TTC After a Loss

Long intro

Hey ladies. First let me say that I am so sorry for all of your losses. I have been lurking for a couple of days and I admire how supportive and strong this group is! DH and I recently started TTC and we were thrilled that I became pregnant after only a couple of months of trying. We found out we were pregnant 5 days before the miscarriage. I had bright red bleeding last Wednesday and just knew something was wrong. I was scheduled for betas Wednesday and Friday. When I saw my OB Friday he told me my HCG from Wednesday was only 15 and called later Friday and it was 4.4. I have been blessed to have had it fairly easy physically, but the emotional toll has been something else. This was my first pregnancy and I'm not sure how I can find joy if I get pregnant again. My husband and I have decided not to wait for AF to start trying again. Hopefully we will all have a short stay on this board!

Re: Long intro

  • So sorry for your loss. Even though it was an early loss, it was a life that was truly wanted, and it's devastating all the same. Hugs to you, and I hope your stay on this board is also short and sweet!

  • Welcome to this board - we all understand how a loss at any time can feel. Wishing you luck for the next time around.
I had a similar experience with my first bfp - about 5-6 days later I felt different and took a test. It was a bfn. I was so confused and had betas done for a few days to confirm they were going down. Such a stressful time and left me with so many questions/ anxieties. These boards can be very helpful with all of that.
