Did it hurt, @Lindsayleigh1989? I've been thinking of getting one because it's turning into a jungle down there and I can't see for shit to try grooming, but I had a painfully traumatic Brazilian (I know, not the same thing) a few years ago and now I'm a big ol' chicken.
Not any worse than a brow wax. I went to European wax center granted I didnt get a Brazilian but I probably will before baby comes.
So bought this dress today for maternity pictures and baby shower. I originally thought that I'd get DH an aqua colored shirt to go with it but now I'm thinking its going to be too matchy... So maybe a dark blue? Idk opinions!
I would actually say a white shirt (the skirt stripes are white, yeah?). Then it totally matches but also doesn't look like you were trying to. Plus it's spring/summer so it works.
Now that I'm in my last trimester and the baby is getting pretty big I was thinking of buying a pinard stethoscope so that my students could hear the baby's heartbeat. Does anyone have any experience with them? I'm curious if they're something that an untrained ear (mine) could operate.
@Shelby00519 -- I vote for white too! Although a grey one would look pretty good as well.
My random is that my husband just informed me he bought me this shirt and I literally cannot wait to get it on my body. I'm gonna be rocking that dinosaur bump all. the. time.
@elenabrent I'm curious to read what the L&D nurses have to say on this. I've tried multiple times with my regular (expensive) stethoscope and can't hear anything except regular bowel sounds.
Oh jeez hopefully my FFFC didn't go crazy. Now I can't look...I was unplugged at the beach all weekend and missed it. I did get both dogs crates tethered for the drive there and back so they were safe and secure. God that makes a world of difference in a drive.

No, someone thought it would be so wise to wish death on her husband's dog because it was 'big', 'clumsy', and 'annoyed her'. The dog is apparently great with her 3 older kids, so it's not a safety issue. You FFFC was only met with recommendations and cautionary tales.
Yeah PS she sounded like a treat to be married to - she said something along the lines of 'usually I put my foot down and get what I want' but I was too distracted by the sociopath dog comments to even open that can.
I thought this baby was supposed to sleep at some point? I've been kicked non-stop for the past couple of days. It's not just little movements either. My husband swore he felt an elbow sliding across my stomach. That mess is uncomfortable.

I'm actually sitting here watching this LO have a full on gymnastics practice in my belly right now. It's equal parts hilarious & creepy (with a touch of queasy)

Yes! I love it and yet, I wish it wasn't quite so intense. It's even creepier during sexy time.
I'm glad I'm not the only one bump staring today. Got a little creeped out in my bath when she would move from one side to the other and then back again like a little wave across.
@ButterMyBiscuit hope your little settles down some. Though my favorite game to play when she is moving is what will you hit off my stomach so far today it's been a paper, lid to my water and my phone, book was a no go though

I watched mine (elbow? Knee? Not entirely sure.) slide from my left side to my right side today. I freaked out a bit. DH is pretty sure he felt toes or a fist the other day too.
Question for dog owners- my dog has peed/pooped on our carpet in the basement- not a lot but occasionally when it's raining/snowing. Of course we clean it up ASAP but I'm wondering how this would effect a child crawling on the carpet? My idea was to replace the carpet completely and get a dog gate so the dog won't have access to the carpeted area. My husband thinks that's not necessary- we could simply steam clean the carpet to disinfect and put the dog gate up so the dog won't pee/poop there again. Anyone want to weigh in on this?
