WTF Principal of my school! It's 8:17 and I've received an email to see her to discuss my lieu hours and when I plan to take them since there are only 2 weeks left of the school year. This would be fine, if I hadn't already had a meeting with her where I outline my hours that I will earn and exactly when I plan on taking them so they don't interrupt the exam schedule. She wrote it down on a calendar, put my name in it and filed it. She requested an email when I maxed out my hours. A week later I sent an email recapping the conversation including when I will be taking the hours and sent it to everyone it affected, which she sent a thank you response back. Last week I sent an email letting her know I maxed my hours, which she asked me to let her know when I planned on taking them. Umm okay? Again? Sure, fine! So I pretty much copied and pasted my previous email and away I sent it. Now I got an email this morning to meet with her to discuss my plan on taking it. WHY?!?!? Let me just add this woman hates me! HATES ME! She finds me when her day if going wrong and blames me for the world's problems, so naturally I avoid her like the plague! And now I HAVE to go meet with her. Let's hope I can get this done early today or else my blood pressure at my appointment this afternoon is going to cause problems for my doctor!
WTF thunderstorms for waking me up every couple of hours with your ridiculously loud thunder?!? Now I'm sleepy and have to get through a business dinner tonight.

Re: the original situation, you're much nicer than I would be about it. Not that I'd be hateful because it's my boss, but I'd definitely have referenced my original email to her in my reply. I'd probably also question the need for the meeting to discuss again. "Hi, is there an issue with what we discussed on x date or is there another purpose to the planned meeting? Please see my email re-cap below for reference of our original conversation." I mean... it just sounds like she's wasting your time and if you're like me, my time at work is precious and often not enough to get everything done...lol
WTF to my co-worker who just came to my office. He said that my boss had asked him yesterday to be in our lunch meeting today. Okay, fine. I assume my boss counted him in our numbers for food. But then he says he only eats vegetarian but "just didn't say anything" and wanted to know if I had ordered any vegetarian food. Well, no, no I didn't since no one told me to. I told him the food was already ordered, but he wants me to call the restaurant to see if we can change one of the lunches. The food is being delivered at 11:00, and the place doesn't open for me to call until 10:30. So now I have to look like a rude-ass and call the restaurant and ask them to change a lunch last second.
What person has a super specific dietary need but "just doesn't say anything" about it when he knows he's going to a LUNCH meeting?! Why? If this had been me, I would've just sucked it up and brought my own lunch... or just eaten the chips and brownie out of the box provided for me... because I was the dingdong who didn't mention my dietary restriction to the people getting the food.
In my opinion this is super annoying and rude, but I don't know why I'm so upset about it. I think it's because this guy has been causing issues on our floor for a while now (leaving dirty dishes in the sink; making coffee at the end of the day and then leaving the coffee pot on all night; etc.) so now I just have no desire to cater to his inconsiderateness.
@bamacoop If he "didn't want to say anything" then why did he decide to say something at the last second? That's ridiculous. Either say something right away or suck it up and bring lunch.
WTF I just cried at work because someone used my parking lot space and I was running late, security guard asked me if something was wrong and I could barely speak... I felt stupid, to cry over running late, my boss don't even care about me running a bit late lately.... thank you hormones!
WTF appetite! Yesterday I had to force myself to eat lunch at 2pm because I just wasn't hungry. Today, I'm ready to eat my hand and it's only 9:30 in the freaking morning!
Also, WTF to it raining every single day during the summer! I've lived here all my life; I know afternoon storms are a thing every summer, but I hate it. I hate opening my weather app and seeing the thunderstorm icon listed every day for the next NINE DAYS. Ugh. I just want to have ONE good hair day a week... Is that too much to ask?!
Just got called into an emergency conference call where I was informed that the agency is "re-analyzing" all positions & as of Monday my job duties are completely changing. My old job will no longer exist & I am being re-assigned...but don't have full details of what my new job will be yet. As of now, I still have a job, but that could obviously change at any time. To say I'm freaking out would be a vast understatement...

WTF to my belly. When I first bought maternity clothes back in first tri (wow, saying "back in first tri" makes it feel so long ago), I bought them for the cuteness and vanity factor...not for necessity factor.... but lately, I can't fit into ANYTHING else but maternity clothes.
Well I went ahead and called the restaurant and they said they had already made all the boxed lunches, but could change one out. I double checked with my boss that he had asked the guy to come the meeting yesterday, and did. I then asked if the guy had mentioned he doesn't eat meat, and he didn't. Just to make sure it was actually the guy being weird, and not that my boss forgot (it happens sometimes.)
So no... the guy literally agreed to come to a lunch meeting without mentioning his vegetarianism. When I told my boss that frustrated me, he laughed and just said "well now we know." Men. Ugh.
@Kaessi fingers crossed for you. I hate hate hate not knowing, I hate uncertainty...but hopefully this turns out to be a blessing in disguise for you and you end up loving your new position even more!
@Kaessi Oh yikes =( Try to relax until you find out what you're being reassigned to, then be very straight forward with them once you know and tell them you NEED to know if you can rely on that as a permanent job position or not. I would also keep in close contact with your HR department over the matter. Best of luck and positive vibes your way!
Oh I have another WTF. I got my first unsolicited belly rub yesterday on the elevatory by a MAN STRANGER!!!! This is a dude who I see in the elevator once in a while, and we talk about like the weather or the coffee or new restaurants on the block... but I don't know his name, he doesn't know mine, we aren't friends. Not even acquaintances.
Yesterday, I changed into gym clothes and was on my way down to the car to drive to my class when he walked in the elevator... He said "oh are you going to the gym? Oh wait are you pregnant?!??!?!?" Then before I could even react, he touched my belly and rubbed it and said congrats! I stood there with my mouth open. I stammered a "thanks". WTF?!??!?!?! I didn't know what to do!
Omg okay this day just went from wtf to fucking hell!! My blood pressure at my appointment this afternoon is going to be AWESOME!
Okay as my previous post mentions I work at a high school (sign language interpreter) and every year I provide support during summer school, and the process has always been we tell our boss of the department (different than my school principal) and the teachers of the deaf - well this year they did a job posting but of course no one told us. As permanent employees, why would I watch the job board? Well the 1 contract interpreter noticed it and applied, but as someone that didn't know this procedure was new, didn't mention it to everyone else. The other permanent interpreter (higher sonority than me) and myself ended up emailing the coordinator and he responded saying he's just waiting for confirmation on who is taking summer school and then will be hiring accordingly. Well between yesterday and today, the contract interpreter and the other permanent got confirmed for the job. Umm what?! I work within a union and a government job, how does someone that is a contract get a job over me?? Not only have I been working in the board longer than her, I've been an interpreter longer than her! She's a great interpreter so I feel like an asshole for taking this to a higher level, but I've had to email my big boss and the union president because I can't claim my employment insurance for mat leave until September and we can't live off of what my husband brings home for 2 months because it's crap and I am the breadwinner (so even with mat leave it'll be tight but doable but no income from me for 2 months?! We will be at least 2gs short a month!). And then just to add some cherries on this big pile of shit my husband messages me to warn me they are talking about cutting hours at his work. Annnnd cue hyper ventilation!

My WTF is that DD looks like she has an eye infection again and my ped is being super vague about how long I should put medical drops in her eyes. I specifically asked how many days I should continue the meds and he said, "a few days". What the FUDGE does that mean?

And when I told him I usually don't, but nothing else sounds good he got all judgey and kept giving me this weird look. Back off dude! I feel like shit! And I've been eating lunch meat for 28 years and never gotten listeria, I'm sure I'll be fine.
