Icy hot safe?

Third trimester, almost to the finish line and terrible back pain! Is it safe to use the icy hot back patches?

Re: Icy hot safe?

  • I used some bengay on my lower back and hips last night and dodnt get much relief. Doc said it was safe in moderation but i found it useless. Good luck to u!'

  • It can't penetrate deep enough into your skin to cause much, but it's one of those things you don't want to use more than necessary. I use Biofreeze or their other Roll on you can get at CVS.

  • I personally get more relief from a moist heating pad than icy hot.  Biofreeze has been good as well.  I hope you can find some relief.

Ask your doctor. Mine said no, and she's pretty lenient about things. She actually introduced me to this awesome icy hot alternative that I am conveniently forgetting the name of. Magsoothium! Just remembered. Hubby gives me backrubs with it or I put it on before a run and it's great.
