I'm with an RE and I did bloodwork today and will do more Thursday and Monday.
Monday they should tell me when my first ultrasound is. I think it will be at 6 weeks, so probably the week of May 9
Me: 30 DH: 35 Married: 1/10/15
1st Pregnancy EDD: 1/1/17 Born 1/10/17 Team Green turned Blue!
2nd Pregnancy EDD: 11/6/18
Children are like casseroles; it takes a lot to mess them up.
Had my bloodwork done today, but I can't get my first prenatal appointment until nearly 10 weeks Even though we were TTC and knew it might happen, we booked a month-long trip to Denmark and leave in about a week so... 9.5 weeks it is! I'm guessing that's not too bad. A little concerned because my last pregnancy was twins and I know once you've conceived twins, it's pretty much out there that you're at a higher risk of conceiving them again. But who knows, maybe it'll just be a singleton this time. Hopefully everything works out!
Not until mid JUNE!!!! We're doing things a little differently this time around. We're doing a home birth, not learning the sex ahead of time and opting out of routine ultrasounds. :-O I don't know how long I'm going to last not knowing the sex!

My 8w appointment is on May 27. They don't do ultrasounds here until 20 wks, so I'll only get one of those if there's a concern. Jealous of the ultrasounds!
when is your first appointment scheduled? Mine is May 18 - ultrasound.
I have an appointment scheduled for tomorrow -- for you second and third time moms - should my husband come with me, or is it just going to be a boring appointment that he doesn't need to go to? I'd imagine they won't do an ultrasound for my initial appointment, correct? I should have asked the nurse when I called to set it up, but I was running late for work and had to get off the phone. Haha.
it's a crapshoot and depends on whether your OB has access to an ultrasound in the office or not. With my first, they didn't so they had to send me out for an ultrasound (I was living in a pretty rural area). For my second, they didn't believe that I had ovulated late so they did an 'on the spot' ultrasound and confirmed what I knew (vindication! ). I'd call and find out what to expect so that you and your H can make an informed decision. While it's not the end of the world to miss an ultrasound (my DH couldn't care less at this point), you'll be able offer your H the opportunity to make the decision himself and avoid any potential hurt feelings. Good luck!!!
