Anyone want to start an announcement thread where all you creative bishes can show off your fun announcements? We have one planned but aren't planning to announce until mid-June but I would love to AW yours if you have!!

This is basically the announcement I used for DD, who was nicknamed The Parasite. I don't think I can top the photoshop job that DH did on this, so I just updated it for our second little parasite. This is what happens when a horror movie buff pictures labor...

This was our FB announcement. You couldn't see the "baby #3" sign very well but I didn't care that much. It is so hard to get DS to stay still for a pic so this one is actually fantastic compared to all the deleted ones.

I'm going to make some shirts for us and just take a pic for FB. I haven't decided exactly what mine will say but DH will get a Game of Thrones themed one. Hoping it will take a minute or two for someone to actually read what the shirts are announcing.

@aevan011 I bought a shirt off Etsy for DS that said "I'm going to be a big brother". He wore it when we went to see my dad and my grandparents who were in town. We were literally hanging out for hours and none of them read it! I had to point it out finally I couldn't take it anymore. Now my sister noticed in about 30 seconds haha.

My little man did his 2 year old photo shoot and He wore a sweatshirt that said BIG BRO. The pictures came out super cute. We are going to announce next week when my mom is in town. And give them out to family at his birthday party.

@newmamaro previous pregnancy was following honeymoon in scotland - I had a shirt made for DH that said "Went to Scotland & all I got was this lousy tshirt - and a pregnant wife!". He about peed himself when he saw it. Like your family, his parents didn't notice it the evening we told them....He had to say "Mom, please read my shirt". I'm hoping for similar with FB, as I think it would be funny.

I love Etsy for stuff like this. I think I'll tackle making my own this time.

I love all the announcement photos! Pinterest gets me everytime. DH and I decided not to announce this one on social media. Figured those who see us this summer will figure it out. We had DD1 announce her sister at 16 weeks last year

I surprised DH with an early gender scan for Valentine's Day so we knew but the picture was already taken.
This nugget we told our immediate family for Mother's Day.

DD2, who is always happy, was miserable and it was the only day in the past two weeks that it hadn't rained. I'm debating retaking it if we don't end up building an arc and floating away! Pinterest is my weakness!

Those are all so cute! My DH, who is a big movie buff, is working on a "teaser trailer" to announce that we're expecting, and then a "full-length" trailer after we find out whether we're having a boy or girl Bean. We're in the planning stage now, since we're going to make our (first) big announcement in June. This is his pet project - I'm letting him run with it and he's super excited about it!

Everyone has super cute ideas! This is our 1st, so I have been reacking my brain on a fun and creative way to announce publicly after our first appointment in a few weeks... and we'd probably wait another week to announce anyway.

DH is not into having pics taken, so I doubt I could get him to do anything like that. However, after we find out the gender, I plan on having some photos done with our wedding photog, as I have a credit to use with her and she is wonderful to work with! With that one, we'll do more cute pics - like with a onesie and the due date, little shoes, etc.

I was thinking of posting online something like this with a calendar and then adding the text of "Baby X arriving...", which is something I did when we set the date for our wedding as a FB cover photo:

I may not do the shoes, cos we don't have anything like that yet... but we'll see!

I want it to be different than what friends/family have done - shirts showing baby inside around the bump, a onesie, just the ultrasound pic, etc.

We worked our dog in to the announcement we used with DD. I'd like to use him and DD in our announcement this time, but I'm not sure yet what we'll do. This is the one we used for DD! (I cropped out our name just in case anyone's creeping around here

We ordered a t-shirt for our daughter that says "Only Child...status expires Dec 2016". We're just going to put it on her and see how long it takes for our families to notice.

Sorry it's huge. We did the chalkboard thing last time and not sure for this one. Probably put a big brother shirt on him and take him to the graduation party we have to go to where my entire extended family will be. He will wear it the next day for a Memorial Day picnic. For social media, we may do a walking dead thing since we're both huge fans. DS has a "Little Ass Kicker" onesie that he may wear and we can make another chalkboard thing that says "Littlest Ass Kicker due December 2016" Or "Every little ass kicker needs an assistant- Due Dec. 2016" Not sure

This is what I have so far...haha. (I'm a writer.) I'm probably not going to have an ultrasound when I announce on FB, so I'm trying to come up with cool stuff to fill it in with. Or maybe I'll just leave it like this and have a heartfelt announcement.

Oh! Oh! I just thought of something! I could get a moleskine and write "Baby H, coming in December" or whatever on it.

We announced at 9 weeks, on Mother's Day. We had already told all our family members and close friends, so it was more a formality than anything ha. People loved the drawing! My hubs drew it himself. It pays to marry an artist

The picture I took is on my other computer, but I set out a pair of shoes for my husband, myself, our son and the baby and wrote in chalk on the driveway our birth years. That is what we are going to send out tonight after my doctor appointment.
