How did it go? UponAStar16, it took a long time for us too! We had to wait half an hour outside to make baby change position (we tried everything, stairs, carbohydrates, even singing ), than I had to turn side to side, to get baby in the right position. LO is all right, but isn't photogenic at all (takes after me actually), sizes are exactly on track with EDD.
Did you learn anything new about you or baby? That it doesn't like being examined (always turned away when the technician tried to show us its face), and SO learned the sex. I'm trying to hold on to being team green.
How far along were you/will you be? 20 weeks, 4 days
How did it go? The ultrasound tech seemed to not want to be bothered but I asked questions and she would answer with yes or no. She wouldn't even look away from the screen. The scan was at the hospital and everyone gets looked at by a hospital dr too and that one told me I should schedule a consult with a high risk specialist about my kidney disease. I called my regular OB and he said its a good idea even though everything has been good, just to be on the safe side. Neither the ultrasound tech or the dr had much of a personality and I'm very outgoing so it was hard to relate to either of them.
Did you learn anything new about you or baby? Little man is now 13 ounces!
@MrsB627 I had a similar experience at my NT scan. It was like the tech didn't realize she was doing an US on an actual person who was invested in the results. She was just going about her business and seemed annoyed when we asked questions. I'm so sorry I'm worried and interested in the health of my child. *eye roll* This was at the genetics office at the hospital and my AS is at my OB's office so I'm hoping I get the same girl I got for my 9 week intake scan. She was great and very reassuring!

@MRSCORKER I think some of them need a personality 101 class! And when it was time for the dr she was like ok now the dr will see you. I didn't know you get seen by one there and when I asked she looked at me like I was stupid. Then the dr came in and acted all high and mighty and whenever I asked something she answered like I should know. Because apparently I should have a medical degree lol... I didn't like either of them and it sucks that's where I have to go back for the consult and to finish the anatomy scan since the little guy didn't move to the right angles.
@MrsB627 That's very similar to what happened at my NT scan. The tech gave us little to no info so we were already nervous. When she was done she told me to get dressed and wait for the doctor and when the doc came in, she wanted to take a second look and do another scan. It freaked me out so bad, I thought something had to be wrong but the doc was great and assured me it was standard. The tech definitely should have told us that!

Had Anatomy scan on Friday!!! Just like some of you here, i did not get any info on weight or anything. Seems like i have to wait for my doctor for that. But... on the other hand, we are having a GIRL!!!!!!
@MRSCORKER I don't want to go back to that place because of their lack of personality lol... But too bad for them because I'll keep asking my questions I don't care who gets annoyed... I want to know!
Did anyone have their anatomy scan at a Kaiser location? My anatomy scan is scheduled with the radiology center at a Kaiser facility. Just wondering if they check your vitals & weight prior to doing the scan and how long the scan typically takes? (Just wanting to know about how long the whole appointment will last)
My scan is Friday && I'm having a gender reveal party Sunday! Ahh I'm so excited!!!!!
I just got home from my scan/ dinner with family!!
We were there for 80 minutes.. Baby did not want to show us his heart in the right angle. Needless to say I have to go back in 2 weeks so they can capture those images..
When is/was your scan? We had our scan Thursday May 19th
How far along were you/will you be? I was 19 weeks 6 days
How did it go? It went well! Baby was INCREDIBLY stubborn! Completely crossed at the knees and almost didn't let us see anything! We have to have another ultrasound at our next appointment to get pictures of a few things they couldn't!!
Did you learn anything new about you or baby? We are having a....... GIRL!!!! I am so excited I can't even contain it!! Baby seems to be measuring well, and seems healthy! She was laying transverse at the time of the scan.
Married 11-11-11 TTC only since Dec 2015. I had some weight to get off. Been working hard in the gym for over a year. BFP 02-15-16 with our first IT'S A BOY!!!
I just have to say that I love the support here! yesterday I was also a big ball of nerves for my AS and it was so nice to let you ladies know and receive support and <3s!
How far along were you/will you be? 20W 1D How did it go? Everything looks normal and healthy. We have to have another quick scan at 24 week appointment because baby wouldn't move to let her get images of the heart but everything else looks healthy. I didn't get any good images. They gave me a book with print out of pics but everything is pics of the spine, stomach, legs and feet, and boy parts, no profiles or anything that really resembles a human to share. He did wave at us at one point Did you learn anything new about you or baby? I think he's going to be a big boy. He was weighing 14 oz. She didn't tell me length or percentile. I googled avg weight at 20 week u/s and it gave 10.58 ounces so 14 seems big by comparison. After 12 week scan they changed edd to 10/10 from 10/1 saying I may have ovulated late. I was sure about LMP because it was Christmas. I'm wondering if he might be more on track for 10/1 now because the weight was so high.
@MKJeffrey2002 At my a/s our boy was about 10 oz and I was 19w1d. I am wondering if we're going to have a big baby too. DH, my brother and my grandfather were all big boys (10 lbs, 9lb1oz, and 13 lbs!!!) I was smaller but my mom thinks my due date was way off so they induced too early. Back in the day, who knows.

IT'S A BOY!!' And he's perfect! She did say his kidneys are slightly enlarged because the valves haven't developed yet so we get extra scans every 4 weeks until it resolves. OB wasn't concerned at all and said she's never not seen it resolve in utero in her whole career but worse case scenario, we work with a pediatric urologist after birth. She emphasized that that was worst case and very rare so I'm not gonna stress it. Thank you ladies so much for the well wishes and support! You all are the best!

@MKJeffrey2002 our "little one" was 12 oz at 19 weeks so we have a big boy on ours hands haha @ibabyloveb87 10 oz sounds right on track for 19 weeks according to the apps. The U/S tech said 9-12 oz is the range for 19 weeks when we went.
They didn't give me his weight, I meant to ask! He is Measuring another 2 days ahead but she isn't changinf my due date. I kinda want to say I'm 18+5 though, feels better than 18+2. Lol

Mine was measuring at 10 oz at 19 weeks 1 day and the tech told us that put is in the 57th percentile for weight, but explained that it doesn't mean anything as far as actual weight/size until week 30 or so.
How far along were you/will you be? 18 weeks 4 days
How did it go? I couldn't drink the full 40 oz. of water without having an accident so I managed about 28-30 which was plenty. I was nervous and the room was very hot so I had to stop after the first 5 minutes and lift the head up of the hospital bed and get a cool rag in my head because like someone else mentioned I was dizzy and lightheaded. It was an amazing experience overall and I glimpsed a sweet little face. I did get up halfway through to pee. Baby was hiding behind my belly button and was face down on the placenta so no profile pics. The little stinker also had the cord between his/her legs so gender is still a mystery!
Did you learn anything new about you or baby? Baby is measuring in the 40 percentile and everything is looking good but I will have to go back on June 4th to finish what they couldn't get measurements of. (Profile, Heart, Diaphragm) Hoping to find out gender then!
How did it go? Good! But not as exciting as our anatomy with our son because she hid the entire time! With our son we got a ton of great pictures including 3D. The ultrasound tech didn't have me do anything to help her move.. so we'll be seeing her again in 4 weeks to get a profile shot.
Did you learn anything new about you or baby? So far, she is looking perfect! Which is SUCH a relief because I took a lot of Zofran during the first tri and I was very nervous she was going to have something wrong because of it (stupid lawsuit ads!) But the U/S tech said everything looked great and I'm so thankful she's healthy! We get another ultrasound in 4 weeks because she couldn't see her face very well.. so I'm so anxious to see her little face.

My mom thinks by looking at me he'll be a big boy. I'm scared I'll have to have c-section because my son was 7 lbs 8 oz and I ended up with a 3rd degree tear (I'm 5'2 so I don't think my body can handle big babies) I was 5lbs 6 oz, but I was a few weeks premature (my mom never had regular cycles so who knows when I was actually due).
