Cannot wait to fully update this thread! My scan is May 19th! I'll be 19+6! I am going insane waiting! It's my first ultrasound and I am so ready to see this baby!
How far along were you/will you be?18+6. Midwife wanted it between 18-20 weeks.
How did it go? The scan was great. I just wish they would have had a screen in front so that I could see better. The baby was not very active this morning but when the ultrasound first started the baby had their feet over the head.
Did you learn anything new about you or baby? We did learn that the baby is measuring in the 67% for weight. I hope the baby evens out because this mama doesn't want to push out a big baby.
Did you learn anything new about you or baby? Yes, it is a girl and she weighs 10 ounces already and is measuring 3 days ahead. She looks amazing and I can't wait to hold her.
How far along were you/will you be? I was 17 weeks/6 days. They said they normally do it 18-20 weeks.
How did it go? It went amazing! We got to see the baby move for about 30 minutes. They were all over the place with the feet by the head. The only problem was that she wouldn't move the way they needed her to to measure the brain and heart fully so I get to go back in a month for another scan! They said that there was no cause for concern and everything looked fine but they wanted better measurements.
Did you learn anything new about you or baby? We learned that the baby is a GIRL! She is weighing around 8 oz.
When is/was your scan? This morning! How far along were you/will you be? 17w6d but the US tech said it was measuring at 18w5d. How did it go? Great! It lasted about 30 minutes. She measured arms and legs and spine and head, etc. We saw its fingers and toes. And saw it hiccupping! We have a CD now of pics and little movie clips. Did you learn anything new about you or baby? Just that it looks perfect and is measuring ahead. I am very relieved. Still team green!
@OrangeEv Congrats on a great scan! Have you been measuring ahead the whole pregnancy?
Nope, last time they measured (9weeks), I was measuring in line with my ovulation date. I'm just happy it's ahead and not behind.
I've been measuring 1 day ahead this whole pregnancy. I'm praying I'm still measuring on time or ahead when I have my AS in 2 weeks. It makes me so nervous!

Mine will happen at my next appointment, a week from today. I'll be 18 +1. I have a lot to distract me this week, but I'm still really excited and of course a tiny bit nervous. I've started to feel him move a lot, and we finally finally decided on a name, so things are feeling very real.
How far along were you/will you be? 18+1. My doctor typically tries to do it around 19 weeks, but I can't remember how/why mine got scheduled a bit early.
How did it go? Baby did NOT want to cooperate for the u/s tech. It was doing a handstand and acting shy. After almost an hour, which involved a break for me to move around and use the bathroom to see if that would shift baby, she was able to get all the measurements except the front of the face. But otherwise it was great! Baby was measuring right on schedule and everything looked normal.
Did you learn anything new about you or baby? I learned I have a posterior placenta. We are Team Green so we did not learn the sex. And from a certain angle, one of our pics makes baby look like a little T-Rex. ha!
How did it go? It was pretty good... we're having twins so it always takes forever. This time was almost 2 hours. But we finally found out genders! Baby a is a boy and baby b is a girl! My boy is showing signs of echogenic bowel so I got some bloodwork done to test if I'm a carrier for cystic fibrosis or cmv viruses. I'm not too worried about it because she said it almost always turns out to be nothing.
Did you learn anything new about you or baby? Like I said, we got genders today which was awesome news. My girl is measuring small but still within range but the concern is that she's measuring 20% smaller than my boy. Again, not much to worry about because that's something that could change in a matter of days.
How did it go? Great! Everything was perfect! The ultrasound tech was really great, she talked us through everything and gave us a DVD of the baby, pictures, and a couple 3D pics! We do have to go back in a couple weeks because he wouldn't show his butt (the bottom of his spine). Other than that he was very cooperative and bouncing all around.
Did you learn anything new about you or baby? It's a BOY!! And he's perfect
Mine is next Thursday I will be 18+3 it's early because we don't care about gender and I was high risk last time so high I ended up in special pregnancy program at Torontos Sick Kids Hospital.
How far along were you/will you be? I'm 19 weeks, 1 day.
How did it go? Fun fact - you don't need a full bladder for second tri ultrasounds. I had no idea and the ultrasound tech let me go to the bathroom midway through. Other than that, it was pretty great. The tech was wonderful and very supportive of us not finding out the sex. Even though the baby was moving around and I could see the heart beating, I still spent the first half of it waiting for her to tell us something was wrong, but everything looked really good!
Did you learn anything new about you or baby? The baby is in the 57th percentile for weight. I also learned that I'm half creeped out and half in awe that there is something inside me with a spine and feet!
@depineta i'm jealous that your baby is normal sized lol I forgot to add, our "little one" is 12 oz which is the very top of the range. He was measuring a week ahead at 20+1. DH said "that's good!" so I told him he can push the baby out

Hahaha good luck! It's great that the baby is growing so well but I have to say I was relieved the baby was very average sized!
How did it go? Great! He was quite the wiggle worm, and I'm pretty sure we have a thumb sucker. Measurements were right on track, and he weighs 9 ounces. We got 7 or 8 pictures to take with us. It was so amazing to watch him move around for an hour.
Did you learn anything new about you or baby? Yes, he's a boy!
For those of you not finding out the sex, @depineta and others, how does that work? I imagine if there's a penis hanging out there, it's going to be obvious! I really don't want to know what the sex is. I want to see our baby, but I don't want the surprise spoiled. Mine is on the 19th. I'll be 20+3.
@von1976 I haven't had mine yet but from what I understand, they are looking at so many different angles. I bet if you told the tech you didn't want to know, she could tell you when it's safe to look and when to look away for a second.

@von1976 we are team green. We told the ultrasound tech that we did not want to find out. She told us when she was in that area and to look away. The ultrasound tech said she didn't even look because she didn't want to slip up and say he/she during the rest of the ultrasound. If you don't want to find out just tell them before you start.
@von1976 everything others have said! We told the tech at the beginning and she had us look away anytime she was close to the area. She was a total pro and didn't give us any clues. She also double checked the printouts to make sure she wasn't giving anything away.

Even though there are totally recognizable parts--like arms, legs, spine, head, etc.-and it looks like a baby, there's also a lot of stuff that even when the u/s tech was telling us what it is still just looked like lights and shadows. We said we didn't want to know the sex and I don't think we would have recognized a penis or vagina on the screen if it had smacked us in the face. :P
In canada they don't tell you the sex in the ultrasound they turn screen peak then turn it back they send the results of sex to the Dr which you can call and get 24 hours later. We are going team Green because we have done prepared pink and blue we just want to feel the excitement of not knowing till the second it comes into the world. However I am dutch so our male children tend to have ears that stand out in an ultrasound lol. So if it's a boy I'll know just from the giant ears.
When is/was your scan? It was on Saturday the 14th.
How far along were you/will you be? I was 18+4 How did it go? It was amazing! It was about 30-40 minutes long, and we got to see the baby for a long long time. He had his toes in his hands and that just made me fall in love... Then he gave us a little yawn.... He was also folded up like a taco.
Did you learn anything new about you or baby? Yes, he's measuring 19 weeks, he's got beautiful full lips and so far he's perfect! He's also breech. I also learned I have an anterior placenta.... and learned a great deal about placentas (it's the sperm's responsibility to "make" the placenta as well as the umbilical cord.) and learned a lot about the cord too. I had no idea it usually had three vessels.
Here's a picture of his beautiful face nuzzling against my placenta!
@annabenanna Have you been feeling movement? I just posted this on the randoms thread but I was told I had an AP but I feel like I'm feeling movement and it's messing with my head. Also, did you know going in that it was a boy? Was it obvious at the scan? I will be 18+3 next week when I have mine and I really want to find out the sex! BTW... the little yawn is too much, I would die.

@MRSCORKER , yes! Definitely have been feeling movement already... The first movement I felt was about 2-3 weeks ago.... but very intermittent. I've been feeling him more and more lately, but when I have SO put his hand on my belly so he can feel the kicks, SO can't feel them. I have a feeling the AP has something to do with that. Even with the AP, I can find his HB really quickly on my doppler too. I don't think you're imagining things, I think you are definitely feeling your baby move! But perhaps you feel it on the inside and not outwards. Am i making sense?
And yes, we found out his sex at the 12 week NT scan... so this time around, we were just like "is it STILL a boy? are you sure?" and the tech said that it was FOR SURE a boy and showed us. It was very very obvious. When is yours? So excited for you! The tech said it was probably my last US because everything looks normal.... so enjoy yours! Every minute of it.

Thanks so much! The movement I'm feeling is definitely internal, I can't feel it from the outside when I feel with my hand. My AS is next Tuesday 5/24 and I'll be 18+3. Can't wait!

@MRSCORKER I was 18+5, and they were very certain he was a boy I had to ask them what I was looking at, but once they pointed it out, it was very easy to tell.
I just got a call from my doctor- I have to have another scan because they couldn't see his kidneys clearly due to positioning, and my placenta looks a bit low. They didn't sound concerned, they just want to monitor again. Sure, I'll sit and watch him for another hour (since they think everything's fine). Edit: I'm 19w now, and it will be around 24w.
I'm actually considering opting out of an AS. My MW said that as long as there aren't any worries or concerns then we could forego it. We're already swimming in medical debt and it'd add another $200-300 that we can't afford
How far along were you/will you be? 20 Weeks 3 Days
How did it go? Great! It was so good to see that baby moving. However, the placenta still hasn't moved at all so I still have placenta previa. Very bummed about that as this is now my 3rd monthly ultrasound that they've been watching it. On a positive note, I get another ultrasound next month so check it and bonus...see my sweet little girl bouncing around in there.
Did you learn anything new about you or baby? This baby loves her hands. We got a us pic of her mouth open and her hand in it. So adorable!
