To be added to the Weekly Checkin, please answer the following:
1. How long have you been TTC?
2. What is your diagnosis?
3. What is your current treatment plan?
QOTW: Father Time magically appears to you and says that he will grant you an extra hour every day for the rest of your life. The only caveat is that you must do the same thing every day with that extra hour. What do you decide to do with it?
Not much going on at the moment. Sunday I POAS and got a BFN. I am going to do one more today or tomorrow morning to be sure. If I get another BFN, then DH will set up his appointment for his SA. Then it's just the waiting game for AF to come, get my labs done, and hopefully start our first cycle of treatment.
If I had one extra hour of time each day and had to do the same thing every time, I would definitely spend it reading. A lot of days, it seems like the only time I get a chance to really read in peace and quiet is right before bed....and then I'm usually falling asleep with my book in my hand within 20 minutes.
@hoffmanr7 hopefully you can get some answers with the SA and the treatments go smoothly!
I'm currently sitting in the parking lot before my first RE appointment. I'm so nervous I could throw up. I'm not sure why but I am. Oh well, hopefully we can get a game plan made.
If I had a spare hour every day I would spend it st the gym. I started crossfit almost a year ago and love it so much but feel guilty taking an hour out of my day to do it when there's so much at home I could be doing.
@hoffmanr7 Sorry about your BFN but I will still make an extra wish for you that that changes by tomorrow and if not I hope all is well with your DH's SA and you guys can move forward with a new plan!
@crunchyBaby2 I hope your nerves settled and you had a good appointment and you were able to make a game plan!
I'm on CD 18 today. have taken gonel-f since CD 3. I have a 19 and a 14mm on my left and an 11 and 14mm on my right. I am waiting for a phone call to tell me to either take one more night of gonel-f or trigger tonight. We shall see what the day has in store. I would assume my IUI will happen before the end of the week.
On a happy note, we are going to the beach tomorrow with all the residents at work so that is exciting!
QOTW: Father Time magically appears to you and says that he will grant you an extra hour every day for the rest of your life. The only caveat is that you must do the same thing every day with that extra hour. What do you decide to do with it?
I'll be mushy about it...I would choose to spend time with my DH and dog. We don't always get time to just sit there and talk and I cherish those moments.
Sigh - yes I am still in testing but I think I may have found a gyno who wants to actually help me and seems to care about my concerns when talking to her on the phone so we shall see how my appointment goes with her.
QOTW: Father Time magically appears to you and says that he will
grant you an extra hour every day for the rest of your life. The only
caveat is that you must do the same thing every day with that extra
hour. What do you decide to do with it? - I would use that time to catch up on laundry.

@CrunchyBaby2 I hope your appointment went well and your nerves settled! I think we can all empathize. I know before my first appointment, I was so nervous I was constantly on the verge of tears. @Plainjanie Thanks. I hope your IUI goes well. Fx for a good outcome! @SaphireSweetie88 I hope this new gyno works out for you
I hope so too. I want to put an end to all this. I don't know if you saw my original posts about what's all going on but lately I had a period in May and it came at the ""normal'" time and was normal (for me) in flow and how long it stayed. I got one in June too and that again was ""normal"". I had been done bleeding for 1 day and then I started bleeding very light (1 pad would have lasted a whole day - but I changed to avoid smells). That lasted a week. Then I had 1 day of no bleeding before it started again and after a couple days it turned into what seems like a full on period except now it's really heavy.... After 3 or 4 hours my pad is almost overflowing.... Sorry if it's TMI

CrunchyBaby2 I hope your RE appt went well. Anticipation of the unknown is usually always worse than the actual thing
I am currently in the TWW at 5dpo. My first ever! I'm trying not to get my hopes up but I'm not succeeding. My chart is very pretty and temps are going up
Edit: I would spend that hour doing some cool workout. I love switching it up and trying new things but it can be a large time commitment. I would maybe get back into barre or yoga.
Thanks everyone. The appointment went well. We're going to try Femara at 5mg for a few months and see where we get. I made an appointment for December just in case this doesn't do the trick. Then they said maybe IVF (not sure why that and not IUI) but we'll cross that bridge if we get to it.
Hello Ladies! @echo+november we are cycle twins! Congrats to you! Fingers crossed that the crazies stay at bay for a little while!
AFM: I've been told for the last seven months that I am anovulatory due to stress. So I started temping this cycle to see if I could learn anything else about my situation and have been down in the dumps thinking my temps were too low (avg less than 97*), I wasnt ovulating, etc. Well lo and behold on cd33 (that's a long ass time) my temps finally started going up and three days later I finally got CHs in FF! I ovulated on my own without meds!!!!!!!!
I don't know if it was quitting my job, Arbonne, increasing exercise or I'd been ovulating the whole time and just didn't know it because the doctors were doing my progesterone draws to early. But either way I'm ecstatic, I've been so down about my body the last year and finally feel like I'm sort of back to normal. So I'm also 5dpo with @echo+november.
I had always tested with either FRER or CBD but someone on these boards pointed me toward the $.88 walmart tests so I stocked up on those and figured what the heck, I'll just take one every day! BSC already, lol
QOTW: I found this one really tough. I think I would coach a basketball game for an hour every day! I quit my coaching job knowing it's better for my sanity, stress levels and fertility, but my god I miss it!
DH - 34, Me - 32 Married 7/13 TTC #1 since 10/13 BFP 2/4/15, MC twin boys at 18w3d 5/15 IUI #1 2/25/16
We had our transfer on Sunday and transferred one embryo that looked absolutely perfect to me and I'm already n love with them. Trying to not get my hopes up too much and trying to stay relaxed about the process. The best news from everything is that we were able to freeze 11 embryos so we will have plenty to pull from if this isn't my sticky baby.
I got bad news at work and there is a possibility my job might be gone by the end of the year. I am trying to manage the stress because I don't want it to impact anything.
If I had an extra hour everyday I would spend it with my DH or sleep. I feel lazy that everyone else said workout haha.

It's been a couple of weeks since my last check-in, but here's my update: We were delayed a week in getting started on our IVF cycle because I had a cyst in my right ovary which my RE said was a result of my BCPs not suppressing my ovaries enough. My estrogen was also much too high to begin my cycle. So my doc prescribed me a stronger BCP and I went back 5 days later for another ultrasound. My cyst is still there but it's small enough to not cause any problems, and my estrogen is low now (96) so I've been cleared to begin my cycle! The nurse told me to take my last BCP on Thursday and begin my stims (follistim and menopur) on Monday night. Woohoo, finally! Egg retrieval will be the week of the 25th.

Well, another BFN this morning. I told DH he should go ahead and make his appointment for his SA so we can get it done this week. For me now its just waiting for AF. I've been having some lower back pain, I was cranky last night, and feeling a wee bloated today...so I think she should be popping her head in any day now. Joy.
Today is O day! I decided to take red raspberry capsuls instead of the tea this cycle and I noticed that my fertility signs are stronger. I have an u/s this afternoon so I will be very curious as to how everything looks.
QOTW I would definitely want to watch trashy tv all by myself without my partner talking in the background about how stupid my stories are.

Not much going on for me right now. I'm in my TWW 4 DPO. I'm praying that this cycle my LP is greater than 10 days.
If I had an extra hour a day I agree with the other ladies who said they would work out. I sometimes feel that, especially during the school year, by the time I workout, shower, and make and eat dinner there is no time left in the day so using that hour to workout and shower would be great.

Hey there, I'm in TWW but already having my typical pre-AF spotting. This was my first month on Clomid (50 mg). I went to the RE today to discuss possible lingering yeast infection which was confirmed and treated, and she told me how the Clomid had good results and if I wanted to move onto IUI I could due to my age. Problem is, H and I have not talked about the other options, so I don't know what we are willing/ready to do. H is so focused on just "trying harder" and not wanting to talk about the other options, so not sure how long that will go on for before I reach my limit. Also, due to my insurance, I will only get some coverage of the IUI/IVF if I go to another RE, so I really hate that idea that I'd have to start somewhere new, but I knew that going into the testing, I guess I just thought that I wouldn't have to get to this point. Maybe we'll talk about it all over our upcoming vacation, which will also be my FW.
If I had an extra hour every day I'd probably want to spend it out in nature...just being out somewhere peaceful and quiet, perhaps with H and my pup as well, taking a walk, sitting by a lake, etc.
7dpo here, planing to test this weekend, or monday. We're spending the week visiting family, which is a nice way to take my mind off of things. It's been a little hard for me to love my nieces and nephew this year, but I feel like I'm in a good place and able to spend some quality time with them right now.
QOTW - it would have to be something relaxing, like yoga or a walk in nature.

I am in the TWW of my testing cycle. I did 100mg Clomid from CD5-9. During CD4 ultrasound he said ovaries looked borderline polycystic. Then I had the HSG last week and it appears that my right tube is blocked. I responded well to Clomid ---almost too well cuz he was concerned about the high number of follicles on CD13 and so was told to abstain until I had a followup u/s on CD15. That u/s showed I was good- Not too many follicles & they predicted O over last weekend. FF confirmed O for last Sunday today. So now we wait. I have my post ovulation bloodwork next Monday. They did say they might reduce me to 50mg Clomid next cycle if this one doesn't work so we will see what happens.

Been a rough week for me. Monday I was scheduled to have my Beta drawn. I had ovulated after trigger..after Femara..we did everything with good timing, and I was having loads of symptoms. Before I left for the hospital to get my levels drawn I went to the restroom...and there was AF. So that was a major buzzkill and I was a hot mess all day. Called the doc and they said to not worry about getting the beta drawn..so I'm out this cycle But today is My Birthday! So that was fun. Worked a 32 hour shift then went out for pizza with family and now hopefully going to get to sleep in!! At dinner tonight my sister in laws were both talking about having another baby like it was a competition to see which one can breed quicker. *eyeroll* I start Femara with 5mg again tonight, my RE decided we probably don't need a trigger shot so we are skipping that this cycle. Which is fine with me!! So back to the waiting game..
QOTW: I would probably spend it with my husband or family in general if that's an option. I also quite like the workout idea, that would literally force me to get in shape I suppose!

@Samanthaarielxo sorry to hear it feels like everyone is feeling negative about TTC. It's such an emotional and frustrating process it's easy to get down. I hope he checks out fine and even better I hope he starts to feel a little more positive.

@SoonToBeMamaHowe Hooray for cycle buddies! When will you test? I have no idea how long my LP is since I never ovulate so I'm trying to hold out until the 19th (12 dpo).

I'm in a wedding on Saturday (9 DPO) so I'll probably test then. I actually tested this morning bc after I temped FF moved my CHs back 11 days and put me at 18 DPO. It was BFN but the progesterone numbers I got back today (14.6 ) are indicative of ovulating on CD33 like FF first said. So I'll try 9dpo and if that doesn't work I'll test with you on the 19th!
**OR we could both test at 9dpo and then again at 12dpo You're cycle buddies with a POAS addict!

i just had my second opinion consult. i really like this new RE- she said a lot of testing has not been done that should have been so i'm going through another round of testing next month- bloodwork, HSG etc and DH is getting another SA done
she also said based on my last blood tests my thyroid level was a little low.. still technically within the normal range but lower than she would like and she may put me on thyroid medication
i was also glad to hear her office bills for labs, at the last dr their lab would not bill insurance so i paid out of pocket for a lot of stuff my insurance would cover so it will be much easier financially

Hi ladies, sorry I've been MIA the last few weeks. Things have been crazy with work, and I went out of town with DH last week, which was actually a blast and was a much needed trip even though I was working.
DH FINALLY had his first consult with the urologist yesterday, and will have a phone follow up today. I really like this doctor, and hope he can help us. His outlook is actually a bit better than our RE's, which is good. There are a couple things he's interested in having DH tested for above the SA he previously had, and also redoing the SA a couple more times over the next 3-6 months. And he's great because he'll do a lot of his consults/follow ups over the phone to save the cost of an office visit and save DH from having to take a half day off work. I'm pretty annoyed at our RE because she has been pushing us to pursue treatment since our last visit, skipping IUI and going right to IVF - which our insurance won't provide any coverage for. But at the same time telling us the success rate for us isn't that great since DH has so few "quality" sperm. So I'm annoyed that she's pushing us to pursue a treatment and spend $10,000 + dollars while telling us our odds aren't great. She hasn't even mentioned donors as an option either. She actually was very dismissive and annoyed when I told her we'd rather pursue talki g to the urologist first to see if there was anything we could do to increase our odds of having successful treatment or even conceiving on our own.
Hi Ladies: I am typically hanging out over on the infertility board but thought I'd pop in and say hey!
I am CD6 currently and day 3 on Gonal-F. My DH is such a champ and stabs me becuase I can't do it. After last night's shot I felt really crampy.. this is my first cycle on injectibles only so it's all new. I'm hoping that follicles will respond and this cycle will be our first IUI. FX!

@Saphiresweetie88 GL with your appointment with your new gyno! I hope they are as promising in person as they were over the phone.
@echo+november FX for your TWW. I hope time doesn't drag by and ends with a BFP!
@SoonToBeMammaHowe Yay for ovulating on your own!! It is such a good feeling knowing that your body is doing what it should for once! FX for your TWW as well!
@Worldtravler0522 I will be thinking about you and hoping this is your sticky one! Sorry about your job, continue with your self care and try not to stress about it too much!
@Wifeinraleigh28 GL during egg retrieval! Even though you had a setback it still sounds like you and DH are trucking along in the process! Happy thoughts!
@horffmanr7 sorry again about your BFN. I hope AF isn't too ugly this month and allows you some rest and relaxation!
@Ducks&cats how much tea were you drinking every day? You got me thinking about switching to capsules! I ended up doing the trigger last night by myself as DH was alreadysnoring. It took me a solid 10 minutes to get it all set up and
mentally prepare myself. When I finally stuck myself it didn't hurt at all.
Like didn't feel it. I did have to re-set it while it was in me as it reached
the end of the plunger setting, but there was still more in the syringe.
@mythril Here is to hoping this dose of clomid works!
@mandybeeSLP online shopping is a great way to pass the time! Not only does it provide entertainment but its a gift that just keeps on giving as you get a package in the mail a few days later!
@jennh75b have a great time on your vacation! I hope you guys are able to relax and sit down and have a conversation about the road ahead!
@reesaanne16 I can relate to your feelings about your nieces and nephews. My brother in law is pumping out kids like he's getting paid. I do have a lot of fun with them but I always leave feeling sad and depressed.
@becauseloveI had my IUI yesterday too! FX for you!
@megzb510 I think sleeping for that extra hour would also be a good option!
@summerbrooke13 Happy Belated Birthday!! I'm sorry the day started out so rough!
@Samanthaarielxo I'm sorry everyone around you is being so negative. It's hard enough looking after your own feelings, you shouldn't have to worry about how everyone else is feeling!
@Harleyquinn0621 I'm so glad you had a great consult with your new RE. It sounds like they are going to be more thorough!
@jojomama25 I'd be interested in knowing what the urologist suggests to your DH. I wasn't blown away by the one we met with and he didn't have a whole lot of options to offer.
@madasm0530 I took gonel-f for the first time this cycle as well! DH stabbed me too. I had to give myself a needle one of the nights and then I also had to give myself the trigger shot. My best friend is diabetic and I have a billion times more respect for her. I have no idea how she gives herself several needles a day! I had my first IUI yesterday. FX your follicles react nicely to the gonel-f!!
@harleyquinn0621 I'm glad your appointment went so well! @jojomama25 I'm sorry things aren't going well with your RE. Hopefully the urologist can provide some helpful information for you. Fx!
I'm going to join in and (due to being on my phone) say fx for all the TWWers, sticky thoughts to that perfect, little embryo @Worldtravler0522, speedy tests results to everyone who is waiting for more info, and hoping meds/plants do the trick for those taking them!
I'm on CD1 so nothing but cramps and grumpiness to report here. We will be vacationing in a cabin on a lake during FW this cycle, so I'm looking forward to that (although we are going with friends...haha).
If I had an extra hour I would spend it with my SO. We just bought a house and have really enjoyed walking the neighborhood (it's super hilly, so a good workout too!).

If I had one extra hour of time each day and had to do the same thing every time, I would definitely spend it reading. A lot of days, it seems like the only time I get a chance to really read in peace and quiet is right before bed....and then I'm usually falling asleep with my book in my hand within 20 minutes.

Married in 2014

I got bad news at work and there is a possibility my job might be gone by the end of the year. I am trying to manage the stress because I don't want it to impact anything.
If I had an extra hour everyday I would spend it with my DH or sleep. I feel lazy that everyone else said workout haha.

I took my first dose of Clomid 200mg today. I also started Keto. I have been trying to get back into it for the last year (ugh, really? Already?) But I'm determined now. This last dose of Clomid needs to work!
QOTW: Hm. There is so much I could do with an hour. Soak in a fancy tub with a cold beverage and play video games or read, I think.
Clomid 50;100;150;200: No O

If I had an extra hour a day I agree with the other ladies who said they would work out. I sometimes feel that, especially during the school year, by the time I workout, shower, and make and eat dinner there is no time left in the day so using that hour to workout and shower would be great.

Unexplained Infertility - Trying naturally
We're spending the week visiting family, which is a nice way to take my mind off of things. It's been a little hard for me to love my nieces and nephew this year, but I feel like I'm in a good place and able to spend some quality time with them right now.
QOTW - it would have to be something relaxing, like yoga or a walk in nature.

Beautiful son born 3/16/17 @ 1:38pm
But today is My Birthday! So that was fun. Worked a 32 hour shift then went out for pizza with family and now hopefully going to get to sleep in!! At dinner tonight my sister in laws were both talking about having another baby like it was a competition to see which one can breed quicker. *eyeroll*
I start Femara with 5mg again tonight, my RE decided we probably don't need a trigger shot so we are skipping that this cycle. Which is fine with me!! So back to the waiting game..
QOTW: I would probably spend it with my husband or family in general if that's an option.
I also quite like the workout idea, that would literally force me to get in shape I suppose!

@SoonToBeMamaHowe Hooray for cycle buddies! When will you test? I have no idea how long my LP is since I never ovulate so I'm trying to hold out until the 19th (12 dpo).

she also said based on my last blood tests my thyroid level was a little low.. still technically within the normal range but lower than she would like and she may put me on thyroid medication
i was also glad to hear her office bills for labs, at the last dr their lab would not bill insurance so i paid out of pocket for a lot of stuff my insurance would cover so it will be much easier financially

FX!
QOTW: Father Time magically appears to you and says that he will grant you an extra hour every day for the rest of your life. The only caveat is that you must do the same thing every day with that extra hour. What do you decide to do with it?
I would read. I always have so many books on my list but no time to actually get to them!

I ended up doing the trigger last night by myself as DH was already snoring. It took me a solid 10 minutes to get it all set up and mentally prepare myself. When I finally stuck myself it didn't hurt at all. Like didn't feel it. I did have to re-set it while it was in me as it reached the end of the plunger setting, but there was still more in the syringe.
@mackenzie07 Congratulations!!
@summerbrooke13 Happy Belated Birthday!! I'm sorry the day started out so rough!
@Samanthaarielxo I'm sorry everyone around you is being so negative. It's hard enough looking after your own feelings, you shouldn't have to worry about how everyone else is feeling!
@echo+november what do you do for work?
