Twatwaffle Tuesday!!

Re: Twatwaffle Tuesday!!

  • Since I didn't see a WTF Wednesday, I'll call him out here! My TW is my co-worker. During today's staff meeting, our boss announced how I'd be training everyone on a specific thing, and the dude like two people down from me mutters "Oh god, great..." all huffy.

To quote the great Stephanie Tanner, how rude!

She actually does pay rent but only $100 which doesn't even cover the what she uses in hot water. And for the $100 she gets her own private suite in my house. The new car is because she got into an accident a few weeks ago totaling her car. But it's funny to me that I ask her to do what she said she would and suddenly she must leave and go car shopping for the next few days.

I would find a maid service, price it, and let her know if she doesn't fulfill her weekly obligations by a certain deadline, she'll need to pay $X for the maid service. She is in graduate school, time to learn about real world shit... Time management, fulfilling obligations/agreements, and
    consequences.
That's an excellent idea. I've honestly given up on her acting like an actual adult. She did do the list today although I had to tell her redo some of it as she is so clueless on his to clean. Anyway, she's out of here before I being baby home and that's the positive I'm focusing on for now.

  • I know it's not Tuesday, but I just need to put this out in the universe somewhere. I'm getting a bit tired of class coverages. I just got assigned my third one this week. How am I supposed to get this grading finished before maternity leave begins Tuesday when I keep losing my prep period? I don't want to spend my entire weekend grading research papers. Get subs, people!
  • @kbrands7 - Can you say no to coverage?

I know it's not Tuesday but I just called about my breast pump (my insurance makes me wait until 30 days prior to delivery and since we don't have anything scheduled, I had to give myself time after he's due in case he's late).  I was told multiple times that ANY pump was covered 100% so we chose a Medela InStyle To-Go-Tote.  Now they are telling us it's $119 upcharge for it and they only offer a super basic Medela or some Ameda brand 100%.  If the insurance guy wouldn't have been so kind I would have probably ripped him a new one despite it not being his fault....

  • @rlworzalla I wish! Were operating without a contract this year in our district...so we basically can only feel confident saying no to things that are clear violations of rights. It's just frustrating timing and I think I'm getting slammed with them because over the course of the year they try to keep everyone equal. Since I'm missing the last month, I'm getting lots now. I'm sorry that your insurance changed things on you!! That's frustrating!

  • @kbrands7 I'm sorry they're doing that to you!  Karma is a real b*tch, so maybe they will get it sooner or later ;)  I think I'm more angry about the runaround than cost.  Target says to call the company, and they will mail the pump within 2-3 weeks.  The company says they run it through insurance, you choose your pump, then they order it through Target for in-store pick up.  Why the hell can't this get figured out?!
  • @kbrands7 Noooo that is infuriating. So it's not just my school. Everyday, teachers hide during their planning because they know they're going to get pulled to cover something. When I was the media specialist, my principal's solution for a class with no sub was to dump them in the library all day to sit on the computer. Constantly! Once in a pinch, I can understand, but this was a daily solution. Grr..

This sounds like my insurance, right down to the copays for those models. I called the number on the Target site (mckesson), they confirmed with insurance & sent me an email, then 30 days before my EDD I called the # on the email, ordered, paid the upcharge over the phone, & picked up in Target store the next day. Also had to fax my ID & a prescription for the pump. Hope that helps.
