Ha, I knew there'd be a lot of flame coming my way after the call out.
I may have phrased things incorrectly earlier to make it seem like I cared whether the pic was "liked" or not. I just thought it was ridiculous that the HDBD thread was specifically called out about late posts.
I only love tit pics on HDBD of people whose screen name I recognize from other posts.
Same. Or if you are exceptionally adorable and have cute hair, sometimes I'll love up on a stranger's pic.
For real. The first time I saw @LDSJM123 post on one of the HDBD, she was a stranger (to me anyway, I am sure she has posted many times before that), and I loved up on her picture and then commented to talk about her fabulous hair. HAHA!
@jwittwer hdbd gets called out because so many people refuse to participate in the actual threads that matter and offer support or insight but will go in and make sure they post their bump.
I wish the same consideration for feeling the need to post late because "life happens" was given to threads that actually matter in my opinion. It was in no way a shot to you but to the fact that seems to be the holy grail thread each week, but say ticker changer days, symptoms and threads to support individuals and welcome new comers hold zero water to so many people on thay thread it seemS
@PleaseSendPicklesNow You should have told us this fun tidbit way back at the beginning of pregnancy! I could have totally used this hack, but it is too late! I guess I could show up with a lot of layers at my next appointment, and then it will look like I am hardly gaining in the next few months!
@Lindsayleigh1989 Just seemed aimed at me, but I could honestly care less who "liked" the picture.
I'm typically late on most threads, but still go in and participate and offer support/advice/welcome when I can. Apparently that doesn't hold any water to anyone else though. Over this topic and on to the next.
My real FFFC: I have zero effs given about the nasty reviews I'm about to write some of the people below me. If I explicitly tell you what you're doing, why you're doing it, and how it should be done, and it still ends up wrong, that's on you... not me. Learn to take better notes. Don't expect a glowing review for your incompetence.
Here's my confession. I bought myself a new purse today and I didn't even need one. I just wanted something different. I could have bought the baby something but I didn't WANT TO.
I just went all snarky on some lady on FB. My friend is having her third boy and posted a bump pick. Some lady comments "you know, they told me that Sarah was going to be a boy..." We all know what you are trying to get at b*tch. Did you bother to think that maybe she is happy she is having another boy? I left it alone for awhile, and then commented back with: "If you are trying to hint that she should continue hoping for a girl, it's a lost cause. She is perfectly happy to have three perfect boys, and I don't know why people think someone needs to have children of each sex to "complete" their family...." I ended it with a side-eye emoji.
Zero f*cks given, if that lady thinks I'm a b*tch for calling her out on how stupid she sounds....
At my appointment yesterday, there was a lady giving birth at the center. We could hear her a little too clearly while in the waiting room. My first thought was zombies.
ETA: posted too early. My husband thought the same thing. We've been binge watching too many zombie shows. All I can think about today is birthing zombies.
I am irrationally angry that somehow my husband let a dozen GIANT FLIES into the house yesterday while I was at work. I don't care that he mowed the lawn and did the dishes because all I can see/hear is huge, buzzing flies all around my head. They land on me, they land on my food if I leave it unattended for half a second, they shit all over the curtains, and now worst of all a handful of them snuck into the bedroom and are harassing me. I can't sleep with them in here and I've spent the last half hour chasing them around. Bugs outside don't bother me at all... But I am a crazy bug nazi in the house. Spiders are fine, but things that fly/crawl/sting/eat stuff must die.
So I guess that's my confession, flies in the house give me anxiety attacks. I am seriously debating leaving the house and going to the store because I can't handle this shit. The buzzing is nonstop and they keep trying to land on me!
@erin7264 get some of those fly traps and hang them from the ceiling. Totally trashy, but it will save you time chasing them down, and you won't have to leave them up for very long before you catch the suckers.
I have another confession: at least once a day, when nobody is around, I will wait until baby is moving around and then pull up my shirt above my belly. I will lay perfectly still and say the names on our baby list, to see if there is a reaction from the baby, for one name over the others. We are so indecisive, that it's like I am begging for a sign. I think the joke is on me though, because each time I do it, the baby does react to one name over the others, but each time it's a different name. It's never the same name...

I think someone just likes the sound of your voice!
@erin7264 I like to fill a spray bottle with soapy water, spray the flies out of the air, and step on them. It is INCREDIBLY gratifying. Maybe a little twisted?
@erin7264 use windex, hairspray or soapy water in a spray bottle, it will stun them so you can dispose of the bodies. So gratifying to see them fall out of the sky.
My FFFC, which might actually be a UO but I won't comment on a daily thread after that day...I hate when daily threads are titled with the date ("HDBD 4-2-16" or whatever). Doesn't bother me with weekly or monthly check-ins but daily, nope. Literally no rhyme or reason to this, it just irks me.
Thanks ladies. I got some sticky strips (got one hanging from the ceiling fan now!) and some cough drops for the impending sickness I'm feeling - yesterday was my last day at work (yay for the best hubs ever that let me quit three months early) and wouldn't you know it, I woke up with a sore throat. It's getting worse today, but at least I can wallow in misery at home!
Also, I just killed 5 giant flies with Lysol all purpose cleaner. Apparently Febreeze works too.

We ordered our glider 3 weeks ago on sale originally $400 for $250. I said I would be willing to buy the floor model and they said no they have them in stock so have to sell us a new one. Fair enough.
3.5 weeks and a million calls later, I find out they in fact didn't have any chairs left, charged my card full price 3 weeks ago and sold the floor model I originally wanted to buy.
I raised hell, embarrassed my husband, and finally got a component manager who a) found me a floor model at another store to sell me b) threw in the ottomon for free c) gave me both pieces for $100.
Sooo total win but will never go to babies r us again if I can help it.
@breanneestafford1 I feel you on the incompetence of BRU! They got the new model of stroller I wanted so I called to confirm they 1. Had it in store 2. Had it on the floor 3. Would honor the coupon in their ad a day early. All yes ma'ams. I go- they have no clue what I'm talking about and dug around in the back and found them still all boxed together on a palette and didn't want to deal with it because they were closing in two hours. I got a little snarky with the manager calling out their customer service and it turns out she was the one I spoke with on the phone. Ha. I got my damn stroller but I hate BRU and avoid it if I can.
@breanneestafford1 This is the glider/ottoman that I got! I bought it when it went on sale, used a 25% off a glider and ottoman deal they had going, applied for the credit card to get the extra 15%. Then, it arrived with a weird little dent in one arm so they ended up giving me $70 back. I ended up paying $200 for the glider and ottoman, which is not as good as what you got, but still made me very happy. And they're very comfy. I am going to buy a piece of foam to help bulk up the back pillow a bit.
I'm committing a faux pas and commenting on a post the day after... but it's only 6:39am so whatevs. My confession is that I just added a $400 BOB to my registry, purely out of spite. My ILs have done a lot of things lately to hurt my feelings (addressing Christmas card just to my husband, not thanking me for Christmas gifts even though they've always done it in the past, ignoring the invitation to my East coast shower, etc.). Just after my shower, they called DH and asked him to tell them what to buy off our registry. Because I'm feeling butt-hurt (and because they're loaded), I asked DH if he thought they would buy a BOB if we asked them to. He said yes, so I put it on there just to see! If they don't, they don't. But if they go for it, I will feel vindicated!

BRU can suck it. Their prices are ridiculous, in-store selection is super limited, and even their online selection is limited. Even MH, who has really only seen prices of stuff I've specifically shown him, was like WOW, we are not buying anything here! Except my coworkers pooled and got me a BRU gift card, sooo.... I'm going to hang on to it until after my shower and if we don't get the video baby monitor I'm hoping for, we'll use it towards that. Meh.

I usually skip them as well, however, sometimes they have good sales on things and it cannot be matched with Target or anything because it beats their prices. But I am one to sit and watch, and check prices online and everything before making a purchase. I know some people don't have the patience for that, and would rather just go in and buy.

Agreed. I personally get the best deals at target. I'm fortunate that I have the team member discount + target debit card + coupon stacking + price matching. Every time I to in there they steal a significant portion of my paycheck.
@jwittwer target is even beating Costco for prices on diapers right now. I am trying not to over-buy, but we had a gift card and the $24.99 buy two + get a $10 gift card back is a winner.
I don't do coupons, though, and we are waiting until after the shower to see what we need to buy. I'm ALL about bargain shopping, garage sales, and hand me downs, so there shouldn't be a ton to buy. Our biggest purchase will be a breast pump IF I find out that our insurance will only cover a manual one.
I confess..when people try to randomly jab at me on this site, I look around and think to myself, "have these people read my posts? do they know what they've done?"
@Kannerush woah dude, totally unnecessary to start with name calling and attacking people. That is completely unacceptable and reportable. Which, it's been reported.
Eta also, no one cared enough to troll you. I'm not sure why you think you're that special, because you're not. The issue (should you even call it that) was already forgotten and the only person bringing it up again after days of quiet is YOU.
@Y0urm0m too bad they're even taking away our QFP after a user violates TOU, which she most certainly did.
