you have been forgiven @AllyTheKid ;)
  • @AllyTheKid I missed this! You have a 10 month old?! I'm trying to do math to determine how far apart they will be. That's awesome!

  • This might be more of an unpopular opinion than a confession, but here goes:  I can't wait for the warm weather.  I'm always cold, even while pregnant, so I'm looking forward to the 80+ degree days.  I may change my mind when I'm seven months pregnant during the hottest part of the year, but right now, I say bring on the summer!
This!!!!!  I was COLD first tri until I got a little further along and I started my thyroid medication.  I normally run cold but it was definitely worse than normal.  Even now I don't get the pregnant lady running hot thing -- I still have to battle DH to turn the AC down and I have my warming foot rest turned on in my office.  Maybe further along that will change but for now bring on the heat!

  • Confession:  I throw away cards..... even the ones with thoughtful notes on them handwritten inside.  I throw them all away.  I keep them in my heart forever, but I cannot stand junk of that kind.  I also throw away: personalized mugs, mementos/giveaways from weddings.... I don't like the clutter.  I told SO, "i'm sorry but if you think i'll gift you a "something something best dad in the world" frame/shirt/mug.... you're mistaken."
I used to, but I stopped once my grandparents died. Of the few handwritten notes I have left I wish I had kept more.

I was 38 weeks pregnant with DS when I had him in August 2013 and it honestly wasn't that bad in the Seattle heat. Just lots of skirts and flowy dresses and I was good

  • @ibabyloveb87 Yeah, it probably helps that I live in Seattle where the temperature rarely gets above 90.

stop your bragging (obviously being sarcastic here)... all of us over here in the south east are jealous  :D

I have an 11-month old! Super mamas unite!
  • FACT @simcal18! I have colleagues in northern territories like Boston... last year's snow was HORRIBLE for them! I was cozy here with our mild southern winter :)
  • @simcal18 and @CopperBoom86 Come to Seattle!  It only snows once a winter and rarely gets above 80 in the summer!  Of course, it's rainy and gloomy most of the winter...
  • Can I have another FFFC since I always forget mine by the time Friday rolls around? If your answer is no, stop reading.

DH and I are supposed to get together with his parents and brother tonight since his brother is in from out of town and I REALLY don't want to go. I just don't care for hanging out with them. They're nice enough people, I just wouldn't choose to be around them if they weren't family. My idea of fun is not sitting around your house that you keep at a gazillion degrees, watching you drink beer and laugh at your own bad jokes. Nope.

I think I liked it better when they lived 11hrs away. We saw them twice a year and it was wonderful. I'm a terrible person for feeling this way... I just can't help it.
  • @bnsmith85 does DH know how you feel?  Maybe say you're really tired..... and hint at leaving early!

Speaking of the rain there... I feel like I heard something about there being this one date that's been sunny and wedding perfect for many years straight and that its like a super popular date to book weddings. Have you heard of that? Or am I imagining this fun fact?
  • @annabenanna ... No, bc I'm truly the jerk here. They really are nice people. I told him I didn't want to stay late bc we need to prep for the lake tomorrow.
  • I would love to live in Seattle (or somewhere else "gloomy") but my family is in Texas and they are important enough to stay here for =/

My confession: I don't clean my house. I don't clean up unless there's a specific mess. We're going to have to make major lifestyle changes in our clutter before we have a little kid crawling around putting everything in its mouth.

  • I'm from out east and once I moved to the seattle area I decided never to leave. I don't miss the sticky heat nor do I miss the snow. Most houses don't have air conditioning here. No spring pollon asthma inducing allergies. Last time i went out east it was may, and i needed to go to the hospital for my asthma. Bonus: the bugs, especially mosquitoes and wasps, are smaller and fewer. The ants also don't bite and the spiders aren't poisonous. My family out east can visit me, I'm keeping my preggo ass parked right here.

You're not a terrible person, pregnancy was the straw that broke the camels back with my patience for inlaws. Both parents (divorced) live within 20 miles, imagine two sets of local families pushing their way into my business, and on alternating days of the week because of course the divorced couple can't be in the same room together.

Us too! We clean if we have people coming over or it gets to be borderline gross.  We have a dog and 3 cats and we just don't care if there is fur on the floor or kicked out litter or whatever mess gets spewed (usually means dishes).  I'm hoping this nesting thing kicks in and I start cleaning but ya it will be a surprise.

I haven't heard of that, but we've only been here for five years, so maybe it's a thing only locals know about.  It doesn't actually rain all that much in the summer.  It's mostly a winter thing.
  • I just came home from work and totally bitched my husband out. Like really bad. I apologized so he'd stop being so mopey, but I don't actually feel bad about it.  :#

  • @ignoscemihi We visited Seattle for a few days on our honeymoon and absolutely LOVED it. We drove down the coast and spent days in Portland, Napa, and San Francisco, but Seattle was by far our favorite. We'd love to go back! Oh and we went in August and the weather was absolutely perfect.

I had a white blazer that i absolutely loved and I spilled sangria on it like a year ago and forgot about it. I finally remembered and was determined to get the stain out, I finally did and of course, the blazer no longer fits me.

also, I just finished all of OITB. I had the day off and I all I did was binge watch this season.
