As I realize I'm still going to be around for another BSC cycle, I figured maybe a little getting to know you thread might be nice and keep things alive around here. I think this board is unique because we really don't want to be here, we want to be on the other side of things, but yet we're all still really supportive and positive for each other even if we are hoping that we won't be here for long.
It takes two to TTC, right? Here are just a few random getting to know you/conversation starters - focused mostly around your relationship with your partner:
1) How long have you been with your partner/known your partner?
2) How did you and your partner meet?
3) What are the three best traits about your partner that made you fall head over heels in love or that you value the most about them?
4) Physically, what are you most attracted to in your partner?
5) What are your favorite activities (other than TTC of course) that you like to do together?
6) Are there interests that your partner has that you really could care less about doing/sharing with them? Maybe you even do them anyway out of the kindness of your heart?
Good idea! I'm here for another round too and I'll play!
1) How long have you been with your partner/known your partner? We will have been together 13 years on June 13 and we have been married for 10.
2) How did you and your partner meet? We met at a group dinner for a mutual friend.
3) What are the three best traits about your partner that made you fall head over heels in love or that you value the most about them? kind to a fault, trustworthy as they come, super smart
4) Physically, what are you most attracted to in your partner? eyes and butt
5) What are your favorite activities (other than TTC of course) that you like to do together? Watch comedy shows/movies. We used to like to bowl but not so much anymore
6) Are there interests that your partner has that you really could care less about doing/sharing with them? Maybe you even do them anyway out of the kindness of your heart? I go to his GA Tech football games with him, and have for 13 years, despite the fact that I don't care about football and I an a GA Bulldogs fan/grad. :-P

1) How long have you been with your partner/known your partner? It'll be 18 months in three days - met January 2015, married last month/June 2016 (because of our ages at 38 and 41, didn't see any reason to draw things out).
2) How did you and your partner meet? OKCupid!
3) What are the three best traits about your partner that made you fall head over heels in love or that you value the most about them? His sense of humor, his intelligence, and his integrity
4) Physically, what are you most attracted to in your partner? I do like his blue eyes, and he has a pretty cute butt (for someone 6'1 with a 31" waist - kind of lucky he has one at all!)
5) What are your favorite activities (other than TTC of course) that you like to do together? We enjoy trying new restaurants together, hanging out with friends, going to see movies. DH got scuba certified in April just so he could dive with me on our honeymoon.
6) Are there interests that your partner has that you really could care less about doing/sharing with them? Maybe you even do them anyway out of the kindness of your heart? I have zero interest in marathoning (ran my first 10k last year and I'm good - Still prefer 5ks), I will accompany him golfing but I really have no business being on a course yet, and on our honeymoon I had my first canyoneering experience (rappelling, jumping off of rocks, scooting on my butt beside little waterfalls) outside of Cairns - it was fun, but I don't need to make a regular thing of it. He had season tickets to the opera (which I don't mind) and I to my college football games (our schools are crosstown rivals) - neither of us renewed our season tix this year but we'll still probably get select individual tix.

2) How did you and your partner meet? The old fashioned way-he was my bartender!
3) What are the three best traits about your partner that made you fall head over heels in love or that you value the most about them? Incredibly easygoing, loyal and just that, "you're an amazing person inside and out" quality that I can't really describe.
4) Physically, what are you most attracted to in your partner? He looks like Cary Elwes in the Princess Bride, what more can I say?
5) What are your favorite activities (other than TTC of course) that you like to do together? We are major homebodies, love sitting on our back porch, watching the planes fly over and chill.
6) Are there interests that your partner has that you really could care less about doing/sharing with them? Maybe you even do them anyway out of the kindness of your heart? Yup.....he smokes. About 1/2 pack daily. And I'm a physician assistant. But you can't make someone do (quit) something they aren't ready for. He's been talking about it for some time but there hasn't been a catalyst yet.

2) How did you and your partner meet?
Match.com, however the funny piece is that I was only on there helping a friend find somebody (her type is totally not my type). One day I decided to do one search for myself... He was cute, handsome similar interests, and a grasp of basic spelling and grammar, so I sent him a "wink". That was it!
3) What are the three best traits about your partner that made you fall head over heels in love or that you value the most about them?
Undoubtedly, his sense of humor, generosity, and sense of loyalty.
4) Physically, what are you most attracted to in your partner?
Overall, he's very athletic, and that's a draw, as I have always been a theater geek and very much... not.

Take a look at my blog
