Oct 2016 HDBD- real bumps

Last week's talk of stalking other boards led me to do some browsing. And here's what I found: the ladies one month ahead of us are posting their bumps already. Which can only mean one thing-it's our turn next! I don't know why, but the thought really brightens my Monday.

Re: Oct 2016 HDBD- real bumps

  • @muybueno  I totally feel you. I am SO ready for a real bump. Attempted to wear maternity jeans the other day and they kept falling down because I don't have one yet (even though none of my regular clothes fit). *sigh*

  • I keep asking DH if he thinks mine is a bump yet. We've decided it's still a blump. :( But now I'm gonna stalk oct. and get excited because it's coming!
  • I can definitely see a little something first thing in the morning too. I can tell I'm still somewhat bloated as the day goes on though. this is #2 for me also.
  • Oh no @RaeJ004! 4 year olds are equal parts hilarious and brutal with their honesty! I'm sure you look gorgeous.
  • I can't suck in my lower tummy anymore and its firm.  Started mid-week last week. Is this the start of it??!?!!?!??!?!?! I'm so excited.  H noticed my "pooch" last week and got really excited.  I told him I had no idea if it was still bloat or the start of a teeny-tiny bump but it does not go away.

  • Mine's still blump here. I can't suck it in by the end of the day, but in the morning it's mostly gone.
  • Mine is definitely here all day, and enormous. I can't suck it in, but it isn't firm.  So I'm still calling it a blump, but my 4th pregnancy is definitely showing something sooner.

  • This weekend, I was on a wonderful walk through the woods with DH, and I said to him "I feel fat because normally I can suck in my tummy pooch, but now I can't!" and he responded with "You don't look fat.  And of course you can't suck it in... there's someone in the way now.  That's like if I said (while pointing to the ground right in front of me) 'Normally I can walk right there, but now I can't.'  It's because there's someone in the way in that situation too."  Haha, thanks for the sound logic, Dear.

  • I definitely have the teeniest bit of something. Usually when it's bloat I can suck it all back in flat, but it stays sticking out even when I try my hardest to suck it in...

Mine has arrived. It's there in the morning, firm and right on track.

I always heard you show sooner with your second but this is no joke. I freaking love it.

Free the bump ladies. Loud and proud.
You got that right. I can't even hide it anymore. Ran into someone today that I haven't seen in a long time and she said "oh my gosh your pregnant again!" I was like yeah barely.  Might as well announce at this point.

  • Yeah. I'm barely 9 weeks and had to come out to my boys' nanny last week because I can't hide it all day, every day. Out in public, no one would guess, but to someone that sees me 8 hours a day? It's noticeable.

  • I'll be 12 weeks tomorrow and mine is mostly still blump. I have noticed a little something starting to show over the past week. I'm really short (4'10) so I'm interested to see how quickly the bump grows. I finally made the switch to maternity pants this weekend.
  • This is baby #3. Both 1 & 2, I didn't start showing until about 20 weeks. This one is soooo different. There's def some bl
  • 11 weeks and I definitely have something. It's #3 and its firm and is there all day. I can still wear some regular shirts so it's not huge but I'm in maternity pants or if I'm honest, yoga pants and pajama bottoms. Being a SAHM has some benefits

Mine is there all day every day.  11 weeks and I am having the hardest time finding clothes to hide it, especially at work.  This second child is no joke.  I need to make it 2 more weeks before we announce.  I tried on 5 dresses yesterday for church - I didn't wear a dress....

  • I'm 9 weeks on baby 2. DS asked me how big baby is again (cherry) and he's confused why my belly is already getting bigger. There's definitely a little bump, where my pants are tighter around the middle. I hope it's not just extra poundage lol

Same here. I  put a dress on without looking in the mirror. 20 min later when I finally saw my reflection, I was like- nope, every discerning woman at church will know.

  • I definitely have a tiny bump.  It's there day in, day out and the lower part is firm.  This is my 2nd and I agree I'm several weeks ahead of when I was with DD.

I have the same pooch but it's harder and I can't suck it in. I wasn't exactly starting with a flat stomach so I'm sure I'm the only one (who knows me) that can tell.
  • I look normal in the morning, but definitely have a blump by lunch. Hoping I can make it to next Friday (12 weeks) before anyone notices. Scarves, loose blouses and cardigans are my friends lately.

  • I'm big to start with but this is my third pregnancy to make it this far so I'm definitely looking pregnant already. My abdominal muscles were just like "screw it." From the side anyway. I just look extra fluffy from the front, depending what I'm wearing.

I'm totally going to take advantage of those expectant mother parking spots pretty soon, though.

  • I'm for sure 99% blump still, but literally overnight there has been enough growth of my ute to where is just feels different (from the touch on the outside). This happened with my last pregnancy, too, but I don't remember how early it was or wasn't. It's like if I'm reaching to grab dishes out of the cabinet and I'm pressed against the counter all of a sudden it's not my bladder or my tummy that are being pushed, it's for sure my ute! Hopefully it will really pop after a couple more weeks :)

  • Since I make the HDBD thread and since some people are turning 12 weeks this week, I was planning on making it the first official real HDBD this week. :)

As for me, I am 10w5d along with my second and though it's not hard, there is definitely something sticking out that can't be sucked in. It's still blump but I am going to just consider myself showing. Sort of.

  • This is our first, but I had a blump starting at week 5 that required new clothes. Hard to tell if it's a real bump or not at 8.5wks but the women at work all think I'm showing. I feel like the maternity pants are making me look fatter though - I can hide it better with regular yoga pants but those don't fit well anymore.
  • I'm 10 +some days and got nothing :(. The last 2 didn't pop till late so I imagine this one will be the same way. I was looking forward to a cute pregnant belly in a bikini this summer. 3rd ones a charm though right??? Maybe I'll get lucky
  • I was just getting changed in front of the mirror and my bf said he actually could tell a difference. And that's saying a lot since I didn't eat too much today because I've been feeling yucky.
  • I hit 12 weeks today and when I woke up I noticed my bump is firm and very visible! 2nd baby for me!

Maternity clothes (pants) definitely enhance the bump which is why I haven't switched yet. They are so comfy but a dead giveaway, imo. I am NOT ready to announce so I'm trying to be creative in my dress but its getting so challenging. This weekend a lady a church actually asked me if we are expecting again. I was so annoyed! Who would ask that? If I wanted you to know I would tell you. I didn't feel one bit of remorse looking her in the eye and saying "no, but thanks." She didn't even act embarrassed! So yay apparently its getting obvious. I'm going shopping today at lunch for more loose fitting tops for work. :-) I have to make it two more weeks but would prefer not to announce for another 4 weeks.

Anyone else on progesterone this time and notice a huge difference in their blump? I haven't gained any weight, but my stomach is sticking out way further than it did at 9 weeks with my last pregnancy, which was a loss at 10 weeks so I'm not dealing with the stretched out uterus.

When I was on the progestin-only pill, my stomach did the same thing (minus the growing uterus). I'm not super overweight, but I had a few people ask me if I was expecting while I was on that pull. Needless to say, I went off that pill soon after I started being asked if I was pregnant.
  • I'm starting to get a tiny bump as I approach 12 weeks. I can definitely tell something is growing though because of the round ligament pain. Sneezing is the WORST.

This, RLP is no joke. I've had a few abdominal surgeries and 1 baby already so even getting up too fast leaves me bent over for few seconds trying to catch my breath and let the muscles relax from contracting, twisting.

Incredible how fast this kicks in. Mine started at 9 weeks, but to think the body already is shifting muscles to make room.

I haven't gained any weight either but the bloating has definitely been worse with progesterone.

  • I have nothing at 8 weeks but my coworker who is 9 weeks has a very visible hard bump.  The difference between the two of us is laughable.  But she is tall and thin and I am short and heavy so I'm all flump.

  • This morning after I pulled on my regular jeans, but before I figured out which tshirt to wear, I looked at my profile in the mirror. My slightly chubby belly just looks *odd* now. I'm not showing yet, but it's just different.
    11 weeks tomorrow.
