    Weeks: 9

Next milestone/appointment? Ultrasound and referral to OB care on Wednesday since I'm still with my RE.

Rant/Rave/Anything else: I regret offering to have interviewing students come stay with us. I'm too tired to keep my house at "visitors coming" clean level!

    Questions? Nah

GTKY: What do you do for a living? I am a medical student. I intend to pursue either family, OBs/Gyn or emergency medicine. Most likely family, though.

  • @Kilgravemademedoit FX for a good ultrasound on Wednesday. Also I just started watching Jessica Jones on Netflix and now I get your username.

    Weeks:
    6w5d

Next milestone/appointment? Ultrasound on 4/12 (next Tuesday) to check for growth and a heartbeat. It is so far away.

Rant/Rave/Anything else: Little worried because I don't have nausea today but I'm sure it'll be back.

    Questions? Not today

GTKY: What do you do for a living? I am a Graphic Designer.

    Next milestone/appointment? Tonight at 5:30

    Rant/Rave/Anything else:
Well after a 3% rise in my betas in 2 days and a surprise strong heartbeat and measuring on track (6+2) at the miscarriage confirmation u/s, I'm still here. I'm not sure if I will be after my appointment tonight, but as of this minute I'm still pregnant.

I'm actually feeling pretty optimistic today. Through all of this, I haven't bled so I have that going for me. It's probably the progesterone suppositories that I started last week, but I actually feel a slight stomach discomfort after eating, am peeing a lot, and I'm super tired again. Hopefully this means the hormones are making a comeback. Fingers crossed.

    Questions?
I've asked this a few other places, but has anyone ever heard of anyone in my situation and it turning out well? I've heard a lot of similar stories about losses, but no good stories. The Dr was super optimistic after my u/s last week, so I feel like there has to still be hope!

    GTKY
I work for a major nonprofit that works on children's health issues.

  • Weeks: 7.6

Next milestone/appointment? April 29 - my first appointment with the high risk Doctor.

Rant/Rave/Anything else: My main symptom is just being really, really tired. I have a weeklong vacation in late April. I had so many things I planned to do, but now I just want to sleep, read books, and sleep some more.

    Questions? None

GTKY: What do you do for a living? I'm an engineering manager for a medical device company.

    Weeks:
    7+2

Next milestone/appointment? I have an appointment on 4/22, but I need to call them this morning to make a growth/hb check up for this Friday.

Rant/Rave/Anything else:  *TMI* I had light brown spotting this weekend. I've had spotting since Thursday, really. It was previously orange, but turned brown over the weekend. I thought it would clear up after being on the antibiotics (for the BV) for a couple of days, but apparently not. So obviously I'm freaking out. I've never been tested for progesterone levels so I don't know if this is something I need to ask for.

Questions? How do you know if you need progesterone testing? I don't understand why I've never been tested for this, especially when I had a CP a few months ago.

GTKY: What do you do for a living? I work for an insurance broker. I actually wanted to bring this up today, so thanks in advance for anyone who wants to read/help me with this!

I was recruited in December (before I had my first loss), had interviews in January (after the loss), and started my new job on 2/29. I O'd on 2/27, so I got my BFP two weeks after I started working. I wasn't expecting that cycle to be successful, to be honest. Since starting this job, I realized there was a huge disconnect between what I thought this job was going to be, and what they expect from a new hire. They all basically expected to hire someone, show them where materials are located on their drives, give them an email address and let them loose. I'm sorry, I've never worked for this company before, and I don't know how anything is done here, and I need training. They don't seem to understand how to train a new hire, and it's ridiculous. I really feel like I need to quit. I've talked to multiple people about training, including my manager, and I don't feel like I'm getting through to anyone. I really regret taking this job. And now that I'm 7+ weeks pregnant, I feel like I can't go out and find a different job, so if I quit I'm just stuck. I guess I could do some temping work, but that probably wouldn't be a very steady income. Also with the spotting this weekend, I'm taking a sick day so I can just put myself on bed rest all day today.

I don't know what I'm going to say to my manager when I go back in tomorrow. I am so stressed out and not happy at this job because of their insane expectations, and the fact that I don't feel like anyone has listened to me, and I'm worried about this pregnancy. Obviously my number one priority right now is having a healthy pregnancy and healthy baby, and I'm worried that the constant stress of the job is going to be more harmful in the long run. We don't NEED my income to survive, but we won't be able to save much money if we rely solely on DH's income. I just don't know what to do.

Sorry for the novel, and any poorly written sentences. I'm so upset. If you read it all, thank you.

Next milestone/appointment? Today. This is my actual "First OB/8 Week" appt., even though  I was in last week after some spotting. I'm anxious to hear the heart beat again, know that it's gotten a little faster and that things are still looking good.

Rant/Rave/Anything else: I'm really done with this morning (all day) sickness. I was not even remotely this sick in my last pregnancy, so I'm kind of thrown for a loop. I know each pregnancy is different, but damn.

    Questions? nada

GTKY: What do you do for a living? I run my Dad's company; we sell stone for building materials-- hardscape/landscape and for veneer applications, etc. I have an interior design degree, so at least I'm still working closely with architects and designers.

  • @MissAmeliaPond I'm sorry to hear about your spotting. I'd try to get in for an appt as soon as you can to ease your fears. I also never had my progesterone tested until I went in 2 weeks ago for HCG testing because I had no symptoms. Turns out my progesterone was 10- the basic absolute minimum for maintaining a pregnancy. After we got the u/s with the heartbeat, I went on progesterone suppositories, which are now giving me slight symptoms.

I could go on a rant here about how women with a history of MC aren't taken seriously by OBs until their 2nd MC. I feel like if you aren't working with an RE they aren't looking for the things that could help avoid a MC unless you specifically ask yourself. For me it was my thyroid levels which they should have flagged as too high for TTC after my last MC and my progesterone this time.

Let us know how things go and I will be thinking if you.
  • @MissAmeliaPond, I second what @chloe97 has said, as far as getting in for an appt. ASAP. I had spotting the end of week before last and getting in with my OB right away, seeing a heartbeat and hearing the words "everything looks good", really helped me.

I, too, haven't had any experience with progesterone testing/supplements. My loss over the New Year wasn't typical, and it didn't put me in the range of my OB needing to do any of those tests, or even testing my HGC levels. I guess I should feel lucky, but I can't help worrying about the chance of another pPROM, plus the potential for what might be classified as a more typical miscarriage.

I'm going to ask about all of these things at my appt. today though, and I'm hoping it will ease my mind a bit.

FX for you and everything being fine and spotting being "normal".

  • @chloe97 - I don't have any experience, but I just wanted to wish you good luck at your appointment tonight, and I'll be keeping you in my T&Ps.

@MissAmeliaPond - I'm sorry your job situation sucks so much. If you are that unhappy and stressed, honestly, it would be in yours and your baby's best interest to look for something else. I have had a lot of friends who have successfully changed jobs during their pregnancies. And as for the spotting- I hope it stops soon! I think you made a good decision to take the day off work today to try and relax a little.

Weeks: 6-7? According to LMP, I'm 7w2d. My ultrasound from last week would put me at 6w3d.

Next milestone/appointment? Repeat ultrasound on Wednesday.

Rant/Rave/Anything else: OMG the nausea. It hit me like a mack truck last week. Vomiting only about once per day, but I am constantly nauseous. I was like this until 16 weeks with my daughter. I'm hoping it doesn't last that long this time.

Questions? Not that I can think of.

GTKY: What do you do for a living? I'm an RN, but I left bedside nursing 5 months ago. I now work in drug research.

Next milestone/appointment? I passed my loss milestone on Friday and had my first nurse consult appointment. I tried to convince them all week to give me an ultrasound because of the spotting and they wouldn't give in. So my first ultrasound is scheduled for Thursday morning.

Rant/Rave/Anything else: I've just been lurking on the boards for the last week and not responding because I was pretty convinced that I was going to be out within a few days (and I honestly needed a little break from TB because every post was making me cry). As of this morning, I'm feeling cautiously optimistic and reminding myself that today I am pregnant. I have been spotting brown for 10 days now, but over the weekend it has slowed down a lot and is really only the normal amount of CM that happens to be slightly tinged brown. Also, my symptoms have been slowly coming back over the weekend. I'm taking all of this to be positive signs and hopefully Thursday will be a good appointment.

    Questions? Not really

GTKY: What do you do for a living? I work in fundraising.

@MissAmeliaPond If your job is miserable and you have the financial means, I would say it's time to leave. I left a job last fall that had been too stressful for too long. We had been TTC for over a year and finally got pregnant as soon as I decided that I was leaving that job. I honestly believe that my stress in leaving that job and moving across the country played a big part in my miscarriage. We waited to start trying again until I was settled in my new (way less stressful) job and got pregnant on the first try. What I've learned from all of this is that the stress isn't worth it. There are plenty of other jobs out there and some that would be happy to hire you while pregnant. I have a few friends that have been hired as far as 7 months along. Sending positive stress-free vibes your way!

Next milestone/appointment? I hit my 9wk loss milestone on Friday. I don't feel as relieved as I hoped because I still have a lot of cramping. My next appt with my RE is next week. I was supposed to be released to my OB already, but they want me to come back again. That makes me nervous too.

Rant/Rave/Anything else: I'm just ready to feel my baby kicking.

Questions? At 8+4 the HB was 180. Doesn't that seem high? My doctor didn't say anything about it but he did say he wants me back again when I should have been released to my OB already. Hopefully just being cautious?

GTKY: What do you do for a living? SAHM, used to work in public accounting.

@MissAmeliaPond, I would try to find something else if you are unhappy. Doesn't hurt to look. If you don't feel like the manager is listening to you, that's not a good sign anyway. Good luck!!

  • Intro: Hi everyone!  I am sorry for the reason that this check-in exists but glad that we are here to support each other.  I am 28 and pregnant with my second child.  At 26, my first child was diagnosed with Trisomy 13 and she passed away at two months old.  She loved sunshine, cuddles, and music.  We miss her terribly.  We are excited to have another child and taking things one day at a time.

    Weeks:

Next milestone/appointment?: My first appointment is this Thursday!  Finally!

Rant/Rave/Anything else: I feel so much more exhausted this time around than I did with my daughter.  I wish naptime could be included in my work day.

    Questions?: None right now.

GTKY: What do you do for a living?: I am an audiologist and I am continuing on in school to get my hearing science research degree.

Next milestone/appointment? Appointment with my OB tomorrow

Rant/Rave/Anything else: My first u/s was on Friday and it was amazing. After having gone through an u/s with my loss where there was no heartbeat, I was so incredibly relieved to see a HB of 173. We could even see the little bean moving around.

Symptoms- I haven't thrown up in 4 days and the nausea seems to have subsided. My family doctor said it could start to settle down between 9-12 weeks once the hormones have stopped rising. I still have lots of bloat, constipation and sore boobs.

Questions? Those who have been to your OB, did you bring your SO? H is planning to come with me tomorrow and I just wanted to see if that was somewhat normal.

GTKY: What do you do for a living? I'm a wedding & event planner. I've owned my company for 5 years and have been in the industry for 9 years. I have taken 2016 off from events and it has been a welcomed break. I plan to return to events in 2017.

@MissAmeliaPond- I would start looking for a new job. If you are that unhappy and its stressing you out, it's not worth it. Especially if you don't necessarily need your income. I hope you're able to relax and rest today.

@m6agua- My nausea has come and gone since week 5. Some days are great and others not so much.

@aquasocks- The HB was 173 at my u/s on Friday at 9+2. I did a quick google search then and what I found said the normal HB for around 9 weeks is between 155-195.

    @KilgraveMadeMeDoIt- FX for a good u/s!

@chloe97- FX for your appointment tonight!
  • @EDK2010 I bring my H to every appointment that in someway revolves around pregnancy or TTC. He came to the first appt with my loss just b/c he wanted to see the u/s. He's come to every other appointment because I've been so BSC that he needs to hear for himself what the Dr is saying and to ask the questions that I won't ask myself but obsess about.

Don't worry- it's not weird at all. You are allowed to have anyone else you want in the room with you and the nurses and Drs don't bat an eye about it.
  • Thanks @EDK2010 , I consulted Dr. Google the other night out of curiosity  and it said up to 160 was normal. So then I got a little panicked and didn't click on too many links because I thought I would freak myself out even more.

Thank you @chloe97! He has only been to appointments regarding our loss, which was obviously a totally different tone. I feel like this first appointment is important for him to go to. Prior to the u/s he kept saying it didn't feel real to him, so I think it will be good for him to hear what the OB has to say.
  • @Chloe97 I hope your appointment tonight goes well! I wish I had a good anecdote for you, but I don't know anyone that's ever been in your situation before. I called my doctor's office and my MW is supposed to call me back. Hopefully she calls soon so I can go in for blood testing today. I was actually in for a scan on Friday, and we saw the bean and the HB. Growth was on schedule, but spotting is always scary.

@lilwonder Thank you. I feel like such an alarmist, but PGAL brain is so hard to deal with. I hope your appointment goes well today!

@rencontrezmoi Thanks for your advice. I know it's illegal, but I still feel like companies find a reason not to hire you if they know you're pregnant.  :/

@jrussell16 I am so afraid of another loss, and I don't think the stress does anything for me, and I feel like I just stress out more that the stress at my job will make me have another loss, and it's just a horrible stress cycle. I know that stress itself doesn't cause miscarriages, but it can't be healthy for me or the pregnancy. DH is supportive if I want to quit, but it would definitely be nice for us to be able to have the additional income.

@aquasocks you're right - if the manager isn't listening to me, it's not a good sign. I feel like they're all trapped in some kind of warped group think and can't understand why a new hire would require training. Congrats on making it past your loss milestone! I hope everything is okay, I'm sure your RE is just being cautious.

Next milestone/appointment?  I had an appointment today (see R/R) and go again Thursday.

R/R/AE?  SORRY IA for the novel!    So I had another US and labs this morning.  My saga continues.   I had US first.  They typically do labs first.  So the US tech was "in there" a long time.  The sac in ute was definitely bigger than Saturday but still really small.  It was clear to me the difference.   Then she spent a REALLY long time measuring and screen shotting things near my right ovary again.  So I go to wait for the nurse to draw my labs and I can hear the US tech talking to the nurse about me.  The lab value that DH couldn't remember on Saturday was 2900ish.  This is not near a doubling from Thursday, so I am in a panic at this point convinced they are going to confirm ectopic.  The nurse asks me how I am doing a couple of minutes later when she gets me to take my labs.  I tell her OK, that I know things aren't looking good.  She said to just hang in there.   We go back to wait and get called to the doctor's office a few minutes later.   I am expecting the methotrexate shot at this point!   The RE's impressions of the scans & previous labs:

    1) The RE acknowledged the sac was bigger and believes it to have a decidual ring, so a real sac and not  pseudo sac from ectopic.
    2) That the 2051 HCG from Thursday may have been a lab error.  I asked him if he was concerned about the non-doubling Thurs/Sat.  He said the 2900ish of Saturday was in alignment with my first 2 betas and what we're seeing on US & that 2051 was really optimist from the prior 138.
    3) He believes the area near my ovary is a cyst which is collapsing & is not an ectopic.  He expects to see it even smaller in a few days.
    4) He still stands by the fact that based on the location of the sac and the tilt of my ute that it's just hard to visualize on the scan.
    5) It is possible that it's not a normal IUP, but he thinks we'll see more Thursday at my next visit.

    Questions?:  Nope!

GTKY:  I am a clinical project manager for a large pharma company.

  • @kilgravemademedoit Fx for your ultrasound this week.  I regret not going to medical school.  There were a few years where I didn’t, but lately I really am.

@m6agua don’t worry about the lack of nausea today.  I know it’s hard to not over analyze the symptoms.  I keep checking my boobs because they are my only symptom at this point.

@chloe97 FX so hard for you!!

@CeciltheBear medical device engineering sounds neat!

@MissAmeliaPond I agree with PPs.  You should call the doc.  I honestly think there is nothing wrong with insisting on a progesterone check.   If I hated my job & could afford to quit and look for something else I probably would.  I agree that it doesn’t sound encouraging that your boss isn’t bothered with your concerns.

@lilwonder FX things are still looking good & I’m sorry you’re feeling crappy all the time!

@rencontrezmoi sorry you’re feeling lousy.  Many of my co-workers are former nurses.

@jrussell16 Sorry your doctor’s office wouldn’t give you an US.  That’s annoying.  FX for Thursday AM!

@aquasocks I get the impression that REs tend to be cautious.   FX everything is all clear and you’re off to your OB after next week.

@Cherrypicked I’m so sorry for your loss.  Hugs to you.  DH keeps telling me I need to get my hearing checked.  My Dad had hearing loss young.  I think I may too.  IDK.  I think I am afraid of the outcome so I keep putting it off.

@EDK2010 DH has come with me to every appointment where I met with the doctor.  The nurse checks for just labs he has stayed home.

@rspalding001 Sorry you’re not feeling well.  I hope the time until Thursday goes quickly for us both!

Next milestone/appointment? appt tomorrow! finally... I'm assuming it'll be with usual labs and an ultrasound. The appt instructions said to come with a full bladder, which to me says ultrasound.

Rant/Rave/Anything else: I'm very anxious to confirm a healthy pregnancy tomorrow, but part of me wonders if it that will even help me relax. Seeing as we had several good appointments before the sudden loss, I'm afraid that could still happen. Basically I'm just a ball of nerves...

Having a few more symptoms. Nausea off and on throughout the day. Still very tired and peeing more.

Questions? Anybody else enjoy filling out doctor's office forms? It's like taking a test where I know all of the answers lol.

GTKY: What do you do for a living? I'm an RN in a Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehab department. I still pick up some shifts on the cardiac floor where I worked before.

@KilgraveMadeMeDoIt  FX for a good appt and ultrasound tomorrow!!

@chloe97 Praying you get great news tonight!!! Unfortunately I don't any stories similar to yours, but if the doctor is optimistic I would take that a good sign!

@CecilTheBear Wow, that appt seems ages away, hope the time goes quickly!

@MissAmeliaPond I know it's scary leaving a job, but it doesn't make sense to stay some place where you're miserable and not getting the support you need. My husband's niece changed jobs at 6 months pregnant, so it's definitely possible.

@lilwonder Hope your appt went perfectly and that you were able to get some questions answered.

@Edk2010 My husband has come to all of our 1st appointments to hear the heartbeat and then came for the ultrasound too. It definitely helps to make it more real for him. He was there for the appt when we found we'd lost the baby too, which was easier than me having to call and tell him.

@MrsBinPA Sorry you're still in limbo :(. FX that there is good, and obvious, news on Thursday.

@chloe97 wishing you good luck! Also, your words about OBs not taking any concern seriously until 2nd MC are SPOT on. I feel that way almost constantly with this pregnancy. Although, I think my problem is more the nurses and appointment schedulers that my dr has more than my OB himself. For example, when I got my BFP, I called in to set up my first appointment, let them know I had surgery done at 3 weeks pregnant before I knew and also had a MMC 6 months ago yet they refused to get me in any earlier than 10wks. After some spotting and a pencil in appointment to check in, the OB said he expected to see me at 8 wks. Nice. ugh.
@missameliapond So happy you the scan showed that everything is on track! Dont be afraid to call and get the relief or piece of mind that you need! When I gave up calling I made H do it for me!
@jrussell16 Fx that all goes well for your appt! Also, I had a very stressful job and once I left I immediately got pregnant as well and FULLY believe it was because of the relief of stress at that time. I know its not fact that stress necessarily causes miscarriages, but it I dont think anyone can argue that its healthy. I suffer from anxiety to begin with and I think that stress can do so much to your body that we may not even know.
@EDK2010 yay! so happy you got to see a good ultrasound! I was terrified to be back in that office after last time, and seeing that little speck flicker was a major sigh of relief! Also, If he is anything like my husband, he will definitely want to be there and be a part of everything he can! Also, its more awkward for me at the dr so having him there calms my nerves. I may even bring my mother and best friend, but not until we do an initial view to make sure things are doing okay because last time I had my mother, sister and best friend and it wasnt good news on the screen. This time around Im just hoping I get to see that wiggle worm!

    Weeks: 9 today!

Next milestone/appointment? April 14th.. its only 10 days... Im going crazy waiting!

Rant/Rave/Anything else: my symptoms have really seemed to start coming and going throughout the day which I guess is sort of normal for them to be mellow-ing out around this time. I had blood drawn on Wed for a check for hyperthyroid and diabetes and am waiting to hear my results. Just realized its Monday and I still haven't heard from them and now my drs office is closed so I have to wait until tomorrow.

    Questions? nope!

GTKY: What do you do for a living? currently, nothing. I just spilled my status over on @missameliapond post. As of right now we decided I will take it easy and relax until our appointment and see what kind of news we get and go from there!

  • @EDK2010 , H has gone with me to all of my OB appointments so far and stays in the room the whole time. The only awkward moment so far was **TMI** when the CRNP started describing my yeast infection in detail. Thanks, lady! It was only awkward for me, though. MIL is a nurse and H is used to all kinds of talk about bodies.

@MissAmeliaPond, I'm usually in favor of people sticking it out for at least a year at a new job, but I think that advice applies more to people who haven't already held full time jobs (i.e. recent grads). If you're stressed and unhappy, it's probably better to leave now than to either hit your breaking point or be set up to fail because they aren't training you. I'm overly cautious and wouldn't leave a job without another lined up, but I'm also the breadwinner in my family. Best of luck with whatever you decide to do!

    Weeks: 9!

Next milestone/appointment? Next US is on 4/14 at 10w3d. I should be feeling better now after already having 2 ultrasounds, but I'm still so nervous.

Rant/Rave/Anything else: Rant: Morning sickness is killing me today. It's been 4 weeks of m/s now. I can't wait for it to hopefully let up in the 2nd trimester.

Rave: My grandma has 3 rings that she wears - 1 has birthstones of her kids, 1 has her grandkids, and she bought a new one for her great grandkids. She's always saying that she needs to fill up the great grandkid ring. I handmade a card last night with a picture of the November birthstone (citrine) that said "You're getting a new stone for your ring! Baby S due November 7, 2016." I can't wait to give it to her in 3 weeks :)

    Questions? None today

GTKY: What do you do for a living? I'm an interface analyst on medical records (IT world). I talk about H's job more because it's way more fun.

  • So... I talked to my NP/CMW today about the spotting and she basically said that the latest research shows that progesterone supplements don't actually help prevent recurrent miscarriage... Progesterone does help people get pregnant initially (I think those with LP defects?), but at this stage of pregnancy probably won't do me any good. Here's an article about the study: https://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/855078

This doesn't speak to using progesterone supplements in later pregnancy - I have no information to share about that.

We then had a long conversation about why doctors are still prescribing progesterone to patients in early pregnancy, and her answers included: 1) it typically takes 10-20 years for clinical practices to change once new research comes out, 2) doctors and patients both want to feel like they're doing something, even if it doesn't help but doesn't hurt anything, 3) practitioners who have been doing things a certain way are often skeptical of newer research and/or just continue to do things the way they've always done them, etc., etc. There was more but this post is long enough already.

She also said she'd be happy to order me a test for progesterone, but I think I will watch the spotting and only ask for one if it gets worse. It definitely seems to be lighter today than it was yesterday, and my MW said that nothing I described sounded "concerning" to her.

I have a growth/HB check on Friday, so hopefully things with the bean will still look good then.

SO glad you got to have that convo!! I should have mentioned that my OB said nearly the same thing(s) when I saw her earlier. Only possible need for progesterone will be later on in my pregnancy and that's determined after 20 weeks, by my perinatologist.

  • @chloe97  So glad you had positive news today!
@kns1988  What a cute way to reveal to your grandmother!
@EDK2010   My hubby wasn't able to come to many appointments with my first pregnancy as he was working out of state.  He possibly won't come to many this time either.  I don't mind going alone.  I have friends where their hubby went to every appointment though, so just do what works for the two of you.
@MissAmeliaPond  Sorry work is so stressful.  My advice would be that it is not worth it.  You and your baby's health is more important, so if you can afford it, try looking for something else with the risk of having some time off.

Good luck to everyone having appointments this week!

Next milestone/appointment? First ultrasound is a week from today.

Rant/Rave/Anything else: Bloating in 1st trimester is super uncomfortable!

Questions? Do you think toddlers can sense a pregnancy?  I don't know if I'm just on a shorter fuse, but my 22 month old has been especially whiny and clingy lately.

  • Um.... Hi. I'm new here. I'm still very cautiously participating in this BMB. Long story short I've had 4 losses in about the last year. The first was a MMC at 12w, then a SCH, a CP then a natural MC. With the exception of my first loss I've passed all my loss timelines but that's what scares me the most right now. Weeks: 9+3 today. Next milestone/appointment? Last appointment for an ultrasound with the RE on the 12th followed by my first OB appointment on the 13th. Rant/Rave/Anything else: finally starting to get past the MS but exhausted all the freaking time. Ugh! Questions? Is anyone planning on using a fetal Doppler at home? My manager has one she said I could borrow but I'm nervous to use it. GTKY: What do you do for a living? I work at a retail store for a cell phone company.

  • @tigerfish227 I'm so sorry for your losses. I have a Doppler that I've attempted to use a couple times (I'm 9+4 today) but I haven't been able to hear anything because I have a retroverted uterus. Hoping as time goes on I can find the beans :)

@MrsBinPA My Dr made it clear to me that the ultrasound trumps HCG. Your rise actually looks fine to me as after the HCG levels are greater that 1200, they expect them to double every 4 days. Anything better then a 60% increase over 4 days is considered normal!

FX you get a better ultrasound image and a reassuring heartbeat on Thursday!
  • @tigerfish227 Welcome! I am not going to do a doppler at home. I think it would just make me crazier.

    @chloe97 Yay!

It seems like there are a lot of people in the medical field on this BMB! Kudos to you guys, I could never do it.
