Yes, from Magnum P.I.  My H is holding out.  I am a definite no because the name is too similar to an ex (he said not to let that sway me, if that helps illustrate his loyalty to this idea) and everyone's gut reaction is "NO."

This is more for discussion's sake because it's not happening, and I knew I could count on honest opinions here.  Thoughts on naming a child after an 80s TV jock icon and thus giving the middle name "Magnum?"  No?  Hell no?  Maybe?  And why?

Lol. Only if you're into it. I knew someone with the middle name mcgyver after the show. I thought that was pretty cool.

Honestly I think of Condoms first, then ice cream.  I would not have thought of the show.  At least it's the middle name but personally I would not go for it since the condom connection is too strong for me.

@AndiPandi127 and @Bringmemylongswordho I know!  Actual words I said to H: "Think about what kind of precedent you'd be setting for his personality and, uh, physical traits!"  He's convinced he'd still be setting the kid up for success.  Oh geez.  *eta Let's bump this off the list of important considerations in choosing a name.
