A lot of people on here really like this name. But you asked for honest opinions, I really don't like the name at all. It reminds me of the band Imogene Heap, and doesn't sound like a girls name to me in the slightest.

I don't understand the appeal of this name. Makes me think of the word emoji, or imaging, and just doesn't sound like a name at all.

Imogen Heap isn't a bad, it's the name of the singer who is a woman.

This was on my list but DH vetoed it. It wasn't one of my top 3 choices but I do like the name enough to have considered it for DD. If you love it, go for it.

This might be weird, but all I hear is imagin' which is how people in the South pronounce "imaging." I worked near an imaging department so that might be why.

I like the name and have a positive association - as a child I loved the book The Best Christmas Pageant Ever and the character Imogen from that story. I haven't read it since I was a kid so not sure how it stands the test of time but it's what I thought of upon hearing the name. Good luck!

My honest opinion? I can't, for the life of me, understand this name's appeal. It sounds atrocious. It makes me think: emoji or imagine. And it just sounds so awkward and....yuck. Just no.
