picture #1 is our first date in 2002. We were headed to the Homecoming dance at our high school. He was a senior and I was a sophomore. Young love Picture #2 is in honor of our 5 year wedding anniversary this Saturday. We've changed a lot between these two pictures
How appropriate that this thread was started today! Timehop showed me my Halloween costume from 5 years ago...I was dinner! I LOVE Halloween and typically end up making all of my costumes, this one was my funniest this far. I really hope I'm up to doing something this year.
I love your flamingo @mrszoess - we have 2 that live in our front yard!
This picture is from when we got engaged. I was taken completely by surprise - I really had no idea at all. We were at the river walk in San Antonio & DH planned it all out perfectly. Had friends there to photograph us & everything. One of the happiest days of my life! And these are from our wedding - the other happiest day of my life! I always smile thinking about that day. The first is the first moment we saw each other on our wedding day and the second is well into the reception after the drinks have been flowin'...I feel it captures our personalities well!
OH this is fun! This is my first trip Tanzania in 2012, in a mountain village on the west side of Lake Victoria. ----
and this is me with hopefully-soon-to-be-adopted son when he first came to the orphanage at 3 days old, Nov 2013. This is his first bottle! (I've since grown out my hair from these pictures.....but looking at them makes me want to cut it again haha)
Sorry I'm a day late. So I'll make it #FBF. Me and DH on our first date 11-11-07. I can't believe we've been together for almost 9 yrs and we married on 11-11-11 and will be celebrating 5 yrs! Crazy how time flies!!
Married 11-11-11 TTC only since Dec 2015. I had some weight to get off. Been working hard in the gym for over a year. BFP 02-15-16 with our first IT'S A BOY!!!
Since we're approaching our "16 year BFF-aversary" my first #TBT is in honor of my best friend Chad. We met 16 summers ago while I was working at a movie theatre after my freshman year of college and he was a manager. We clicked instantly and have been each others rock since - through my many moves for work around the country, through his severe health issues, which have included open heart surgery, a kidney transplant and major leg surgery, through family issues and major milestones. Until I met my husband, I really felt like he was my soulmate - and I still kind of feel that way, just that my husband is also one, too! In fact, I knew my husband was definitely the one after they met and clicked amazingly - my husband even made sure Chad was there when he proposed! Chad's had a lot of health issues, and I thank my lucky stars every day he's still here with me, and about to become an honorary uncle and BFF to our child.
So, the first picture is from that summer we met at work - Chad's poking at fun at one of the trashy romance novels I would read when it was slow... and the second picture is from my wedding day a year ago, where Chad was my Man-of-Honor, by my side through yet another of life's milestones.
@annabenanna thanks for this thread! It's such a great idea and I LOVED seeing everyone!! This was at a poetry retreat that I went to during the summer in hopes of getting ideas for my HS kids. Someone took this pic and captioned it saying something about how captivated the audience was by the poetry. In reality, this was my, "What the fuck is this person saying? I'm hungry" face.
