just had a scan this AM and shes transverse across my belly at my bellybutton with her arms and legs all cuddled together in the middle. essentially punching me in the belly button.
I feel like this might be how my little nugget is positioned. I feel movement everywhere, but more so at my belly button lately.
I'm in the same boat. I feel like he stays to one side more than the other most of the time though because my stomach gets uneven.

Baby seems to have moved up some so the bladder isn't bad BUT now I can't catch my breath...
That random sharp bully bottom pain has started. This morning she was so balled up to one side I could raise my leg up high enough to.put pants on, hubby thought that was hilarious.
I'm bloated. She is also still hanging out super low still which is painful. DS had definitely moved up and started trying to flip around by now, this one is content in my pelvis sideways.
@krzyriver Not since 2011 with DD, but I remember how awful it was and can empathize ::hugs:: Mine didn't really have a "cause", so I never found anything to fully shake it off. I know that's not very helpful, but I just wanted to let you know that it is okay and normal to not be a ray of glowing sunshine while pregnant, and is definitely actually quite common ro feel depressed, especially after a history of depression and that you aren't alone. Just talk to you doctor about it, I would also recommend getting info about PPD while you're there, let SO in the loop, keep yourself busy, remember that you are loved and this rain cloud won't last forever! I hope you start feeling better soon! ♡
Okay... is there anything any of you have found that helps with back pain? Sleeping with a pillow between my knees is a must now (or I'll wake up in pain) but short of hiring a massage therapist to follow me around and massage my back whenever I want, I can't think of anything game changing to help with my achy back during the day. All ideas are welcome
@AllyTheKid ... PP back pain?! I feel like you always tell me about PP things I didn't know to expect lol (I consider that a good thing though... knowledge is power I guess)

I've actually thought about going to the mall and getting one of those "massagers" that everyone knows are just used as vibrators. It has a long handle so I could do my own back! I can imagine the faces of the poor kids who work at Brookstone while a huge pregnant lady buys a ginormous vibrator. #noshame #multipleuses

@bnsmith85 Oh, don't fret! After LO is born your spine straightens back out and your muscles move back into place and tighten back up in your back (baby pulls them out of place as it grows) and it can pretty uncomfortable, and honestly down right painful. But on the positive side, it only lasts a few weeks, and I'll take that over the MONTHS of discomfort pregnancy has to offer any day!
Edit to add: It is different for each person though, mine was really bad and I've only had two other friends say their's was awful, others say it wasn't all that bad for them.
@AllyTheKid Yeah, I've been feeling really guilty for not being happy all the time and my husband doesn't really understand because we've wanted this for so long. And worrying about PPD doesn't help, I don't know why I didn't think to talk to my doctor about that too. Lol. Thank you so much. It's hard to keep busy when you're kind of on bedrest, but I will try.

This is actually so funny. I was in Brookstone for the first time the other day and saw those little vibrator sticks and all I could think was "This doesn't seem appropriate to having laying out for children to see" lol. I could not decide what their intended purpose was.. but girl I say go get one because they look like they'd be super helpful. For your back.

that's not a bad idea at all. I could totally put in an Amazon order for one of those lol
@krzyriver I've struggled with mild depression in the past on & off and had it a bit at the end of the first trimester. I also use exercise as a form of therapy and I'm sorry that you don't really have that option right now - I know it makes it hard! Reading sometimes helps me - if I can immerse myself in fiction and take my mind off of my anxiety & worries temporarily, I feel it fades a bit after awhile. Also, just talking helps. To a therapist, a friend, co-worker...anyone you have to support you really. It helps for me to just voice some things sometimes & get them out. There are still days I wake up sad and I have no idea why and can't just "snap out of it". I feel like I'm being robbed of what should be a happy time, so I understand how cruel and real depression can be. Hugs to you! Be sure & mention it to your doctor, I found mine to be very supportive. Here's hoping things start looking up soon!
For some reason I've been getting headaches the last few days - they just lingerrrrrrr.
And, stupid swollen ankles! I've already switched from my flats to flip flops at my desk and trying to elevate them a bit...I hate looking down and seeing my fat, puffy feet - and pure cankle.
@kaessi I definitely have time for reading these days and I love reading. I will try that. Maybe I'll look into some counseling too. I love to talk things out but people around me don't fully understand. Which is good, I'm glad they don't feel this way, but it can be very lonely. It's nice to know I'm not the only one. Thank you.
I have a back massager that is a chair pad and it has these rotating things that go up and down the back. It's so much better than anything that just vibrates. I should probably figure out where it went. I've actually been doing better than I expected... so far.
I find that child's pose helps a lot. I kneel (usually knees apart, heels together) and lean forward to hug a pillow. Sometimes just flat, sometimes I lift up my butt and put my weight forward on the pillow. It takes the weight off the back - during my last slipped disk episode, it was the only way I could sleep or do anything (I honestly spent all day and night when I wasn't at work on the floor leaning over a pillow).
Anyone else dealing with crippling depression? Ive suffered from depression most of my life, but learned to cope without meds as an adult. Unfortunately the best medicine for me was exercise, which is impossible on semi-bedrest. I need to talk to my doctor at my next appointment, but that's not till the 27th
It comes in waves for me. Like you, I've suffered from depression since about 12 (some times darker than others but never wanted to be on meds) and unfortunately I turn to food which is adding to the depression instead of helping it. This pregnancy isn't letting me eat like I used to, but the depression comes I waves which usually leads me to a mini breakdown, then a build up to being good again, then repeat.
I think my guy is having a growth spurt because between the non-stop kicks and punches (which are still low in my pelvic region), my uterus is tender almost like mini cramps...granted that could be due to gas as well.
Oh my god, my nipples itch SOOO bad! This has never happened to me before and it is miserable!
Maybe they're growing... I feel like mine have gotten all National Geographic over here. I even googled to make sure they'll go back to their normal size PP lol
@bnsmith85 That's the only thing I can think of... plus, mine have never been this big ever (my boobs in general, not just nips) not even when BFing, so I'm wondering what is going to happen to the girls once my milk actually comes in!
@AllyTheKid... Right?! When I'm BFing, I feel like they're going to be out of control... Both boobs and nips. Good news is, Google and my friend both said they're going to go pretty much back to normal eventually.... Thank goodness.
Eta... My boobs can totally stay bigger but the nips need to get their lives together ASAP after the baby is born lol
I've been getting lightning nips all day. And today was the first day I woke up with a tingling/itchy hand so here begins the carpal tunnel. I knew it was coming....I just hoped it would wait into the 30-something weeks.
@NoraAurora I've developed carpal tunnel too. It's not really that bad, it's just really annoying. Ugh hopefully it subsides after the baby gets here like it's supposed to..... I had my friend who is an NP diagnose me at a party

I had it last time - it does go away. It can get rather painful though later in pregnancy and I remember last time it didn't go away immediately like I thought it would. It took 2-4 weeks PP if I remember correctly.
@bnsmith85 I have had good luck with my nipples returning to normal so I can tell you there is definitely hope for your nipples. My whine is how much my boobs have shrank in general since I started having babies... If that happens to me again this time I'll have nothing left =( But for now, I am enjoying these C-cups, even with the itchy nipples!
@NoraAurora Lighting nips always strikes while I'm driving and the AC seems like it's blowing straight on my boobs no matter where I adjust the vents. So I spend my commutes rubbing myself. FI has even called me out on it. I have had minor carpal tunnel this go around, but nothing like last time (so far anyway). I am surprised and thrilled about that.
I know I'm late on this but @CopperBoom86 is so right about that water intake. When I had my daughter one of my biggest regrets was not drinking more water to help with my swollen feet and they grew huge and were very painful. It feels like your skin is being stretched. This time around in drinking a lot of water in the hopes that I'll avoid it. It also helps with constipation.
I'm sure I've missed it on this and other threads but I have sciatica this time around and am in constant pain. I've been going to a chiropractor but it hurts to walk at all some days. The pain down my left butt cheek and leg are excruciating. Has anyone dealt with this?
@NoraAurora I hadn't heard of SI joint dysfunction. I'll give it a look up, thank you! I'll bring it up to my OB, too.
@MRSCORKER My chiropractor used one of those big vibrator things to work on where the pain is in my butt and upper thigh and I'm thisclose to going to buy one at BrookStone
My mom got me a massager like this one for Christmas last year. It has 3 speed settings, and heat if you want it. It's glorious and I love it.
I second this! I got a different version (but same concept) on Amazon 2 weeks ago when my back pain started. I paid $39.99 on Prime and now I use it multiple times a day! It's been such a godsend!
