@freudianmamma I've been wondering about exercise also. I've gained about 10 lbs since March (between the fertility drugs, a chemical that they suspected was ectopic, more drugs, and the IVF 2ww) and while I know now is not the time to LOSE weight, I'd like to at least minimize gain during the first trimester. I've been walking about 30-40 mins at a time and doing prenatal yoga a couple times a week, but I'd like to get back on the elliptical, maybe lift some *light* weights again. I think I'll probably go for it once I hear a heartbeat.

My RE says just to avoid getting HR above 140 and avoid anything that twists or constricts the abdominal muscles bc 1. Baby and 2. Still slightly irritated ovaries. I have been super busy the past couple of weeks with my side business, but that should settle down next week and I plan on going back to yoga a few times a week and doing some light lifting (depending on how I'm feeling).

I hear you on the exercising! I was just getting back into exercising- nothing big but walking, yoga, prenatal workouts and was hoping to get back to barre class but unfortunately now I am not allowed to exercise at all even walking due to the hematoma! Boo! I feel so lazy. It will be worth it though of course.

So I just had a minor panic about my second beta tomorrow. I have no reason to think anything will be wrong, but I can't help this massive anxiety. I keep trying to calm myself down, but it's like I can already hear the "I'm sorry..." from the nurse.
I know I'm being nuts, and stressing like this isn't good for me or baby, but I don't know what to do. Post-2nd beta ladies, were you all this stricken also? Any encouraging words would be very much appreciated.

@UnicornsPlease Yes, I was a mess between the BETAs. I even had my DH answer the phone call for #3 and had my phone on airplane mode all day so that I could function at work and not be scared out of my mind of the words "I'm sorry" like you said.
I think that it is so hard for us infertiles to think that things may "go right". For me, I work so hard on "letting go" but it is so hard! I was listening to a podcast today (Beat Infertility just put out an episode for 'Pregnancy After IF') and the therapist on there said to give ourselves tons and tons of self care for the pregnancy. Even more than you would think. I am going to try and so should all of us! Fx for your next BETA.

@UnicornsPlease yes, after your dreaded 2ww, the struggle between betas is real!!! I did the same thing you did. I freaked every time and thought of all the bad things they were going to tell. It never stops, now I'm worried abt the ultrasound.........hang in there

@unicornsplease a was an effing mess before my second beta. Like got myself so worked up and anxious I was sick. Now I have my first ultrasound tomorrow and I'm so scared they are going to be like oh jk you're not pregnant. It's normal to feel anxious after how hard we work to get here, but try to take some deep breaths throughout the day and stay as calm as possible (easier said than done). Good luck!!

My first is Friday after being used to going every two days for blood work during stims and then beta last Wednesday and second beta two days later, this wait seems forever for my third beta and ultrasound. Have any of you had cramps or weird pains or twinges?? Before bed last night I had a lil spotting, very little, but then I woke up in the middle of the night a few times with different pains, not necessarily period like cramps, but I didn't dare go to the bathroom to look, they were more specific like right around my right lower stomach and it stayed there until this am. I'm not too concerned bc when I did use the bathroom this am, there was no sign of spotting or blood, just curious if this is something to start looking forward too

@mr&Mrs.D I have had some cramping a few times but it doesn't feel like period cramps, feels more like a pulling or twinge. I think cramping is normal as the uterus stretches.

Only a few more hours until the call No problem - that whole podcast as been such a big help to me the last few months and when I listened to that yesterday afternoon it made me feel so much more sane. But also a little sad for all of us who are so scared from the past years of trying that it is hard for us to feel excited and happy. Poor us!
@chicandbubbly and Mr&Mrs.D - I have been having cramping on and off myself. A lot of my symptoms are on and off actually. Which is freaking me out! I feel better right now then I have in months, no more pain from my endometriosis, no more stim med discomfort, now i am worrying about that!

@mr&mrs.d I've been having a lot of pulling, cramping, and at times sharp pain. My ovaries are still super enlarged, and my doctor said that these pains are perfectly normal, but to be careful and take it easy as I'm at risk for a torsion. You may be in the same boat! But I also have experienced "growing pains."
We got to see our little sweet pea this morning and my husband who I have only seen cry twice in our 8 years together teared up when we saw the little heartbeat flickering!! It was so awesome. Everything is great! He or she is 2.7 mm.
Glad to hear it was good news @UnicornsPlease and isn't it so amazing to see babe on screen @msirni0??!! I have already had two ultrasounds and have another on Friday because of the bleeding- the only benefit of it... I get more ultrasounds then normal

Starting to feel some nausea and some heartburn today. Yucky.
We have had some pretty good luck with medications being delivered during this process and for the first time stupid FedEx did not deliver the meds on time! I only have 2 estradiol left! Yikes! It better come tomorrow or I will flip on some poor not-responsible human at Walgreens Speciality Pharmacy. Did I mention I am mood swingy right now too?

@freudianmamma if you don't get meds in time maybe call your RE (if you are still seeing) and see if they have enough to hold you over. Most of the RE's have some meds on hand.

thanks ladies for all the help with my cramping question, of course it only happened that night so far, but at least I'll know it's normal if it happens again
So in reading through some of your posts, it looks like most of you started experiencing symptoms closer to 6 weeks, right?? I haven't really had anything consistent, cramps/twinge one night, maybe a little fatigue, but that's it, so of course I'm worried about that. I'm off for a girls weekend at the beach, so I should be happy to feel "good" but instead i worry. Hopefully hanging with some good friends will let me relax a lil. Hope everyone has a great weekend!!!

@mr&mrs.d Not quite the same thing, but my symptoms come and go. Two days ago I had plenty of energy but occasional nausea, yesterday I was exhausted with heartburn, today I feel fine. I think consistent symptoms tend to show up closer to 6 weeks, and even then they can come and go and vary in intensity and it's totally normal. The ONLY consistent thing I have right now is that vinegar smells disgusting ;-)
@freudianmamma Ugh I've been there with Cigna specialty pharmacy. Their system was down toward the end of my stim cycle and I ended up paying $400 out of pocket for my last 2 days of menopur. I'm still battling them for that $400 back. GL getting what you need!

I have only had small waves of nausea until yesterday when it really hit me and for the first time I felt like I was going to actually puke. I'm five weeks two days today.
@freudianmamma I am still on crinone which I knew I had to take until I was ten weeks - but I used my last estrace tablet days ago and did not get refilled. How long are you on it?? Nurse didn't tell me to refill so I assumed once I was done that bottle that was it. I think there were a few refills on my prescription but all my meds had refills in case I had to do another round. Hmm now I'm worried I should ask the nurse today.
had my first ultrasound today! It was only a little black dot but to us it's the cutest black dot ever hahaha. DH got to be there too - we're both really excited. RE said the yolk sac etc looks perfect and confirmed EDD as March 15th!
@Mr&mrs.d Same for me, nausea and vomiting started at exactly 6 weeks! I can't call it morning sickness since it is morning one day but afternoon, night or all day other days lol! I've had two days since with no nausea, the 4th and yesterday. Don't worry if you don't have symptoms. They come and go and everyone is different.

@kfras so excited to hear that your ultrasound went well today! From what my nurse said, I am going to stay on the 3 times a day Endometrin and the 2 times a day Estradiol for the first 10 weeks. I think everyone is different. I have a friend who was doing the progesterone in oil shots and at her 7 week ultrasound her RE said she was good to "graduate" to suppositories and she could stop with the injections.

@freudianmamma Last night I threw a pot of water down in the sink and told my husband to "Make his own damn dinner!" because he argued with me about whether or not it counted as "helping" me if he had to ask what to do every 2 minutes. I feel it proved my point because after I stormed off, he figured out how to boil corn JUST FINE without me. Thinking about it is making me cranky again.

I ws a maniac last night. My AC in my car is spotty and of course it stopped working yesterday when the heat index was over 100 here. On top of that I had to make a birthday board for a customer (I make these chalkboard milestone board things on the side) and she needs it today so I couldn't put it off. I just wanted to lay down. I messed up the board and threw a paint marker at my husband. He just laughed at me bc I was being so ridiculous.

I know we first have to graduate from our RE but I didn't know if I should be looking for one earlier than that or if its fine to wait until the graduation point? AFM, beta #3 was this morning and we are right on track at 1684. I've officially graduated from betas and have my first ultrasound scheduled for July 26th...can't WAIT to hear that little heartbeat.

IVF#2- started stims 6/12 ER 6/22 16 ER 11 mature 8 fertilized ET 6/27 2 day 5 embryos AB and BB put in. 1 frozen BC. Beta #1-175 Beta #2- 422. Beta #3- 1,024. US-7/29
About 4 days after my transfer I had a bunch of brown spotting only once when I went to the bathroom and then I got my BFP on a hpt 4 days later.
@freudianmamma I checked out the podcast you mentioned--what a great find. I had never heard the concept of infertility PTSD but it's so real, and reassuring to know how common it is. Thanks so much for sharing that with me.
I just left the doc office. I've given my blood, now it's just a matter of waiting to hear later this morning. Trying to breathe and tell myself whatever will be, will be. I'll update when I know.

@chicandbubbly and Mr&Mrs.D - I have been having cramping on and off myself. A lot of my symptoms are on and off actually. Which is freaking me out! I feel better right now then I have in months, no more pain from my endometriosis, no more stim med discomfort, now i am worrying about that!

We got to see our little sweet pea this morning and my husband who I have only seen cry twice in our 8 years together teared up when we saw the little heartbeat flickering!! It was so awesome. Everything is great! He or she is 2.7 mm.

We have had some pretty good luck with medications being delivered during this process and for the first time stupid FedEx did not deliver the meds on time! I only have 2 estradiol left! Yikes! It better come tomorrow or I will flip on some poor not-responsible human at Walgreens Speciality Pharmacy. Did I mention I am mood swingy right now too?

thanks ladies for all the help with my cramping question, of course it only happened that night so far, but at least I'll know it's normal if it happens again
So in reading through some of your posts, it looks like most of you started experiencing symptoms closer to 6 weeks, right??
I haven't really had anything consistent, cramps/twinge one night, maybe a little fatigue, but that's it, so of course I'm worried about that. I'm off for a girls weekend at the beach, so I should be happy to feel "good" but instead i worry. Hopefully hanging with some good friends will let me relax a lil.

@freudianmamma Ugh I've been there with Cigna specialty pharmacy. Their system was down toward the end of my stim cycle and I ended up paying $400 out of pocket for my last 2 days of menopur. I'm still battling them for that $400 back. GL getting what you need!

@freudianmamma I am still on crinone which I knew I had to take until I was ten weeks - but I used my last estrace tablet days ago and did not get refilled. How long are you on it?? Nurse didn't tell me to refill so I assumed once I was done that bottle that was it. I think there were a few refills on my prescription but all my meds had refills in case I had to do another round. Hmm now I'm worried I should ask the nurse today.
had my first ultrasound today! It was only a little black dot but to us it's the cutest black dot ever hahaha. DH got to be there too - we're both really excited. RE said the yolk sac etc looks perfect and confirmed EDD as March 15th!

Mr&Mrs.D have a great girl's weekend at the beach. The beach is such a good distraction. I hear you about the consistency. sometimes I worry that I feel "too good" myself.
Anyone else in an angry mood sometimes? Poor DH. He's annoying me.

AFM, beta #3 was this morning and we are right on track at 1684. I've officially graduated from betas and have my first ultrasound scheduled for July 26th...can't WAIT to hear that little heartbeat.
