I'm just having a rough day. I'm probably taking things a little too personally. There's a whole laundry list of stuff going on right now, I can't even get into it.
I would just like to say that my original response to OP was in order to keep things from getting too cluttered. I also wasn't trying to lead a newbie beat-down. We get so many drive-bys from people who claim to be long-time members. If she thought my response was rude, it wasn't my intent.
I don't see the necessity of creating a AW thread when you can participate in one of the daily threads or use the search function. If she had truly lurked any of the boards, she would have noticed how many of us use FF. It's not too difficult to read that or the newbie guide.
What exactly is cluttered, really? We have our daily threads and the random weekend after dark ones - but other than that we haven't had a legitimate discussion as a whole TTGP community or anything other than drive-byes since I first joined last year. The intro thread was made and then it seemed like everyone just decided that nothing but dailies and weekend randoms were allowed so everything else was clutter. The whole point of the forum isn't just for dailies, it's for people to engage the community as a whole and if they want to ask about two different tracking programs and not just target it toward one half, then so be it. Why is it such a bad thing that people want to engage the community as a whole versus posting in the dailies? Obviously for CSs, dailies. Obviously drive-byes are ridiculous. But something like this? When did TTGP honestly turn in to "everything must be on a daily thread or you'll get flamed"?
Ranting there, but really. Come on. Not every single thing belongs in the WTO or TWW threads. Hell, if I want to ask a question like this I have a very limited audience in the Benched/TTA thread - so do I leave it at the 10-ish people who are regularly contributing there because popping in to the WTO/TWW threads that I haven't done more than lurk and love-tit on in the past 5 months of TTA is a little ridiculous IMO; or do I get flamed for asking it to the entire community as a whole?
It's not being an AW if you're asking for the community's opinion on two different tracking programs. That's a bit far-fetched. And as I said before - just because the majority of the community uses FF doesn't mean everyone does, and it shouldn't be a huge deal that someone wants to know if anyone has experience with another program.
And FWIW, if we're going to tell people to use the search function, make sure there are actually threads for them to refer to. Ovasoft/Ova Graph/whatever has literally only been mentioned on this thread, from my search that I just did. How exactly do you refer to another thread and search for it if no results come up?
I'm done. When did it turn into flaming contributing members?
I won't participate anymore since we are turning on people who have been contributing and participating over someone that no one in here knows.
ETA: I won't be back to TTGP if I'm going to get flamed for...what exactly? I'm not even sure what I freaking did wrong.
@DoctorDonna I didn't get the feeling you were being flamed? I think @izza2 and I were just bringing up/ discussing something we noticed. We do need to find the line for WHEN we tell newbies that their post belongs in a daily thread or if it's cool to post by itself. That's a perfectly fine thing to talk about. Girl you know what flaming is. That was not flaming.
This exactly. I didn't take it as flaming either..I thought it was a discussion.

@DoctorDonna I totally get that. I know I've had some tough days where things that maybe wouldn't have normally bothered me were just really tough. I know you have a lot going on with the recent PCOS dx and everything else. I'm really sorry that you're having a bad day. Everyone here loves you though and I really doubt that anyone was trying to hurt your feelings or upset you. But I know sometimes, especially on the hard days, when a lot of people are disagreeing with something it can feel like they're "ganging up" on you and such. I know my poor husband gets yelled at sometimes on my hard days because he'll tease me about something that I'd normally laugh off and not give a second though to. But on a day where I'm already super upset I just feel like he's trying to hurt my feelings or he is being a jerk on purpose. So I totally get it.

@NamelessAria, you can enter weight info into FF mobile if you scroll down on the regular 'data entry form'. It's the last option, underneath (I believe) 'Mood/energy'. Weight chart is under 'More' (top left if you are on the page with your calendar).
Nothing else to add to the discussion since I've only ever used FF. I really liked the VIP features - spent hours playing with the chart overlay function - but the free version was great as well, IMO.
@DoctorDonna - My entire point for pushing my opinion and making sure I'm heard is because I disagree with the respect that everything belongs in the daily threads, and I disagree that posts like this need to be thrown in there. I love organization as much as anyone else, but not every thing that will and has come across this board needs to be on those two threads. I don't participate on them - I lurk as much as someone who was a previous regular on the posts can be considered a "lurker". As I said before; if I wanted to ask the community a question as a whole, what would I have to do? That's my entire point. If I had started this post (sans the chart; because it's not necessary), would I be told to go to the TWW/WTO threads, or would I have gotten the answers that I was looking for? The answer should be undoubtedly the second, but it's not.
It's not at all a personal attack against you, and taking it to that level is a bit extreme. The only portion that applied to you specifically and only you was the last two paragraphs on the lack of search-ability for this, and when you called a question like this an "AW" post. Hardly worth a GBCB.
FWIW, I'm not "arguing" on behalf of the OP as much as I am "arguing" on behalf of my own opinion. I would be saying this whether it was someone I do not know (like now) or someone that I have come to adore and respect in the community who had started this thread.
@zdmd_14 Gotcha. Yeah Ovia used to have some web based way to enter data in addition to the app and I could have sworn it was something like ovusoft. I just googled and as it turns out it was ovuline not ovusoft. oops.
I've never used ovusoft so I can't really comment on that one. But I stand by my opinion that FF is amazing and I'd absolutely recommend it to anyone who is charting.
As to the CS: I'm not sure I'd agree with O on CD13. I'm not sure I'd agree with O on CD16. It's just really hard to tell because I can't tell from that screenshot if you're entering CM/OPK/cervical position and texture etc. Really to pick a day there I'd kinda need to know all that and I'm either bad at reading the chart you posted or you didn't include that information. If I had to just take a guess based on temps alone so I'd that I tend to favor CD14 or 15 for O. But I wouldn't completely rule out the possibility of 13 or 16.
The pink columns indicate CM, key is on the left column. Darker, lower columns are more fertile. The chart is from kindara and I think once you get used to it, it's easiest to read at a glance. It's not helpful in terms of interpreting your chart, but I still enter data there because it's easiest to read and share...imo

@zdmd_14 Ugh I don't know how I totally missed all that the first couple of times I looked at the chart. I guess I was only looking at the squares on the bottom because I'm just used to it being there. I don't know.
Well with all that in mind I'd say CD14. Sure temps went up from 13 to 14 but 14 is still in-line with several pre-O temps. So I don't see any reason why CD14 would need to be considered a post-O temp. And thenw ith EWCM on 14-15 I'd say 14 is more likely than 13.

@izza2 I don't disagree with you on any particular point, although I DO think that it would be different for a newbie to post a new thread for a question like this than it would be for a regular like you to post a new thread for the same thing...
From a true long time member who did a drive by, I can see why it does happen. Things have changed a lot. Back in 2007-2008 posts like this (asking for info), AW posts, BSC posts where everywhere. It was fun to sit back and eat popcorn and read the BSC threads. Some of them became legendary and were brought up often on my local board. I get that you have folks who have been here a long time and you like things to flow a certain way, but it must get tiring trying to control the Internet! I'm trying to TTC my third now and mostly hanging out on TTC over 35. I wish all of you well in your TTC journey.
