@fireflygirl12 I think you could make that wall pink if that's your thing! We thought of doing pink and gray walls for our baby girl but decided to go with gray walls all over as we're doing lots of pink things everywhere and didn't want to overwhelm the room. If you're going for gender neutral, you can make the accent wall yellow and go with that theme.
@fireflygirl12- I really love that color, would look amazing with light purple.. but at the same time, if you are completely redoing the nursery for this babe, I would personally paint the room to make it a whole new theme. I think a light purple wall would look great with the grays and give it a nice girly spin. I'm one of those weirdos in life that really craves and likes change - so that would be my vote though the color as it is definitely would work either way!
Thanks for all the input. I love the aqua, but also like to change things up, so I'm having a difficult time deciding. I hadn't thought of purple though, and maybe will look into a purple/grey theme. I'm worried I'll be over all the pink soon.
@fireflygirl12 I love the aqua! I think you could easily accessorize the room to give it the update you're striving for as well as make it a little more girly (without having to paint). That being said, if you've got a bug in you that wants a different paint color, go for it! Just one wall wouldn't even be a huge project and if you get great satisfaction out of it, it'll be even more worth the minimal effort!
@fireflygirl12 I love the aqua and think you would definitely work with accents to make it girlie. I like @AnnaS930 suggestion of a purple/grey combo though!
Had my a/s today and baby was being uncooperative, but happy to see him wiggling around in there.
@blondie080300 & @AnnaS930 congrats on the boys! I love the name Caleb, but DH wasn't feelin it, and Cooper is sweet
@camichael84 3 kids, and I've never had a tub pooper! Your nursery is going to look adorable - love the greys.

I watched my best friend's daughter (20 months old) today while she took her mom to the doctor. Husband came with me to the park because we have the day off together. My heart melted watching him play and interact with her. I'm so excited to see him become a dad to our little boy. And now he's offered to wash the dishes and clean up the kitchen so I can take a nap.
TTGP grads: New group created for those that want to join and talk to other TTGP grads. Check out the thread on TTGP if you want to learn more. Side note: It's sad when ladies aren't happy on their BMBs. I feel fortunate to be a sweet September 16er. Though I lurk other boards I'm happily content on this one and have no qualms about people here. Yay #winning

I apparently got lucky with two BMBs. This one is great thus far and I have no idea what I'd do without my April13 girls even 3+ years later.
I'm terrible at keeping up. Ticks are the worst. @runningisrad I'm glad you're not spotting! I was a constant spotter with my LO and its nerve wracking.
Agreed with above. I've been reaching out to my favorite dec14 ladies for support today and toddler advice. So amazing to have 2 great groups even though the two are so completely opposite.
@MojieJo that's so cute! How did he do the reveal?
@blondie080300 I'm also a big fan of Caleb Lachlan. I don't know many Caleb's. I've been teaching for 10+ years and have only had one and it was actually his middle name that he was going by.
@RedMar Really basic and informal, but he says it was fun. He took the envelope that had the results in it to work with him, gathered everyone around and opened it and announced the results. Everyone was very excited.
I stopped in on my way home from a doctor's appointment and it was great to see how happy everyone was for us. They've been getting updates every time we have an ultrasound, so they're emotionally invested at this point.
@runningisrad too funny! I was looking up ways to "divide" our bedroom last night on Pinterest! I just want to make it feel special, and not like there's just an extra piece of furniture or two in our room. Glad you're feeling better too
@blondie080300 YAS! YAY!!! Congrats!!! I know you were hoping to hold out on Team Green but man I am so happy you caved haha! I was dying to know! I love both of the names you picked- Lachlan is super unique too so I get why you may be leaning towards that So happy for you! We are hopefully finding out on Wednesday! (one day, 13 hours, 57 minutes... but who's counting?? lol!)
@poodledoodledoo I've been toying with that question too- I am also hell bent on getting a stroller that I can take when I go walking- and I need something that I can go off pavement with. I've seen some of the strollers that you can snap the infant carrier onto, but it then also can be used as a toddler stroller. I'm hoping to get one of those. I'm absolutely planning on an infant carrier too- I have no clue what I want though! Tulas look cute and the Ergo 360 looks great- but until I can actually try one on with a baby in it, I have no clue.
@Jabreen I sweat like crazy too- so many of my shirts have sweat stains, I can't stand it!
@fireflygirl12 You can always just change up the theme and use the colors in that new theme. I love that aqua color! What other themes did you have in mind?
My randoms for today- on the major up-side- I found a nearly new glider with the footrest in a local buy and sell group for $50! I checked the brand- it got great reviews and they still sell it at Target for over $300, so I'm beyond excited! One of my sisters is dating a guy whose family runs a professional cleaning business- they clean carpets, furniture, cars, etc. So I can have it thoroughly cleaned too- just in case So excited! We are picking it up Wednesday!
I introed on the main thread, but thought I would here too since I just randomly started chatting: I'm from Seattle, got married at 20, mom to a threenager and just turned 2 year old, currently KU with a girl due 9/1 (our last), coffee over tea, beer over wine, sour patch kid addict, not a fan of pedicures or massages, work fulltime, love outdoorsy stuff, strong feelings against mayonnaise and buttsecks, my backyard needs a serious makeover and sometimes I'm kind of an a**hole. But I'm nice too. Usually.
Just skimming through after what turned out to be an emotionally exhausting day. We found out (with 99% certainty--someone is modest!) that we're having a girl! Yay! But, there were some concerns with what they saw on the anatomy scan. I posted an update in the anatomy scan thread, but it's been a day of joy and sadness. I've got a crazy bad headache now and just hope I can sleep. Not sleeping won't resolve any issues--so hopefully my brain can just turn off.
@Sporty1216 I just read your update in the other thread (first time I've opened that thread actually...) and I'm so sorry you've gotten uncertain news. Hoping that everything looks perfect at your next scan.
@Sporty1216 That's a lot to take in for one day. I hope the echo gives you more insight into what is going on. Take it one day at a time. I hope you get some sleep tonight...I feel like sleep always helps. I'll be thinking of you and your little girl!
@sporty1216 Congratulations on your little girl! I'll be keeping my fingers crossed that you get better news soon or at least some more conclusive answers.
Hopefully everything turns out to be a non-issue (or at least something fixable), but, if not, it sounds like she's going to have an amazing mother who will make sure her life is as wonderful as it can possibly be.
@Sporty1216 congrats on a baby girl! I'll be praying that you'll be able to get some rest and comfort in the next couple of weeks. It's so hard to relax when you're riddled with uncertainty. I'll be thinking of you and keep us posted!
This pregsomnia is no joke! Up at 4 am and my brain won't shut up! @Sporty1216 congrats on your baby girl! She's so lucky to have a mommy and daddy who already love her so much

Ha! Welcome. I also prefer beer over wine and am sometimes an asshole.

@Sporty1216 Congrats on the baby girl! I am sorry that you are dealing with some uncertainty now though -- I hope that you can take care of yourself and that the next two weeks fly by so that you have some better answers. Keeping you in my thoughts!
@mom2adoodle thanks for posting the info about the TTGP grad board! I really love this board, but I'm excited to check in with some of the ladies that ended up in different months. Also, scrolling through that thread makes me feel like we are the only awesome BMB in the recent months -- I feel lucky to have you ladies!
@Sporty1216 Congrats on your baby girl. I'm so sorry you left with uncertain news. I'm sending lots of positive thoughts and vibes that you will get answers soon, and that you can take it easy until then. Wishing all the best for your baby girl.
Congrats on the news of your baby girl @Sporty1216 I imagine yesterday was quite the roller coaster of emotions. I hope you receive some clarity at your next appointment and I wish you all the best!
@Sporty1216- Just headed to the Anatomy Scan thread to read up on your news. First - Congrats on baby girl! Being left with so many questions is so hard, I hope that the next scan can bring you answers and peace - it sounds like you have a wonderful little loving family already and baby girl will be blessed to have you all, and you her!
@Sporty1216 My thoughts are with you, and here's hoping the next two weeks fly by for you!
@fireflygirl12 Yay Seattle! I grew up near(ish) the city and am in denial I don't live there anymore.
On a more random note, my car smells like soy sauce for some reason, and my sweater smells like mexican food. I cannot for the life of me figure out why, but it's totally grossing me out. I made a bad decision today and wore flip flops when it's supposed to storm. I should adult better and choose appropriate shoes but as soon as it starts warming up here I am Hank Azaria in The Birdcage and really don't want to wear shoes.
@Sporty1216 - Congratulations on your baby girl. I'm sorry to hear that you got uncertain news though. No matter what though, your kids are truly blessed to have you and your DH as parents especially considering it sounds like you guys are handling this very gracefully. I have to agree that she was chosen just for your family. Sending thoughts and prayers your way.

@blondie080300 congrats on your little boy and welcome to team blue!
@fireflygirl12 welcome to the group
On a totally random note, my toddler asked for cereal with milk and then takes all of the cereal
out so he can drink the cereal-milk. Stinker.
