"Half Names"

My son's name is Xander. I fell in love with it from the beginning of name searching when I first found out that I was pregnant. I also have a niece Aria. My family jokes that we like "half names" in our family since the long form of Xander is Alexander and Aria would be Arianna I guess. Well I am pregnant with my second and I actually might continue the "half name" tradition. For a boy I really like Vince which is technically half of Vincent but I'm stuck on girl names. One of my top contenders is Brielle which is part of Gabrielle. I'd appreciate any suggestions for boy or girl "half" names

Aria is a full, stand alone name. 

Some, diminutives work better than others. Vince is going to have people assuming it's short for Vincent. Diminutives that might avoid that hassle.
