We are thinking of doing Everlie or Everleigh for a girl. My mom's name was Beverlie and passed away a few years ago and we would like to honor her with the name. We just can't decide on a spelling. Middle name will be Beatrice, my middle name, as well as my grandmother's name.
Our boy name is set on Jace Thomas (I love the nickname JT, same initials as hubby), and our girl name would probably be Brooklyn Ann (my moms name is Ann and so is hubbys moms middle name)
We've had a list for years even before we started trying. Some names get added some get taken off. We have probably about 3 name choices for either a boy or a girl. Our top choices currently are Leif Gregory for a boy and Evelyn Karen for a girl. Our boy name is based on the fact that we are both from Norwegian heritage and the middle name is a version of Dhs dad's name. The girl name is my grandmother's first name and my mother's first name. My mom died when I was 22 and Dh and I really want to honor her memory in our daughters name.

I lean towards old lady names for girls and Biblical names for boys. My husband likes the Biblical names I've picked out, but he hates my girls list, which is filled with names like Theodora and Edith! My husband would rather name our kids after family members.
For girls, we both love Katherine, Mary, and Jane. The big dilemma for a boy will be whether to name him after my husband. Since the Revolutionary War, there has been at least one Robert in every generation of DH's family. The family is really big into the tradition, but DH and I are ambivalent about it. The only thing DH is worried about is that by breaking a 200 year old tradition, we might accidentally unleash a forgotten family curse on ourselves!

Girl: Isla Marie (Marie is my and my grandmother's middle name)
Boy: Nicholas Edward (Edward is DH and his father's middle name)
