Feeling...off

This is my second pregnancy so I feel like such a noob talking about this but I have been feeling so weird the past few days. Had a few contractions the last two nights but nothing timeable or consistent. I also started feeling kind of off last night and it's only worse this morning. The best way I can describe it is crampy and light-headed and fatigued. Tmi but I've also had diarrhea all morning  and haven't had anything weird to eat. I don't know if any of this is pregnancy related or I'm coming down with something. Anyone have any insight? (32+3weeks)

Re: Feeling...off

  • @Rawa1416 I'm 33 weeks and a FTM, and I came down with something two weeks ago that I still haven't fully kicked. Our pregnant immune systems are weaker than normal so when I came down with a cold I was also lightheaded and needed to sleep for like 2 days.  You may be dehydrated. The crampiness could be BH and FWIW I haven't had a normal poo in like 5 months. I'm not a doctor though and every pregnancy is different,  If you're worried you should give your doc a call!

  • Rawa1416 I have been feeling very off lately, but mine is more of an anxiety thing. I was pretty lightheaded over the weekend but I'm almost positive I was dehydrated
  • I feel pretty off most of the time too. Some days are worse than others. I think it's a combination of exhaustion, dehydration, anxiety, and nerves. I think it's totally normal to not feel yourself this far along in pregnancy. Your body and mind is under a lot of stress and we're all just doing what we can to get through the next month or two.

  • I would consider dehydration as the culprit. Try getting some fluids in you and reassess :)
  • This was me last week. I was sleep deprived/exhausted, dehydrated, and had been eating junk! Drink tons of water, check your diet and get some rest! I hope that helps you feel better!!
  • Does off balance count? Cause i'm that...

  • I mean I guess it could be that I'm dehydrated but I drink around 100oz of water per day so it's unlikely. I've been resting and downing water all day but still not feeling any better. I'll probably put in a call tomorrow if I still feel the same.
  • Also feeling horribly off here too. Same as @lolonviveI'm 33 weeks and just getting over a nasty bug and i get to poop once every 5 days or so lately. Each pregnancy is different. I homestly got up this morning so emotional and upset that i couldnt poop that i called my mom and apologized to her for when she was pregnant with me and for any discomfort i caused her lol. Its been a rough day on this end for sure. Only a few more weeks tho!!! Then back to normal hopefully. In addition to having sushi and wine, im never going to take having regular poops for granted again

Are you using a stool softener? I take colace twice a day (once in the morning and once after dinner) and I get out a poop once a day. May not be a quality poop, but at least I'm not feeling beyond miserable in the sense that I'm literally full of sh!t. Lol.

  • OP I would watch the contractions and diarrhea together. Often times it can be a precursor to labor. I would pay attn and call or go over to l&d of it seems concerning.

Stool softener, taco bell, coffee and the whole 9. When i had that horrible stomach bug i wasnt able to hold down my thyroid medication so im wondering if that is part of the issue too. Now im back on it able to hold em down so we'll see if i can regulate the next couple of days

  • I'm feeling the same way, I had a NST Monday (different reason) and was having contractions every 6 mins or so and my doctor acted like it was completely normal at this point. I am waiting on testing to come back to see if I have a bladder infection since I had some blood in my urine (can cause an irritable uterus). I kinda hope that's what's wrong because I'm not looking forward to feeling like this for another month! Hope you feel better too.
  • Figured out what I'm experiencing is prodromal labor (which I had with dd) feeling a little discouraged that it has already started and I have 7+ weeks left.
