I just opened the door to let my dog outside and feed him. As soon as I went to step out the door, I was greeted by what seemed in the moment as 500 lizards. It looked more like 3 after I got back inside but dang, I'm terrified of those little buggers. I quickly closed the door and had to reconsider my evening routine. Wet dog food inside sounds like a good call. Totally. Freaking. Out.
Today I am relieved to be off from work! I am a nurse in a busy emergency room, I just finished working 72 hours since last Tuesday. My ankles and feet are paying the price. Haha. I decided to take vacation time so I could take one last vacation before LO gets here! One of my co-workers gave me a hard time about taking vacation right now when I'm going out on maternity leave in 2 months. This same woman likes to point out how big my belly is getting. Ugh she's so annoying. Anyway, this mama is excited to have the next 12 days off!
Going for a check up today, 30 weeks tomorrow! We got our glider in our nursery yesterday! Can't wait to rock my little girl!
I know I'm in the minority here, but I just drank my glucola and thought it tasted amazing! But I'm also a huge fan of orange soda so that may have helped.
90% humidity in Austin, Texas this morning, and the elevator decided to stop working in the parking garage. And when I arrived, the available spots were on the 7th Floor. FML.
And if I show up to work in August and find a similar elevator situation, I totally will just drive home and call it a work from home day.
I'm sitting in the waiting room doing my 3 hr glucose test and, man, these 3 hours are dragging! I wish they would at least put me in a room where I could take a nap!

They make you sit out in the waiting room for these? Damn. Any shopping near by that you could do in between each draw?

@midwestbaby I wish! No, they make you stay in the office the whole time. It's such a waste of valuable babysitter time, I could at least be getting my nails done or something! I also feel pretty nauseous from the drink (which I think is 10x's worse than the 1 hr drink) so that's not helping the situation.

I feel you on that! I had to take mine on Tuesday and the power was knocked out by some construction near by which ment the AC wasn't working. FX you pass!
@Lynnlove28 that's torture!! I hope you passed! I've created a comfortable little corner in the waiting room at this point, because I needed to put my feet up - sitting upright in a chair for 3 hrs just doesn't work for me anymore. Luckily I'm on my last hour!
DH and I both teleworked this morning and he was on a conference call with his boss.
Usually when he's on a call, he's muted but I forgot this was just a call between him and his boss so he didn't put the phone on mute.
Being at the comfort of our own home, I let out a pregnancy big one if you know what I mean. It was so loud that there's no doubt his boss heard it.
There was this moment of pause among me, DH, and his boss on the phone. I had to hold in my breath from laughing too hard and DH got so bright red!!
A good min or two after his boss heard me rip (he doesn't know it's me- could think it's DH), he went onto another topic for them to discuss. I'm pretty sure he was like, "WTF?"
@AliKay20 I am literally laughing out loud at my desk at work! I've been there, as some of you may recall I let one slip a couple months ago in my new employee orientation. Those little buggers just slip right on out!!
@AliKay20 that's hilarious! I can't stop laughing out loud either!
I really hope I pass this glucose test. I didn't know you had to sit in the office for three hours on the second without being allowed to leave! That sounds like torture. The waiting room chairs aren't that comfy.
@Bookhousegirl I had my three hour test today too. I started getting really dizzy and faint about 45 minutes into the first hour and they let me lay down in the back for a little. The first drink I thought tasted kind of good, this one made my throat burn when I drank it.
@Bookhousegirl I took it Tuesday and they said the results are typically back by the next day. They said no news is good news and it's now Thursday so I'm hoping that I'm in the clear. My appointment is next Friday and they said that if I passed they would just give me my results then.
@midwestbaby I know! I didn't think I would ever be this happy over being told there was something wrong with me, and I may need surgery ... Oh, so the baby is fine? @Car0liiine Now that I know what it is, I am going to try to hang in there until after the baby is born. I have an appointment next week with the surgeon to discuss options.
And regarding the stroller thing - i think part of the "don't let them sleep in car seats" is leaving the child unattended. Usually if baby is in the stroller, they are facing towards mom or dad.
So, we just moved, switched insurance, and switched providers. Had my first doc appt yesterday, all went well, like the new doc, feeling good. Figured out today that although the new doc is in-network, the hospital she delivers at is not. Whomp Whomp. So, I will probably have to switch again. Calling tomorrow to make sure she doesn't have delivery privileges elsewhere. Insurance is so stressful and confusing! Wish we were still back with my old OB and hospital that I knew was covered under our old insurance. :-(

Oh man! It's so hard to find a doctor you like, hopefully she will have privileges somewhere else or can reccomend another OB for you! Insurance blows.
I called around today checking to see if circumcision is covered by our insurance. She said that if it's done at the hospital they cover 60% after the deductible is met but it isn't my deductible it would be the baby's deductible so obviously it wouldn't be met yet. I was planning on paying out of pocket for it anyway but it's annoying how they cover it. She said they would cover it 100% if it was done in a doctors office and filed a certain way but I'm not even going to try and mess with that.

We're Jewish so we have it done outside of a hospital or doctors office. I never even thought of trying to submit it to insurance. Now I'm curious as to if it would be covered (though I assume it's not)
November '16 Zika virus thread! Lots of entertainment. It also appears they had a shit stirrer early on with a bunch of posts being closed and people banned.

Wow, that was....interesting
As much as I love some drama I am glad that we have just enough snark here to make it interesting but not so much that our threads blow up and people get banned.

Ok, this is pretty random but I just saw a news story about a giant panda in China that faked it's pregnancy symptoms (I kid you not) for the comfy cage with AC, better grub and treatment.
All I could think is "so this is the real catfishing I was warned about on the bump!" LOL that and, "I would do a lot for some AC, smart Panda"
I would link the story but I am not clear if that is a TOS violation. It was the Washington Post if anyone wants to Google.
It's so funny that the op thinks her husband is going to get tested. They wouldn't test my husband who got many mosquito bites while in a country where the virus is locally acquired. I really wish they wouldn't close threads like that. It's so funny to see where they go.

I guess since all the May mamas have had their babies and June is in progress, it's time to start lurking backwards on the BMBs.
Good spot @kristynmac
