Though I am lucky to work from home, I just woke up from a 1 hour power nap for lunch. I literally cannot get through the day. I've have spurts of energy here and there, but good lord, I am struggling to stay awake. Anyone else feel the same?
I'm 21 weeks and I don't think all the caffeine in the world could save me from this. I exercise, drink tons of water, eat every two or three hours... I think baby is just growing like crazy. SO tired!
I'm with ya! I took two, two hour naps this weekend when I had off. I have never been a nap taker, but now I embrace them. I also love laying down and feeling her kick a bit before I nod off. My motivation to get anything done lately is a big fat zero.

Yes, I hit 2pm and it's lights out! Although I'm at a desk job and have to force myself to stay awake. I take walks around the building and get blood flowing again. Morning and evening i have energy, mid day and right before i go to sleep i crash like a ton of bricks. Ah....the joys of pregnancy! :-)
Yes! I was just telling DH that I think this was about the time with DD I would wake up, go to work, come home and nap for 2 hours, wake up to spend an hour or two with him then crash in bed. I felt like I couldn't survive without 10+ hours of sleep. Now, I'm lucky to get 8, and I daydream about those days.
Yep. I was like, "ISN'T THIS SUPPOSED TO BE ENERGY TIME?" And the round ligament pain, sheesh! My lunches have been naps the past week. Glad little man is growing strong, but wowzers is he pulling a lot from me.
With my first, I was dead tired for the first 14ish weeks. I thought I got off easy this time. I hit about 20 weeks and I'm so exhausted all the time. It's terrible. I can barely stay awake to get my 2 yr old to bed.
Yes, it's definitely gotten worse over the last month (24 weeks today). I think I've resigned myself to the fact that I'm going to be tired for at least another 5 to 7 years.
I started getting so much more energy after the first trimester, but in the last few weeks I haven't been able to stay awake! I work nights so I go to bed about 3 a.m. But now I fall asleep in my chair right after eating dinner around 12:30 and sleep until 2:30 then get up and go to bed until 11 a.m. And I have such a hard time waking up. I'm also tired all day at work and caffeine doesn't seem to help! Sometimes I get so tired I feel dizzy.
I'm exhausted pretty much all the time. Baby is super active at night between 11pm-3am and when I finally am able to sleep, I'm having hot flashes and can't sleep for more than 30 minutes at a time. The weirdest thing though is that as soon as hubby leaves for work around 7am, I have absolutely no problem falling asleep for a few hours. I'm maybe averaging 3-4 hours a day.
I've been meaning to write this post but I've been too tired.
Seriously though. I never felt this way with my girls. Little man makes me soooo tired. On a good day I can park dd1 in front of the tv while dd2 naps.
I can seriously sleep for 10 hours and wake up still tired...
Naps!!! What are those like??? I'm so much more tired this pregnancy than I was my first, but of course this time there's a toddler to contend with, so no naps for me *pity party*
Ugh totally. I could sleep for over 9 hrs easily and 2:00 hits and I'm ready for a serious nap. Unfortunately, I rarely get to take that nap, but there are many days I lie down on the couch in my office for 15 minutes between clients.
I can't get naps in and I've officially entered the can't sleep through the night stage. Did this with DD too, I am up and down all night and some nights can't even fall asleep. It's awful. I'm exhausted and totally feel your pain!
I'm so relieved to hear it isn't just me! I was just complaining about this at lunch on Monday, about feeling really tired again although not as bad as 1st tri, and my friend suggested maybe I wasn't getting enough protein or needed to start getting in some power walks. Glad to know it isn't likely my diet or lazy butt issues causing it!
