What's se tn? (that may give away the fact that I'm not a se tn mom!).
I am absolutely roasting though, 7 months of heat with this little heater attached. I usually cope with it pretty well, but struggling today. Thank god for aircon.
I live in NE TX (see what I did there?), and its hot. I drink more water and gatorade than I think is necessary and utilize the great indoors as much as possible.
I live in SW MI and it is hot and humid here most of the time now too. I second the water and gatorade and air condition that @texasmama2014 talked about. We go to the lake or the pool to cool off when we can or I just sit in the kids pool in the back yard. It is big enough for me and the kids to hang out in.
I've been living on ice water at work, where we make air conditioners but don't have air conditioners. (Ironic, huh?) We hit 124 degrees in the building a couple of days ago, so I ended up filling sandwich bags with ice and packing them into the back of my pants and bra. LOL
TX heat indexes have been around 106 this week Extra fans in the house + AC is my friend. You may also be able to get a fan for your desk or area at work. Meanwhile, a kiddy pool is sounding enticing
I'm not American so the initials were confusing! I'm living in Malaysia though, so appreciate the heat issue. I think it's been easier in that it's been a constant heat all of pregnancy rather than a sudden change of temperature /season. But my feet are now balloons.
I'm an east tennessean and holy cow. I knew the heat was gonna be rough at 8 months pregnant, but I didn't expect it to wear me out like it does!! DH used to freeze me out in the house and now he wakes up shivering while I can't even look at the blanket without burning up lol.
I think it's about time that I BEG my doctor to have them put me on light duty. My supervisor has been refusing to put another fan at my work area, and still expects me to work as fast as I could last summer when I was very much not pregnant.
