Oy, yesterday I was chasing after my 9-almost-10-year-old as we were playing in the yard, and something went very wrong in my pelvic floor. I do believe that I'm now dealing with SPD. I have less than 8 weeks until my due date (June 3rd), this is baby #4 and I'll most likely go into labor a week early, I did with both baby #2 and baby #3, but I can barely walk! Seriously, I'm hobbling around like I just got gang banged by the 49ers defensive line! Has anyone else had to deal with this? Tips for PT or pain management?
You could also have pulled a muscle chasing your kid. My groin muscles feel strained if I walk too much the day before. Talk to your doc if you're concerned.

My groin has been painful since about week 10. I just figured it was a normal part of pregnancy. I stopped running completely in the first trimester because it felt so awful for my groin area. Although I've found lots of walking and a nice pace actually helps the groin feel better later one. I used to sit on heating pads to keep mine from aching too bad. And warm baths help.

I'm going to go out on a limb and assume this is a comparison hypothesis that you haven't tested for accuracy.
@June2016BabyW I had the same problem, just not quite as early. My chiropractor (which helped a lot) suggested baths with epsom salts (I think that's what it was)

Lol! Well, in a dream, once!
Well, this has certainly taken a turn...
I'm super curious how you came up with such a....specific illustration of your pain. Why the defensive line? Why not offense? Why the 49ers? So many questions.

I'm a pretty hard core 49ers fan, but I think you've got me beat.

Now that you guys have gotten your shots in, does anyone actually have some input or advice about my pelvic pain?
Fine...make this thread all about you and your pain
I did the same thing once, I think I got out of the car funny. Anyway: 1) call your doctor/go see your doctor 2) enlist H so you can rest, rest, rest. I was realllllllllly lucky and mine went away after 2 days. Some people have it last longer. I think Tylenol/ice helped, but I don't remember. Hopefully your doc/nurse can help!

Sigh, ok. With #2, I had unrelenting SPD and nothing helped. Sorry. With this pregnancy, I get occasional, much more mild pain, that can be prevented/reduced to some degree. I find that pacing myself when I walk & sleeping with a folded pillow between my knees help. If I walk quickly, it really kicks up. Baths are also a God send. A few minutes of gravitational relief does wonders. Oh, and I got a new mattress. My old one was due for changing - getting mushy. A new, firm mattress has made a world of difference in the hip & pelvic pain department.

Sure, happy to help! If you think it's SPD and are still in pain, I would suggest doing the same thing as if you had gang banged the 49ers defensive line--Call your doctor.

Edited for words.
