Since I know literally nothing... what kind of bag are you guys using to take to the hospital? Do most people use a suitcase? a duffel bag? something else? Now that people are saying we should be packed around 32 weeks and I'm 32 weeks, i'm having a heart attack.
Last time I used DS's bigger diaper bag actually. This time I'm using a duffel bag since DS will need an overnight bag for when he stays with my parents.
DS 9/2/13 was a BFP from an IUI! Triplets due 6/29/16 also from an IUI!
My go bag confession: With my 1st pregnancy when I went to my 39 week appt my ob was concerned I was showing early signs of preeclampsia, so he told me to go right to the hospital to be induced. I did not have a go bag packed. SO a couple hours after W was born Dh drove home, picked up a few things for me and then came back to the hospital. It was really annoying, this time I know better so I will be putting a go bag in the trunk of my car for every ob appt starting at 36 weeks.
But, shit got real when I wrote my maternity leave start date on the calendar at work and it's the end of next month!?! Starting my leave about 3 weeks before my due date.
I had a friend who went into labor a month early, so she didn't have her by bag packed. She sent her husband home to get a few things and he came back with a pair of pre pregnancy jeans for her to wear home!

This happened to me. My husband brought me the most random assortment of bullshit that didn't fit and I couldn't use. Needless to say, my bag is already packed this time.

I just finished pre-registering at the hospital, and through my insurance company (did you know that's a thing? I had forgotten that I needed to do it).

We have to pre-register with our insurance to pop a kid out of our hoohas? *adds to giant list of things to remember to do*
my insurance company just told me to call once the baby came out so I could provide all the details. There was no need to pre-register so it might differ between companies?

We have to preregister for all hospital procedures and then call them within 48 hours of the birth. If we don't they can bill is an extra $250.
We didn't HAVE to preregister but they strongly recommended it at my hospital. It was just a single form that had your insurance info, address etc so they have it on file when you come in while in labor. Less paperwork to fill out when you really don't want to be dealing with paperwork. I think they said something about them contacting the insurance company to get authorization for anything that needs pre-authorization but that may vary between hospitals too.

THIS makes sense to me. At our hospital tour tomorrow, we have the option to turn in our pre-admission form then, or mail it in. This way they can deal directly with the insurance company. lol.
I just organized all of my daughters old NB and 0-3 month clothes into the closet of the nursery. Someone is actually going to be wearing those in two months!

I call mine a go bag too and I probably should pack it at some point, b/c I like stuff done early. I still have 10 weeks to go though.
Had my 30 week appointment with the OB this week. She informed me that from what she can tell on where his heartbeat is found at, baby has resolved his transverse position and is now head down and ready to go. Ready to go?! Are you kidding me? No he's not! She followed that up with an explanation on when she would move me to a c-section and how long she would let me push before bringing out the vacuum. Yeah, it got extremely real after that

Sh!t got real last night. I've been thinking, even with twins, I still had at least ten weeks left. Well, I over did it yesterday and forgot to stay hydrated, and my Braxton-Hicks contractions not only were consistently 5 minutes apart, but nothing I did would get them to stop. Although they weren't painful, the OBs had my come into the hospital for monitoring. They couldn't get the contractions to stop with medication, and I was dilated to a 2 (which can be totally normal), so they gave me the first of the steroid shots to develop the babies' lungs. We had to stay overnight so that the OB could make sure that the contractions weren't actually productive and causing my cervix to further dilate. My parents had to come get my son for the night, and we had no bags packed, not for him or us. I didn't have any clothes or my toothbrush. I thought they would monitor and send us home after a few hours. The good news is that they don't think labor is imminent, but they said they're focused on getting me to 36 weeks. I could still go longer, but I have to take it easy. We will be packing our go bags now just to be safe.
Yesterday found out baby is still breech. I know there's still time left for baby to turn (have until 34 weeks before its critical, currently 30), but my first was breech and it just brought me back to the last few weeks of my first pregnancy, trying to get her to turn. And realizing that if this baby doesn't turn, I'll have to have another c-section around June 7!
This baby trying to punch a hole through my stomach all day everyday Alien-style makes this sh*t feel pretty real. Like this thing actually has to come out of me at some point.

Been having a lot of pelvic pressure for 4 days and baby is measuring big. Some of the birth announcements from May the babies born are smaller than mine is measuring. $#i+ just got super real. A week ago I was told she is 4 lbs and 17 inches. Holy moly I have nothing setup and no bag packed. I should get my butt in gear this weekend.
Think I just had my first braxton hicks contractions this evening and it was a wake up call that this is happening soon. They only lasted for 5-10 minutes total so no concerns but still a weird sensation.
Today my son turned 2. I went into labor with him at 33 weeks 5 days. I am currently 33 weeks 1 day. Yeah, it just got real.
Also, I didn't have my bag packed last time since I was not expecting him to arrive that early. Hubby went home to pick up some things after our son was born, but it was the bare essentials. Needless to say, my bag has been packed and in my car for 2 weeks now just in case.
Im due June 1st so only 6w4d left for me. My baby shower isnt for another week so ive been freaking out feeling unprepared. It all really sank in when my doc told me i have a appt in 2 weeks then we switch to appts every week. Only one more prenatal test and they start checking for dilation at the appts after that. Eeeekkk!
I got my homebirth kit delivered today...enormous mesh panties and all. ...Holy s#!t, you mean it actually comes out of my lady parts!? What was I thinking!?

Woohoo! We are planning to birth at home too! We're getting our kit this weekend, we got cleared on Tuesday. Gah!!
We had our hospital tour and all day childbirth class this weekend. I had my moment when I burst into tears in the parking lot on the way out. Being in the actual hospital and running through what that day should be like definitely made it feel very real that there is a baby going home with me in 10 weeks.
Finally had my "sh#t just got real" moment! I just figured out my maternity leave schedule. I'm alternating between leave and FMLA, so I'll get a paycheck (although small!) throughout my maternity leave. So I just did a week by week break down of which week will be FMLA and which will be sick/vacation. I've been putting it off forever but it's time!! I can't believe it's getting that close!
Had my check up today and it looks like our C section is being booked at my next appointment. So we were told to think about the day of week 39 that we want! So we decided on June 15! I also booked his baptism because I want a date soon after when my parents are still in town. Sh*t got real!
I just had an US at 32 weeks and she is estimated at 4lbs 7 oz. What?!? I know that isn't perfectly accurate, but still...That is most of the way to a baby. Where will we be in 4 weeks? Will I make it 8 weeks? holy cow. We met her pediatrician this morning and even she said oh, that is a good sized baby. Yeah not a fetus, a baby. That stuck.
