Re: FFFC (June 03)

  • I just realized it's June... I'll use that as my confession. Don't know what I've been doing with myself since the end of May.
  • Loading the player...
  • I ordered eggs bennie today for breakfast and asked for my eggs to be poached medium, but they came super runny and I ate it anyways.  My dish was so hot I figured I was safe.

  • Oh I have one more - I need to clean the house today for a family BBQ tomorrow, and I'm seriously considering a nap instead.

  • @UponAStar16 I'm the same way, i always open early, the suspense kills me!

Also, I can't stand to give gifts on the actual birthday or holidays. I just get to excited and as soon as I buy the gift I give it to the person and I'm like Open it Open it! even though I know what it is I get so excited.

  • As happy as I am/grateful as I am to be pregnant, esp with two little nuggets, I can't help but miss my pre-pregnancy bod so much. Especially watching how rapidly I am growing and knowing that I'm only a little over halfway there. I look like I am well into my third trimester and I am only 20 weeks! I can't imagine the havoc this pregnancy is going wreak on my body during pregnancy and what it will leave me with.

I had a major brain lapse the yesterday while signing and dating paperwork at the doctor's office and I turned to DH and asked, "Is it 2015 or 2016?" Dead serious.
I had a doctors appointment and he was confirming how many weeks I am (21) but I thought he was confirming my age and I was all "oh...no I'm....wait how old am I?? 32!" Ya he laughed and said "no your pregnancy, 21 weeks?" Riiight

  • I have been on field trips to a water park at the beach for the last 2 days, and I do not feel one bit guilty for neglecting my end of the year responsibilities until next week. It has been so nice to forget about work and read a book for 2 days :)

We have a service club that I'm a part of. There is a girl in the group who really nobody likes but most people just manage to be civil around her. Yesterday she had organized a meeting at a very random place (read: bar) that none of us would ever go to, and then ran the meeting as basically her own personal interview with the bar owner - asking him weird questions and interrupting his answers constantly.  It was very awkward and I felt like I was inhaling stale smoke fumes from back in the day when people could smoke in there. Everyone agreed it was by far the worst meeting/event we have ever had.

    My FFFC:
I no longer can hide my dislike for this girl and I don't even care. I didn't acknowledge her after the meeting even though she said bye to me.

  • @kmolleltz ... sorry you had a bad week! I wish I had a suggestion for something that would replace wine... there's just no substitution.

@bnsmith85  thanks, I too wish there was a healthy pregnancy substitution. Haha.

  • While I'm glad I'm far enough along to feel Baby move, a lot of the time I don't like it! It feels weird, and it's also slightly annoying because I'm not doing it so I can't make it stop when I want to.

That makes me feel horrible. But I'm sitting at my desk at work and Baby has been moving like crazy for the last hour and it feels weird to me still (I'm hoping I'll learn to like it more later on??) and yet I can't just make the moving stop. So that's a weird feeling in and of itself. Like an itch on your leg that won't go away, but that you can't scratch.

I've told a couple of people and they don't get it. I keep getting "What?! Baby moving is the BEST feeling in the WORLD! How can you not LOVE IT?!!!!"

    Am I the only one?

  • @bamacoop You're not alone. Mine will wiggle down low and start kicking and it gives me lightening crotch so bad =/ and it's like he always waits until I'm driving so there is a seat belt pressed up on him accentuating the kicks, or when I'm  trying to fall asleep. I love being able to feel him, but it's  awfully uncomfortable sometimes.
  • I have a large iced latte everyday this week. There so fattening, by oh well im so tired this week I could care less.

My birthday supper is tonight and I am dreading it cause I seem to have issues about getting old for some reason.

@bamacoop No I get it. Sometimes the kicking just feels WEIRD and it even makes me a little nauseous. It really can feel like you're growing an alien.

@sjo_thetwins I've been struggling with this a lot too, esp this week. I miss my clothes & I don't feel even a little bit sexy. I feel like I never got a  "cute bump" phase and instead went straight into the oompa-loompa phase. My hips, ass & thighs are rapidly expanding along with my stomach & there doesn't seem to be a thing I can do about it.  This is kind of hard to deal with at times...

I'm with you @bamacoop and @lindzsers - I almost made this my FFFC, as the past couple of days it's just been really weird, uncomfortable, and makes me sick to my stomach feeling my stomach move without me controlling it.  I've always wanted this feeling, but I'm hoping I like it more as he gets bigger and hopefully moves up or away from where he currently is rolling and kicking around (right in front of my belly button).
Edited: My grammar has gone to crap.

I will also complain about baby movement. B likes to burrow in my ribcage and it makes it really hard to breath.

I bought 1/2 dozen donuts with the intent to share them with DH. But I'm not going to. I'm also getting Carne Asada Fries for lunch because the salad I brought sounds disgusting.

I only planned to eat a few of the Munchkins I bought for donut day today.... I ate them all. And hid the Dunkin box in the trash so DH doesn't judge me when he gets home from work.  Whoops!
  • I'm with you guys on baby movements being wierd. But at the same time, if baby isn't moving much, I get worried.

DH and I talk about how weird it is all the time! So you're definitely not alone in thinking it's weird :) I still really think it's awesome though
  • I still can't really tell when the kid moves, she moves most when I move like going up the stairs etc so now I think I'm making the whole thing up. She rarely if ever moves on her own, am I nuts???

Also, sometimes I want to punch my hubby in the face when he speaks very loudly at my belly , he wants to make sure she can hear him..... it's sweet he's so excited, but really??
  • I get irrationally embarrassed when I notice I've made a spelling error.
I once made a grammatical error in an email to a group of friends and I was embarrassed about it for a week.  I still think about it over a year later.
  • @AllyTheKid I lost track of the last few months. I KNOW it's June, but mentally I'm still back in March. WTF 2016?

@Bamacoop I enjoy it, unless it is her kicking my bladder. I remember being so irritated with DS because it hurt and he was alway hiccuping on my darn hipbone when I was trying to sleep. It's a love/hate thing that I'm sure everyone has but won't admit

  • My mom just got here and she's in the kitchen making dinner while I bump. I'm not offering to help.

  • I don't mind opening presents. and @ByeBabyBunting I am selective when I pull the preggo card. Friday afternoons? I don't wanna do Aanythingggggg

  • My husband got switched to second shift (opposite of my schedule) when he got his promotion, plus he's a super hypochondriac, so it's been really nice to not listen to him talk about what new medical crisis is killing him everyday since we only see each other now on the weekends.
