Pardon my French... holy shit, doozer!!! I'm so glad you're okay! At least... gonna be okay </3 I'm so sorry to hear about your emergency hysterectomy. Whether or not you were hoping for more children, what a weighty thing to wake up to and have to process on top of everything else. Do you have lots of support at home? Anything you need I can help you with from afar? Is your family doing okay?
Wow - I'm so glad your survived loosing so much blood so quickly. It's crazy that something can go wrong even on a planned c-s. I'm also sorry that you had to lose your uterus - you have all of our support here - and it is normal to grieve the unplanned loss you sustained. Take care!
Are you planning to call your daughter June? I do love your name choice! I have a lovely neighbor named McKinley
We are calling her June but her legal name is McKinley June. We had planned to tie my tube anyways but a hysterectomy was a bit scary. He said he left an ovary so FX I won't have to deal with hormone treatment which is what scared me so bad once I was able to understand what went on. The medical staff here has been amazing. I've had people coming in on their day off and calling in asking about me bc apparently the situation was so bad. It's all so surreal to me bc I wasn't conscious for most of it.

I do have amazing support. My MIL has been staying at my house with the girls while DH, my best friend, and my mom have been taking turns at the hospital with me. DH isn't doing well right now but I think it's bc he's emotionally spent and he's now able to fell everything. They said the first surgery would only be another 20 min but after 20 min came and went he was given paperwork to sign regarding transfusions (I'm O- which was scary) and treatment to care where just 30 min prior I was up nursing DD2...It's all been a wild blur.

Wow. Your poor hubby! That's a bunch of crazy right there. I think I would be emotionally spent too in his shoes. Glad to hear you have lots of people in your corner to love on you and your family while you heal. How are you doing processing all of this?

I haven't really. I just know I'm in a lot of pain and that I've got a long road ahead of me for recovery. Skin to skin has helped a lot with pain management so they have brought her with me during the day. I'm just waiting to be discharged home and get back up on my feet. My blood count is still low and they've hooked me to oxygen again. I'm trying to stay positive.

How beautiful in such a painful whirlwind. Our babies need us so deeply, but sometimes they're our saviors too. Heading to bed, but you're on my heart tonight girl. Please get some good rest, I wanna hear how you're doing in the morning.
Oh no! I'm so glad you're on the road to recovery now and hope you're able to be home snuggling with your girls soon. I can imagine the emotional trauma your husband went through is on the same level as the physical trauma you did. Very scary. You are all in my prayers!
Holy cow!! I am so glad everything turned out okay and you're on the mend. I'm sorry baby went home without you and that you missed a lot of first, but at least she's healthy and you're getting there!! I hope you're back home with DH and you LOs ASAP.

Lurking from June... Thoughts and prayers to you momma. Take care of yourself and love on that baby. You've been through a lot and I'm so grateful you were taken care of so well. Give yourself time to heal. Much love.
I am so sorry to hear that you're going through this. Thoughts & prayers for a speedy recovery, & that you're able to join your sweet baby girl at home soon.
Rough night with a lot of pain. I miss my babies. Had a CT scan today bc I have a new hardness and tenderness on my stomach but they think it's a 3rd space and/or from my inflamed intestines. Got put on a full liquid diet and am so so so excited about the soup and chocolate shake I'm about to eat. No d/c in site yet

Omg! Good thing they were on it! Wow... just reminds us, nothing should be considered routine! I have my third csection on May 23rd. Get well soon, mama! You'll be home soon with your girly.
Well yay for eating! I admire you for seizing small victories like enjoying food again in the midst of missing your family and being in pain. I hope your soup and shake knock your socks off from deliciousness. I'm so sorry discharge is still an unknown and you're still so immersed in recovery Inflamed intestines sound...super fun. Geez Louise, girl, what a ride you're on. I hope tomorrow brings more healing and puts you closer to going home.
@araecaseyI've gotta have something to hold onto bc I keep hearing of the uphill battle I have for recovery ((ain't nobody got time for that!)). I've got babies to go home to! The food was glorious!

Does laughing hurt? Would a GIF party cheer you up? I have zero clue how to GIF, and I've been bumping for 2.5 years lol. But I'm sure other gals would oblige with silliness to make you smile. I haven't seen chicken nugget stuff grace the board in a while.
When do you get to eat real food??? Like food you get to chew?

My best friend sent me a GIF and I busted out laughing..Had to push the pain button but totally worth it haha!
I just asked the nurse and she says prob after 24 hours of having active bowels (which immediately started when I started my full liquid diet!!! So accomplished feeling) is when I can eat solids
