i know our LO's are still little (Damien is about to be 8 months on the 24th) but I stared young with our older ones too. We use the word no sternly when he is doing something or grabbing something he shouldn't. We aren't big baby proofers, more of a teach boundaries and they'll learn to only grab what they are allowed to. Anyways today I was on the floor of my bedroom with Damien and the battery charger for the drill is beside my dresser(not plugged in) and he went for it. Every time I'd tell him no and turn him he's cry and flail (think full on toddler tantrum style on his belly) and then look at SO like he was going to help him. He kept going for it and eventually gave up and went back for a toy but I swear he is the most stubborn of all my children!
Anyone have any funny stories of teaching different things to our Lo's?
Re: Teaching boundaries
My DH is a little louder so he'll stop and stare. But half the time he goes back to getting into whatever.
He loves to play with our DVR and sound bar. The worst is when he unplugs the power strip all that is attached to. >.<
I've been saying no and grabbing his hand. I hope one day he'll get it. I hope...
