I'm sitting at my desk just breathing in and out because all I can feel are little feet and hands poking out of me. Lord Jesus baby girl..go the fuck to sleep.
sitting waiting for my blood to be drawn at my glucose test, not feeling any movement from LO.. anybody else not have them bouncing around even after all that sugar?
@onesassybishh I'm waiting for the blood draw for my glucose test too. LO has been moving like a jumping bean. Maybe you just hit when LO is sound asleep??
And just like that, Braxton hicks have started with a vindictive vengeance. Not that I would encourage anyone to get pregnant at 19 like I did the first time, but seriously, 10 years makes a huge difference when it comes to pregnancy symptoms. So on that front, 19 and pregnant wins.
I just woke up from a dream where my baby was kicking so hard that I could see his hands and feet clearly and then my skin was so stretchy I could actually pick him up and hold him in my arms while he was still in my belly.
Then it turned out I was having twins, but one of them was a puppy so that one was born first since puppies don't need to gestate as long and I was still holding my other baby from the inside and then I birthed this puppy.
Because pregnancy hates my gums, I just had to go into urgent care because of a gum abscess. Which felt amazing when the NP popped it. Apparently perfect dental hygiene means shit when it comes to pregnancy hormones. Good news is the swelling is coming down so I don't have Homer Simpson lips.
Me 28 DH 30 Married May 16th, 2015 EDD July 1st July16 May siggy challenge "May the Force be with you"
Even though my EDD is the 4th - so relatively close to the beginning of the month, making it totally possible that this baby could come a few days early and be born in June - I have never visited the June BMB. Not once. And even if that does happen, I want to stay here...
Procrastinating getting dressed so I can go into town and do my glucose test. And take hubby the lunch that he forgot even though I reminded him three times, because I love him and I find it annoying when he comes home STARVING at 5:30.
@LDSJM123 My mom had me when she was 18, I'm now pregnant with my first at 36. I've given her a timeout on discussing pregnancy symptoms. If I hear "well I never had that" one more time my brain will explode. I finally had the moment with her where I said I'm fairly confident there's a big difference person to person and I am twice the age she was
@onesassybishh My LO did not move around any extra during my 1 hour either.
Im super excited. I got a massage a few weeks ago through the lady at my chiropractors office and insurance covered it, I owe $5 out of pocket. I see many more massages in my future.....
Truth! @ldsjm123 & @Weville. Even just a few years makes a big difference. I was 24 when I got pregnant with my first and now I'm almost 30. It's TOTALLY different.
I've never been to another BMB not even to lurk but apparently I've been missing out on some interesting conversations. I like my boards with a healthy dose of snark
I went to a baby expo yesterday and entered to win some gift baskets. I was so excited and really wanted to win. I didn't and was super bummed (but really, why did I think it was going to be that easy? lol). When we left, DH told me he would get me whatever was in those if I wanted. He is the sweetest.
I'm sitting at my desk just breathing in and out because all I can feel are little feet and hands poking out of me. Lord Jesus baby girl..go the fuck to sleep.
This. Since I've got two in there, I feel like a human science experiment. Yesterday I had extremities poking out of me in three different places at one time.
I don't understand why this has been happening but last night I actually cooked dinner. I cooked pork chops, mashed potatoes and peas. The pork smelled amazing while it was cooking and I was looking forward to eating it. I even cut it into tiny squares and when I sat down to start eating, I no longer wanted the pork. This happened a month or so ago. I REALLY wanted those chops and then when it came down to it, I gave it to my husband. What in the hell?
@buttermybiscuit - YUP, since the first trimester. I have to force myself to eat protein because otherwise it'd be carbs and fruits/veggies all the time!
@ButterMyBiscuit I've done that a lot, where I make something and I'm jazzed to eat it and then when it's in front of me... nothing. Or worse, repulsion.
@ButterMyBiscuit I've had to force protein down lately. I used to eat eggs daily, and for the past month or so, I have been grossed out by them. The only meat/protein that sounds good is between two buns.
How were the mashed potatoes? Because I want some now
If it's not a burger or a wrap I don't want it. Like legitimately can't eat it because I want to vomit at the thought of it touching my mouth.
Also all this talk about pregnancy being worse with age is freaking me out. I'm 24 atm and struggling big time. What the hell is it going to be like next time?
Not to sound like a jerk - even though I'm gonna... - I'm 31 and feel mostly fine. It's my first pregnancy so I have nothing to compare it to, but I'm just not convinced that pregnancy gets worse as you get older. Every pregnancy is different every single time. So who knows - maybe your next pregnancies will be fine! And maybe my next pregnancy will be awful.
July BMB Siggy Challenge: Weird Hot Dog Situations
My sister in law is in labor! I left work early to pick up my niece and take her to my house because they wanted me to watch her. She's supposed to be sleeping but she is yelling about poop instead. I am so excited to meet my new niece!!!
@joleri23 I feel the same...Sure a couple aches and pains, a week or two of mild MS, but I have been lucky! I keep waiting for some of the symptoms I keep reading about but so far not much of anything other than a big belly. It makes me way way more nervous for next time around.
@joleri23 I've had a pretty pleasant pregnancy so far too. I agree with you, I think each pregnancy is probably different and who knows, if we have another, it might be horrible!
Same boat as you ladies @rakel88@joleri23@theshannondee makes me almost not want to do this again for fear of jinxing myself...but now I keep worrying the delivery is going to be hell because I've been so lucky thus far!
If you are pregnant several years from now, chances are good it will be more difficult. If nothing else, your older body will probably ache a lot more toward the end. My pregnancies are less than 2 years apart, but I know this one is worse because I'm not nearly as fit as I was last time. There's a good chance that as you age the same will be true.
We retracted the offer we were going to put on a house (realtor had our signed papers in hand and offers were due today at noon). Last night DH and I just had a bad feeling that this was not a good investment. There were a lot of issues and assumptions we were making of improvements we would be able to make that weren't guaranteed or may have cost a lot more. After talking about it to our realtor, I feel a lot better and he is so supportive of our decision and was actually in agreement with many of the things I said.
On a related note, when we booked our wedding venue we jumped on the first one we semi-liked even though it was REALLY far away from our church. We spent the following year regretting it and thinking of ways we could get out of our contract. They ended up going out of business and it was such a blessing because it gave us permission to move on. It was the same feeling with this house. Never thought this would be so difficult.
Right now we're not in a bad place...it's just small. But babies don't take up a ton of room so that's a plus. I do think we'll find a house eventually....just need to remain positive!
@sboston06 sorry to hear it didn't work out, but it sounds like it's for the best. Sometimes a gut feeling is just way too important to ignore. You guys will find a place I'm sure, and you're right, babies don't (have to) take up a ton of space
I just drank my glucola. It tasted like melted orange otter pop. I definitely recommend drinking it cold! I got to drink it at home and now I'm sitting at the doctors waiting for the lab. I sorta cheated though and have been testing my sugars using my husbands kit (he is type 1) which has lessened my anxiety.
Home sick with a cold today. This turd doesn't seem to understand that the reason she can't sit here is because someone is already sitting there! the baby is squirming and it's cute that they're cuddling though so I guess what's another 10lbs...
