Just posted ours an hour ago! So happy with how it turned out. Kid was grumpy because she was "scared" don't know of what but whatever we got at least one decent shot
My husband and I met while doing the Disney college internship so we used Mickey ears we made while at Disneyland last month. We announced after our 12 week ultrasound!
Also, confession...I started planning my first pregnancy's announcement when I was 6 weeks pregnant. I'm currently 12+1 and have no clue what to do. Whoops.
OK, so for DH's family reunion announcement, he decided to go old school and just tell everyone verbally. I finished our FB announcement yesterday, with some help from my mom. I'm pretty happy with it. <3
Edited because I just realized that the month wasn't on the original picture.
is anyone doing a 4th themed announcement.... I want to put dd in a cute 4th dress and announce on Saturday on social media... I have a white board I want to write the message on but I don't love all the classic ones on Google. I kinda liked "today we celebrate red white and blue and that mommy is due with baby #2" but I don't like that is have to wait until Monday lol! Help!!
@emilyn2012 I don't see why you couldn't use that same phrase but instead of 'today' just say 'this weekend'. I know the official 4th is Monday, but people tend to celebrate all/any days of the long weekend. I think it would be cute!

I agree with @sldp123, I think it's fine to post over the weekend instead of waiting for Monday. Even though the 4th is technically on Monday, because it's a three-day weekend, people will likely celebrate all weekend. I know my hometown has a lot of 4th of July events on Saturday/Sunday.

I've been sitting on this for a while, too nervous to post it. Maybe next week after our first MFM appointment? IF did shitty things to my anxieties. (Mobile bumping so I have no clue what size that is, sorry if it's huge!)
We announced publicly on Monday, with 2 pictures. I posted the pink cat-related one (we have 4 cats), and my husband posted the blue Leicester City Football Club one (you may have heard of them, they are a soccer team from England who just won the Premier League (like the Super-Bowl of soccer) with 5000 to 1 odds! My husband is from Leicester, England). I decided that I don't care if you all see my face and name. Lol. I'm just so relieved that the secret is out!
I made these countdown blocks for both grandmas to "announce" to our families. We haven't said anything on social media yet and we might not- we didn't with our first.
We have big brother and big sister shirts for my son and step daughter to wear to a family party (on my mom's side) on Saturday. I am thinking about posting a pic of the kids in their shirts without a caption next week after I tell work. I didn't announce on FB until 6 months with my son, so I'm not sure.
I really think I'll announce at 10 weeks to me which is crazy sauce since I somehow waited until 13 with my first.... Why am I more impatient this time around?!
@TinaBelcher I'm scared shitless to announce. I'm 90% sure I'll announce tomorrow after my NT scan. I feel like my announcement doesn't do this baby enough justice. Plus I'm still in denial that I'm pregnant.
When we announced my daughter, we used this onesie with her hashtag. She also wore it home from the hospital. Now she has a new hashtag. The baby will also wear this onesie home from the hospital. Edited because the hashtag contains our name.
We probably going to do old school and say it verbally this week bbq. I don't have facebook only IG so when we find out what's the gender than I will announce via social media.
@emilyn2012 same here! We told our families at 10 weeks this time (so I thought, turns out I was only 8w5d!!!) and with our first we waited until 2nd trimester even though we were actually living with my parents during a move at the time!!! I'm was say more impatient this time. I think some of it has to do with feeling more confident this time around and worrying less
Today was my mom's birthday. My sister and I (who haven't gotten along in years) took mom out to dinner. I put my sons Big Brother shirt on. a little bit after my sister goto he resturant, he took his bib off. She looks at it and says "oh" I guess it's better then when she said "I don't know what you want me to say" when I told her I was getting married. Or when she said nothing when I announced about my son. She is such a gem.
I found a picture of champagne glasses with a champagne flute bottle next to it. In the caption I said "We're poppin bottle of a different kind this year. Baby due January 2017". Since we are due right after new year's.
We announced on social media today! The caption said "We're celebrating Fourth of July differently this year!" We also posted another picture that says the baby is due in January. The Fourth made this super fun!
Just announced on social media! We had a handful of these cards printed out for family so I decided to use one for the social media announcement as well. We can't meet to meet our little firecracker!!
Oh god I did it. I posted to social media. For some stupid reason I'm just a nervous wreck over it. (I already gave the people I know dealing with loss or IF a heads up)
