that you like to do? I usually enjoy reading a book while drinking some rose in the yard. However, I can't do that now so I take lemonade with me. Summer is the bessssstt!!
2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? First OB appt with U/S in 11 more days
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: Really wanting to feel more nauseated just so I know things will be different than my previous pregnancy. Throw up = success in this weird PGAL gal's mind.
4. GTKY: Do any of you have any fun summer hobbies or activities that you like to do? I really like to taking nature and city walks. This summer, we've walked around the city and explored different metro areas, but we haven't gone spelunking or checked out any state parks so far. Now that I'm pregnant, we will be taking it easier than in years past anyway, although it'd be nice to take a nature hike when it's not super humid or hot.
@irishrose54 So glad your first U/S went well! I know it doesn't stop the worrying totally, but hopefully it relieves a little bit of anxiety?
@dubcompanion I totally get what you mean as far as symptoms go. I think being pregnant is the only time in my life where I pray that I puke or feel sick, just to convince myself everything is ok! Hang in there.
1. How far along are you? 6w4d
2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? Getting to the 8 week mark. I miscarried sometime during week 7 and didn't find out until week 8, so I'm hoping that in about a week and a half I'll be able to take a small breath.
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: Got to hear my little pop tarts heartbeat last week which was incredible! It was a bit slower than what I was hoping (102 BPM) but the tech didn't seem concerned so I'm trying my best to tell myself that everything if fine. They are the professionals, not Google.
4. GTKY: Do any of you have any fun summer hobbies or activities that you like to do? I really enjoy biking! I unfortunately haven't done much of it this summer because work has been crazy but I love getting some fresh air and discovering new places.
@EALasagna45 Thank you!
@Spartanrd4 That is sweet of your DH to help with the gardening. My husband and I have a summer vegetable garden –though he really does the gardening and I do the eating lol.
@irishrose54 I saw your post in the ultrasound thread. So happy that appointment went well for you and you were able to hear the HB!
@dubcompanion I completely understand the symptoms thing. I felt pregnant with my MMC, and this time I really don’t feel pregnant. I know lack of symptoms doesn’t necessarily mean anything, but it would be nice to have something to make it seem real. I have to keep looking at photos of my BFPs to remind myself that I am pregnant right now.
@EALasagna45 Glad you were able to hear your little one’s HB! I hope that helped some with the PGAL anxiety.
1. How far along are you? Roughly 5 weeks and 5 days
2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? First Ultrasound on August 13th. I know it can be a false sense of security, but I will feel better when I can see a healthy baby and hear a strong heartbeat.
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: I am a bundle of nerves. I have fewer symptoms this time than I did with my blighted ovum earlier this year. I know symptoms don’t make you more or less pregnant, but most of the time I sure don’t feel pregnant. I think my biggest fear right now is feeling a small sense of relief if I make it to my ultrasound date without MC (I’d be about 10 weeks), to then only find another MMC. But, I know I have absolutely no control over any of this, so I am trying to take on a positive attitude and keep myself busy between now and August 13th. Just wish I could have gotten my OBGYN’s office to schedule an ultrasound sooner. This wait may be the death of me.
4. GTKY: Do any of you have any fun summer hobbies or activities that you like to do? DH and I like to go out on our local lake (slow cruising on a pontoon boat). I just have to be careful to go in the morning or evening hours and not in the heat of the day. My in-laws just asked us if we would go on a river run with them in a speed boat… trying to think a smooth way to say “no thanks” –as this is something I would normally jump on.

3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: Hubby is being great...I crashed after my PT job and he made dinner...always asks me how I'm feeling and how I slept
4. GTKY: Do any of you have any fun summer hobbies or activities that you like to do? we love going up to my parents cabin in the north Georgia mountains...

2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? Doctor’s Appointment and U/S on Friday. I’m so incredibly nervous this week. I just want to make sure that everything is going ok. We lost the baby in December at 8 weeks after seeing the heartbeat, so while I’m sure this appointment will help a little, I know I’ll still be holding my breath.
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: I don’t fit in my clothes. This is baby #3 and the bloat is serious this time around. I dread getting dressed in the morning and just want to live in maxi dresses and workout clothes.
4. GTKY: Do any of you have any fun summer hobbies or activities that you like to do? We spend a lot of time camping/hiking/at the lake in the summer. We haven’t been able to go as much as we’d like this summer because DH is getting ready for deployment, but we’ve managed a few fun trips. Hoping to squeeze in at least one more before he goes!

2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? First appointment this week.
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: I'm just having a lousy PGAL day today. I'm not sure why, but I'm just feeling extra anxious, emotional, and nervous today. Anyone else have these days pop up out of nowhere? Just trying to take it easy until my appointment on Thursday.
4. GTKY: Do any of you have any fun summer hobbies or activities that you like to do? I really like reading in the summer when I have more down time. I'm also a big fan of just hanging out outside, lawn games, bonfires, and such.

2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? Ultrasound at 7 weeks
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: guys I have no symptoms.. I feel like I'm making things up, like maybe I'm tired because I'm pregnant, or maybe I'm tired because I'm a nurse and that is exhausting and stressful and physically demanding.
4. GTKY: Do any of you have any fun summer hobbies or activities that you like to do? Go on the boat! And at the end of the summer, the water park closes and allows you to bring your dog into the park and go swim with them. It's SO cute and I want to do it again this year!

2. Next milestone you're looking forward to?
Like everyone else, I can't wait for my first ultrasound. It's scheduled for August 15th.
3. Rant/Rave/Postive Vibes:
I started my day feeling unsure if I still felt pregnant. The sickness I had been feeling last week was pretty much gone, much to my dismay. But then I got my beta results back and learned that they were doubling as they should, and it definitely put my mind at ease. Also, I get a weird feeling in my abdomen sometimes when I move in certain ways or when I sneeze. Kind of like a pulling or poking sensation. I felt it in my last pregnancy too. I'm taking it as a good sign.
GTKY: Do you have any fun summer hobbies or activities that you like to do?
I love the beach, so I try to go as much as possible. Honestly, the weather is pretty warm here all year round so there's not much that changes from season to season. Gotta love CA.
Me: 29, DH: 34
1. How far along are you? 5 weeks
2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? Getting results of HG blood levels this week and first US in two weeks. I just don't think I can get my hopes up that this is real till I see the Heart Beat.
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: got rear ended on the freeway today in my brand new company car by a guy with no insurance! Have horrible whiplash and can't take any pain meds, drink wine, or go into a hot tub! Like I needed more stress in my life worry if the baby is okay through all this.
4. GTKY: Do any of you have any fun summer hobbies or activities that you like to do? Wine tasting.... But I guess that's out for a while. I may finally put together my wedding album and I want to plant and herb garden in our balcony
Me: 29, DH: 34
2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? First ultrasound in 3 weeks
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: I don't get an ultrasound for THREE MORE WEEKS. That's an awful long time to be sitting in this anxiety
4. GTKY: Do any of you have any fun summer hobbies or activities that you like to do? I can't believe I have become a bird watcher, but I greatly enjoy sitting on my porch in my rocking chair and watching all the birds come to our new bird feeder! #FirstTimeHomeOwner
Baby Boy: coming March 2017
2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? Next US at 8wk, and "graduating" to my regular OB
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: US last week confirmed the baby was in the right place (not another ectopic!) and the heartbeat was a huge relief.
4. GTKY: Do any of you have any fun summer hobbies or activities that you like to do? Camping! But not sure it's possible this year with two toddlers.
2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? First u/s on Thursday!!! With my son, I didn't have an ultrasound until almost 19 weeks, but since I just recently had the loss, they're doing lots of bloodwork and since my hCG was 3175 yesterday, they will do an u/s. I'm very excited, and will hopefully be less nervous once we see what's going on in there.
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: My family is coming to visit (we live 6 hours from both of our families) this weekend, so I'm hoping to be able to tell them about the baby with an u/s pic. I want to tell them, even though it's still early, so that they can be praying for me and the baby, and because I'm no good at keeping secrets, especially ones I'm excited and nervous about.
4. GTKY: Do any of you have any fun summer hobbies or activities that you like to do? I love swimming! We have a few waterparks in the area, and my goal is to try and swim in one of those or in somebody's pool once a week, because it's a million degrees and ridiculously humid here. Also, I finally bought a jogging stroller, so I'm looking forward to using it soon!
2. second ultrasound at 10+1
3. rant: I was feeling really positive having lots of nausea and boobs pain until Sunday, but it has lessened since then, with only very mild nausea and much less sore boobs since then. I'm totally freaking out with fear of another loss... I called my nurse crying yesterday and she basically just said I'll have to wait it and and everything is likely fine and as long as I have no bleeding or cramping there's nothing they can do. I feel emotionally exhausted and anxious..
4. going to the drive in movies and strawberry picking:)
2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? Big scary US on the 27th
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: Rave, I love my midwife! She is so understanding with my PGAL brain and calls me personally to give lab results.
4. GTKY: Do any of you have any fun summer hobbies or activities that you like to do? Done with children's summer program at my congregation so... I love to NAP!
2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? My first appointment, in 13 days!
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes:
4. GTKY: Do any of you have any fun summer hobbies or activities that you like to do? I don't really like the heat. I didn't used to care for swimming but I like to take DS. We went to the zoo yesterday. We had a good time although DS was scared of all the big animals:)
2. Next RE appointment is Tuesday for labs and first US.
3. Beta 585 (up from 172) today. Progesterone also went up which is great. I told my fav nurse at the RE I didn't want to come in for my next appointment and first US until next Thursday so I scheduled that before leaving the office. Well when my labs came back the nurse who called said the doctor wanted me in sooner for first ultrasound so I'm going Tuesday now. I can almost guarantee it will be so early they may not even see the gestational sac and it will Just cause me extra visits and stress. Hopefully not! I'm really doing my best to keep the PGAL BSC at bay!
4. I just love grilling and hanging out on the deck in the summer.

2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? I had a crazy bleeding scare this week that ended as quickly as it began but my hcg was normal when tested 24 hours later. Progesterone was really low (5.9) after starting out normal, but that could be due to a variety of reasons. I have another beta next week and an us Friday that will tell us more, but for today, I'm pregnant.
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes:
4. GTKY: Do any of you have any fun summer hobbies or activities that you like to do? I love to grow hot peppers and can things! Jellies, salsas, pickles, vegetables, everything!
