We told DH's aunt last night. She was excited, but DH says she heavily hinted it had better be a boy. She then proceeded to interrogate him as to who else knew, were we going to tell his other aunts and uncles and cousins, when the baby was due. Thankfully she didn't ask if we knew the sex or if we were going to find out the sex.

Kanye and the Kardashians need to find a cave or a hole, go in there and just never come out. They're all stupid. Other more important things going on in the world.

Wait what? It looks like I've missed some news. Must catch up during lunch hour. I don't care how trashy they are, I love the Kardashians. My biggest guilty pleasure. And honestly, some days I wish I was a Kardashian. I would love to be rich for doing not much more than tweeting and instagramming.

Well, last random thread I mentioned that my "friend" decided to go to the courthouse for military benefits before her big wedding because "Courthouse marriages don't really count!"

I haven't seen her in a week, and DH said he saw her and her fiance yesterday. The guy was wearing a wedding ring, so he asked if they tied the knot. Her response?

"Well, we were GOING TO but then we saw that you ACTUALLY HAVE to go the COURTHOUSE  to get married, and we deserve so much better than that. We are better than that!"

I am so glad I wasn't there because I would have slapped a bitch. It's the same courthouse we got married at. I have to see her tomorrow and it's going to take some considerable strength for me not to knock the piss out of her. Baby is the Hulk right now.

@dmontgo ugh I can't even imagine. I would not be able to handle that kind of person at all. It really sucks you have to deal with it tomorrow.

@kbduke I do in the summer time. My girls are DD, and boob sweat is real. It helps dry things out somewhat.

@dmontgo I don't think I would have been able to hold back a snarky remark if I were in your husbands shoes when talking to her. It's seriously sad that people like that exist that either know what they're saying and don't care or are too self absorbed that it doesn't occur to them. Either way, she sucks lol. I'll be praying for your sanity tomorrow, although it might be beneficial for her to hear some honest truths about how she's been acting... Good luck!

Maybe this is more of an UO but since it's in this thread I'll say here - I have zero interest in the Kardashians/Beyonce/others like them and it seriously annoys me how obsessed as a nation people are with them all. There are so many more interesting, relevant, meaningful things to spend time discussing, watching, reading about - even just for entertainment. It seriously is like fingernails down a chalkboard to me, I can't stand any of it

@dmontgo you are SO lucky to be friends with the queen of the world *eye roll* I wouldn't be able to handle her. 

@kbduke we used baby powder on DD in the beginning. I think it's a thing now not to (because it can poof out and go into baby's lungs or something) but I would shake it out in my hand away from her face and then pat it on to dry things up. It's probably not a necessity but I also think it made her smell really good!

@kbduke - traditional baby powder is now on the no-no list due to risk of lung damage and inhalation concerns - you're supposed to use ones with corn starch I believe. That being said, many of them are now made that way due to this

@mimi603107 DH said he laughed out loud, but otherwise didn't say anything. He is more calm than I am. But I think you are right; tomorrow I know she's going to want to "catch up" and talk to me about it, and I'm going to flat out tell her that in her immaturity and obsession with appearances, she's losing sight of what is actually important. I'm sick of her.

The cornstarch reminded me of the Color Run I'm signed up to do in July. I'll be at the end of 17 weeks then. I know the powder they throw is just colored corn starch, and I've always worn glasses but plan to have a bandana or mask over my mouth/nose when running through the color zones. Last year, I could tell in pics that I had gained weight from the years before. Hence why my running shorts were so tight. At least this year, I'll have an excuse to look that way!

Anyone watch Drunk History? I started watching it recently on Hulu and it's hilarious and very fun way to learn some historical events. 

For those that don't know, it is basically historians or people knowledgeable of a historical event that describe the event while completely DRUNK.

@dmontgo WTF? Well, I guess it makes sense that she thought courthouse marriages weren't real, if she was under the impression that you DON'T EVEN HAVE TO GO TO THE FREAKING COURTHOUSE FOR THE MARRIAGE. Whateverrrr.

@kbduke I've been powdering my boobs for the past week or two because it's the only thing that relieves the itching. And if you're worried about the whole talcum powder/cancer association, it's only linked if you use it down thurr.

But if you're asking about actual baby usage, I can't really comment. I probably won't end up using it on my own, though.

@penelope4612 I had the exact same questions. DH said he had seen the guy start wearing a ring last week, but didn't ask him about it until yesterday. I can only surmise that she told him to wear it. As far as the secrecy, yeah, that's what she told me. She said that she especially did not want her mom to know (since her mom is footing the bill). But as you mentioned before it will come out, and seemingly already has. But she is just so stuck on how courthouse marriages don't look "nice" and "proper." I think she's extremely immature and dense, although she likes to say otherwise.

So I hate how Burger King got rid of their old chicken nuggets. They use to be the BEST!!! Oddly shaped chicken tenders that had a little spice to them. They were so delicious...Especially with the sweet and sour sauce. Le sighhhhhhh

@Christinaruth74 I hear you. I'm going to tell her tomorrow to stop talking to me about it. I don't know if pregnancy is making me feel angry or if I'm hurt by her comments, but I refuse to let her make me upset anymore. Not my circus, not my monkeys. I shouldn't care about her bullshit when I have much more important things in my life. 

@sammyl1221 And those more important things are the BK lounge and their nuggets. I used to love BK but now I feel very underwhelmed.

@queenklau - I LOVE Drunk History! So much! DH and I will even watch our DVR'd episodes more than once. I swear if history was taught like this more people would actually pay attention! Some of the "historians" are actually just comedian friends, but I can't believe I didn't know about this show until last year.

Got some books in the mail for le behbeh! We got some other stuff too but I'm super excited about getting this book collection going. We have many more books we want to get, but this is a good start. We are so excited to be having a baby! Wow.

@LinziLoo09 @cayaylonglegs I just left the place where I had to spend my day sharing oxygen with her (it was a nerd fest and I was there with DH). At first I pretty much ignored her, but as the day went on she'd throw out compliments about how thin I look, I'm glowing, blah blah. She was trying to start a conversation but I would just say "Thanks."

But towards the end of the day, she got me when I was literally in a corner. She began telling me that her fiance is wearing a wedding ring because she gave him it to wear, so he is. At this point I'm already irritated. She then says that they decided they're going to get married at a "proper" Courthouse in a different city and that THEN she's going to make sure that they get orders to Europe. (For those unfamiliar with the military, you do not dictate where you go. Especially as a spouse.)

I drew in a deep, deep breath, and the baby said,

"I don't know if you realize this, but your head is so far up your ass that you've completely lost touch with reality. In the future, please refrain from talking to me about your so-called idea of marriage, your problems, and I would especially appreciate it if you don't ask me to do activities with you. And, I'm uninviting myself from being a bridesmaid in your 'real' wedding."

She literally said nothing. She looked like she was going to cry, and turned and walked away. I have held my tongue with her for a few months because I don't *like* hurting feelings when there is no need, but I value my time and mental health. When I'm upset after every time I spend time with you, and I'm not easily upset, that tells me I need to cut you loose. Besides, DH gave me a high-five. So hopefully I nipped it in the bud and I don't have to deal with her anymore. Not gonna lose sleep. Thank you everyone for listening to me vent about her shenanigans!

I bought a Snoogle today and am very excited. I had kind of wanted one but was too cheap, but while at the mall I found one that was marked half off because it had been returned. Then it rang up even cheaper...$17! I had a cheap body pillow but it was flattened already.

Is anyone dressing up the blump/little bump already? I tried on skin tight maxi dress and it was very obvious (and cute), took a pic but then I felt weird dressing up the bump this early on...how do you guys feel?
