So the
Board Discussion has been quiet, so I'm going to go ahead and provide the voting link for everyone.
The first page is 8 questions, and an answer is required for each of them. Most all of them have an option for "no opinion" if you don't have an opinion on the topic.
The second page is 2 questions; the first is just for those that chose to/are in favour of introductions being changed. The second is just an extra spot for anyone to share anything they may not have wanted to share on the thread, or something they want to be brought up, or something they feel should've been included but wasn't... whatever. Neither of the questions on page 2 are required, so feel free to skip.
Once I see that responses are slowing down, I'll give that update and we can decide when to close it and share the results.
ETA: See post from 7/17 for voting result

Other responses:
1. Introduce Yourself Here
2. Unpin intro thread
3. "Postpartum Preparedness"
4. Post-Partum Preparedness AMA
5. Intros
6. old intro thread

Other responses:
1. Whatever...just no individual BFP threads
2. Allow individual BFP threads for regs
3. Keep current BFP, but recognize that some posters may have been lurking for a while but too scared to jump in more than a few posts here and there (or are busy with work and can't post as often), but would still like to share the news. This would help to cement a bond in the awful chance we see that poster back for TTCAL.
4. I don't think a lot of posters that haven't participated on TTGP will post BFPs so I don't think regular posters only is needed
5. Keep restrictions, but have a general understanding that when people who fall outside of them post anyway, that the board be accepting.
6. can't really restrict anyone can we...it is the internet.
7. Keep language that weekly BFP thread is for regs, but if a rando posts there the (lack of) lovetits should speak for themselves. This is a good compromise/effort to corral drive-bys
8. Perhaps if they've been active and posting for at least one cycle.

Q10: Open for everything:
1. I'm 100% okay with anyone making a new Newbie Guide for the "new and improved" board if anyone so feels like it! I would actually rather like it because then my name and signature wouldn't forever be pinned haha -hunnybunny
2. The sarcasm doesn't always convey in comments--it comes across as rude, catty and bitchy. Everyone here is stressed out, so maybe people can read before they post and keep their bitch to themselves!
3. I think it would be nice to create a way for those that are benched to be part of the board more on a daily basis. Whether that be changing the questions to include people with another status. Or maybe that means making the benched thread Monday Wednesday Friday or something. Just a thought.
4. For the sake of full disclosure- I am currently a lurker. I was briefly on TTGP for my last 2 pregnancies and plan on actively posting/joining in the next 6 months or so. I really enjoyed my time in the past on TTGP:) I hope it's okay that I voted.
5. Nope, but wanted to thank you for doing this!
6. So is there a blood sacrifice, monthly tithe, or some other ridiculous commitment to even post on this board? Jesus Christ
7. If people can't post questions, or if there are only very few questions not met with "search the board" then what's the point of a discussion board at all? Then it's just a search engine. It really bothers me that people aren't allowed to start a new thread with questions.
8. Prefer more individual TTTC question/threads, less GTKY and other non-TTTC subject threads
9. I don't like the language "If you get a BFP, no need to post here, just move on to your BMB." That screams "mean girl" to me. We're basically saying, "We don't want you as part of this community because you screwed up once" I love the r/r q/cs change in WTO Please can we unpin things! It's so annoying on mobile.
10. Let new (and old) people ask questions. Stop referring everyone to WTO/TWW boards *only* as not everyone may want to participate in those threads, but still may want to participate otherwise.
11. As a new member of this board it is definitely discouraging. I read through the rules but still don't feel like I would be welcome to post. I have been on different boards and this is the one I have felt most isolated but I appreciate that you guys are trying to include others too
12. If you do a different weekly TTC subject post, you could just have TTC questions there instead of TWW or WTO. Also, I really like the new GTKY posts. It's helping to take the jitters out of posting for me, which gave me enough courage to chime in on a TWW post. Maybe pin a post to the top for graduates to check in whenever they want. They can @ certain people to say hi, or just give a general update. It should have rules, of course, so it's not necessarily a bragging competition, just mainly a way to keep in touch after the monthly or weekly grad lost is gone. Could someone also pin an abbreviation post to the top of the board? I know there's a link on the newbie thread, but sometimes I forget what something means, or I see a new abbreviation, and I have to comb through the newbie thread again to find the link. Keep up the good work! Thank you!!!
13. You are awesome!
14. Better organization of monthly siggy contests. I noticed that in the past few months, there have been individuals nominated in the thread that were not included on the poll for voting. I'm not saying this was intentional, but we don't want people to feel like the siggy challenge is just a popularity contest either.
15. I like how people have been more welcoming/nicer to the newbies.
16. On the intro thread - I don't mind the idea of the a weekly thread, but I don't think people should be flamed for being like "Hey, I'm username and this is my first post in WTO/TWW! Looking forward to sticking around" that kind of stuff.
17. Unsticky current intro thread, let it fall off. Weekly intro thread seems like the best way to give breathing room for peolples' ttc history and allow for the back and forth that beginning tempers, opk users, etc questions require. It also hopefully keeps them off the front page as individual threads.
18. For the first question about questions being posted, I said no opinion because my opinion would be to direct them to the weekly question thread instead of wto or TWW (if the question thread vote goes through, which is what i voted for later in the survey). Hopefully that makes sense.
19. I liked the idea of a "Weekday Randoms" thread as well, to cover some of the non-TTC chatter.
20. I have never been on a board so regulated and so PC and so all about TW- its vaguely exhausting. Get rid of all this shit and let people police themselves. Its boring to watch every single thread end up in 'Dont post this here, post there'. There is no talk here. Its boring.
21. I don't think individual threads hurt anyone. If all the information is in WTO/TWW it can be difficult to search for.

Q1 = Allow individual questions, but point them toward the search function if the question has recently been discussed (50% vs 30% for questions that don't break TOU vs 13% for WTO/TWW)
Q2 = Keep GTKY in WTO/TWW
Q3 = Start up a weekly TTC Questions thread
Q4 = Don't start up a "rules" thread
Q5 = Start up a weekly TTC subject chatter thread
Q6 = Unpin "Secrets to Surviving", "Pro-Tips", "You Know you're TTC", "Exciting New Product"; interest shown in unpinning Post-Partum Preparedness by two people -- thoughts?
Q7 = Allow everyone to post BFPs in the weekly thread (vs current restrictions for "regular" posters)
Q8 = Have weekly intro thread (42% vs 20% for keeping as is, vs 18% for monthly vs 11% for WTO/TWW vs 8% for individual threads)
Q9 = Unsticky current intro thread

then 3 failed IUIs, and finally a successful IVF FET.

because apparently that's how life works now. Team Blue!
My only question is what would be the difference between the weekly TTC question thread and the chatter thread? Can we just call it the TTC chatter thread and then allow questions on it? But try to keep it strictly TTC related so that it doesn't end up just being a thread where questions get tossed to the wayside.

@AliciaGoose - Yeah, I don't know, to be honest? I would vote a yes on just having one weekly chatter/Q thread. I know the chatter thread was suggested as being about one specific topic (like OPKs, or CM, or CP or something) each week, but it could be the OP started as something like "this week's chatter thread is about OPK use; how often do you use OPKs, when do you start using them" and then include at the end "if anyone has any questions about anything TTC-related (OPKs or otherwise), please bring them up!"
Two birds one stone? I don't know how the wording would work and stuff, though. I'm bad at that. Use a lot of words for a simple explanation, if you can't tell!

And maybe change the name of the weekly Grad thread to say Weekly BFP or something. New members not know "grad" means just got your BFP, and I have to discern between that thread and the agrad a check in thread. Lol

That being said, if the chatter thread is supposed to be topic specific, I think we could separate that from the questions thread. I forgot what the chatter thread was for. I think we might eventually run out of chatter subjects, but I think while they last those are a great way to have conversations about the things many of us do and end up with searchable threads with really good information on them. These would be a good resource down the line for people who search things. But if they're lumped in with general questions they might become less helpful.
I also think the postpartum thread should stay. It's going to be a pain to get things unstickied and new things stickied, but it will be worth it. Especially the new newbie guide.

Or it's someone who doesn't participate, which also comes with the territory, but - either way.
My thoughts from the comments:
*If @hunnybunny17 would rather someone else make the newbie thread, I don't mind making that post with the help from the community. The current one is really awesome and does work, it just needs updating after these polls.
*If anyone wants the Benched thread to be more common, feel free to make it more-so. I don't mind either way, personally. I know we've done mid-week check-ins before, but once I stopped doing them because I was busy, they stopped as well. I know personally I may not participate every week and on every check-in, but I'm also TTA and nothing really changes for me. So, either way, I don't mind.
*I don't agree on not having GTKY or having less GTKY questions. I know for a few days there were quite a few made, but, it was nice actually having a thread to participate in that had more than the same few "faces" and names I've seen every week. As well, seeing someone say that it helped them feel more comfortable posting in the TWW - that says a lot. That being said - I don't personally care if anyone wants to start TTC-related threads, or TTC-related-GTKY threads. Just more threads for us all to participate in, hopefully!
*I disagree on having a pinned graduate thread and randomly asking people to come back. We have the monthly check-in, and I feel if anyone wants to ask someone specific something, I don't see why we can't use that post? The same goes for the opposite (grads checking in on undergrads) - I don't see why a specific pinned thread would be needed for that..
*For the abbreviations, there's a link at the bottom of every page on TB with a Community Glossary. I don't personally see a need to make another pinned thread for the abbreviations when that's on every page you can be on.
*I have no comment about the monthly siggy contests - but obviously it needs to be more organized and better paid attention to if nominations aren't being included in the voting poll.

I didn't add a comment after my votes because I felt that my votes did a great job of conveying what I am hoping for - which is a little less structure/fewer rules. I realize this board deals with a topic of sensitive nature that many other Internet forums do not and while it shouldn't be a free for all (*cough*TheGlow*cough*) I do feel the rules, although good with their intentions, often ended up diminishing someone's feelings. From questions, to TWs, to BFPs, somebody always felt censored. I wish we could protect everyone's feelings but I don't think we can... These results seem like a huge push towards a compromise that allows for a bit more of a natural flow. So thank you again for putting in the work!
