Hand/foot print mold. When to do?

I'm talking about those little clay molds from BRU/BBB. Has anyone done this yet? I can't imagine my little rocky (closed fists) will cooperate and the instructions don't give a recommended age. I'd add a boxing gif but I don't know how - drink.

Franco Paul born 6/4/15 at 39 weeks.  Mila Francesca born 10/19/13 at 37 weeks.  Both born via C-Section after 6 years of fertility treatments, disappointments and losses. Love them!!

    We bought an ornament kit and did LO's footprint at Christmas.  It worked pretty well.  He was 2 1/2 months at the time.

    I was gifted one.  I think I might use it around 6 mos because I have his footprints at birth and on Christmas  (3 mos) we made salt dough and on one used his feet.
