I'm due May 20th (according to my first ultrasound; my midwife insists on sticking with our original May 25th due date) so I still have a bit of time as well.
Left to do:
1) Pack hospital bag for baby and me
2) Install car seat
3) Start prenatal course (next week)
4) Finish up the nursery once our change table is delivered. DH's aunt and uncle are making one for us
and playing off of AmmyBelle's 2 bag idea for LDR and postpartum, if you're having a scheduled c-s, bring in one purse with a few things (phone, camera, glasses, chapstick, granola bar for DH etc). When you get to your postpartum room (about 3 hrs later where I am delivering), send DH down to the car to bring in overnight bag and whatever else is essential to you...boppy, pillows, water bottle, etc. Also, if you bring your own pillows, use a noticeable pillow case so you don't leave them in the hospital. No need to bring the infant car seat into your tiny hospital room until discharge day, unless your LO needs to pass a car seat test before going home.
Mama to Three Girls: Twins born March 2014 at 26 weeks due to preterm labor and our 37weeker born May 9th, 2016!
I've been making tentative to-do lists for the past few months, mostly with larger housing projects to get done to fill the boring winter time here in WI. This month we need to: install the car seat, finish hanging décor in LO's room, order what we don't get from our shower (which is tomorrow), and finalize the organization of the nursery. I still have to pack my hospital bag, but I'm a type A planner AND a procrastinator (go figure that one) so we'll see....

Yep - I'm a 37week section pretty much for the same reason as you are (myomectomy?) Mine is because my last c-section was a classical (vertical) incision, and thus the increased rupture risk. Looking into the literature, the repeat c-s is recommended to take place between 34 and 37weeks, so I am pleased that my OB was in the 37 week camp. I think I found one article that let women go until 38weeks, but generally, 37wks was the latest they let previous classical section women stay pregnant.
Mama to Three Girls: Twins born March 2014 at 26 weeks due to preterm labor and our 37weeker born May 9th, 2016!
I'm nervous as the time is getting so near. My scheduled c section is May 17. I have started packing my hospital bag and baby bag but it's not complete. I have purchased majority of my baby items except bottles because I'm still researching the best ones.
- buy a thing of formula - buy a thing of diapers - wash some baby clothes so they're ready to go when the tiny alien arrives
That's it, if I get those three things done I'm flying the Mission Accompished banner and calling it a day.
Don't forget to register for Similac Strong Moms (or any other formula brand's reward) and they will send you formula and coupons. I did this last time, and even though I planned to breastfeed, it was a little peace of mind to know baby would be fed if I couldn't nurse or got hit by a car. Then, when nursing goes well, you can give it to a friend or a food pantry! Many hospitals no longer give formula samples because it is again the Baby Friendly initiative. (just don't be like me, and find it in the back of the cupboard ....already expired).

I'll put that down as a stretch goal if I'm feeling super organized, but at this point my bar is set to "can I get through 24 hours without killing either baby or myself? y/n? if y, FINISHED."
I'm due May 4th. I could use another month or two to get life in order. All baby things are done, they're just being stored in DS1's bedroom which is blocked off from all of the construction and dust. Hoping this month goes slowly but our bathrooms move quickly. Odds unlikely.

I am in NYC and they really push breast feeding.I plan on BF, but if it doesn't work, then I need all the formula to feed my kid. During my hospital tour, I asked about formula and was given the evil eye from the nurse. It sounds to me, at least around here, that if you want to formula feed you might need to bring your own. Here, they have it, but don't just hand it out(pretty much her exact words). They make you try BF first (which is sooooo wrong IMO!!! Your body, your kid, your right to choose how to feed them)

I know things have changed since my daughter was born 8 years ago. I got lectured from one dr about me formula feeding after I told her my daughter is never sick, has had zero ear infections, very smart, etc. even though she was formula fed. Never dawned on me that they wouldn't provide it like they did 8 years ago. Guess I'll have to ask (my actual dr who is more respectful of my choices especially being a STM).
Finish Nursery. SO much to do still. I ordered fabric today for my mom to make crib sheets - going cheap. Need a crib mattress, have to clean out that closet (it was the guest room so there goes the last of our storage! Not sure what to do with a bunch of old Halloween costumes in April? Goodwill I guess.) Then we need a couch in the play room so I can move the glider to baby's room. Still no dresser ... so broke.
Pack hospital bag - after a wedding we're going to April 16 weekend. DH told me last night he's worried about driving ~4 hours and chasing a toddler at the wedding when I'm that pregnant but I'm not due until 5/26 so I think it should be fine! So for now I'm just making a list so it will be easy to throw together when it's time.
Wash all the baby clothes I got on a BST board. I found a mom with a 3 y/o boy who is pregnant with a girl, and I have an almost 2 y/o girl and I'm pg with a boy- so I brought tubs of girl clothes for her and she let me go through her tubs of boy clothes! It. Was. Awesome.
Due 5/4 with DD so unmotivated to do anything. Chasing around a 20 month old 9 months pregnant is a sick joke. Wish I could just snap my fingers and have my house cleaned, nursury ready and everything I don't have done that I can't even think of. I'm ready to just call it a wash and get my nails and toes done. As long as mommy looks halfway like a human it will all be ok... Right?!
For those of you who are formula feeding or planning on having it available as a back up - I recently received two decently sized cans of formula as a free sample from Enfamil. No idea how we got it, as I didn't actually apply for one, but it might be handy for packing in the hospital bag just in case, as they aren't actually full size. Still plenty of room for other stuff to go in there. I haven't looked into their website, but there may be a way for y'all to apply for free samples on it.
As for me, I need to do ALL the things. Shower is tomorrow so we will see what we still need after that, but omg yes I am panicking because it's April already. I should start making my own list...
I found out yesterday that my MIL has already purchased two entire wardrobes for the baby, one for when he's with us and one for when he visits at her house. I laughed pretty hard but I also think it's awesome. Sure, go ahead, buy all the baby clothes, I'm glad somebody around here has fun with that.
Plus she knows what she's doing and I don't, so hooray for delegating tasks to people who know how to do them.
Formula in the hospital is one of those things that states think they need to make laws about or hospitals make strict policies because we moms must have no idea what we should do . With DD1 5 years ago, there was formula stashed right outside my room. With DD2 2 years ago, I could still get formula but had to go to the nurses station for it. This is in Illinois and directly caused by a law that was passed between my kids.
ETA: even with dd2 was I able to come up with a decent stash of samples of the supplementation style formula after I asked about it.
Oh boy! my list in my head is long and honestly I should really write it down cause I'm constantly forgetting/adding things.
-pedicure for sure -buy more one sized cloth diapers -install diaper sprayer -love my dogs extra since they will likely get neglected for a while after baby arrives -lots of sex before that's not a thing

We're in SoCal - on our hospital tour, the nurse said formula was available, but they don't give it out unless you ask for it, and the same goes with samples. I plan on breastfeeding, but you never know, so I made a note of that in my notebook.
@AmmyBelle I'm in SoCal too. I have Kaiser (didn't with my first). I didn't do a tour b/c I've been to the hospital and am having a repeat c section but I will definitely have to ask my dr so I come prepared.
Today I had an appt with my ob and she'd like to induce at 37 weeks because of my high blood pressure readings. I'm just now feeling like my time to get ready is running out. I need to make my list and get it done!

cortney626 No - most places no longer give out the "gift pack", but should have all different types of formula to choose from in the hospital. sorry for the confusion!
Mama to Three Girls: Twins born March 2014 at 26 weeks due to preterm labor and our 37weeker born May 9th, 2016!
Baby related: - Finish nursery (wallpaper accent wall, need book shelving, lighting we bought is backordered until end of April ) - See what's left on the needs list after my shower this weekend and budget to buy it all up - Find a pediatrician - Handle breast pump reimbursement - Install car seat in my car and base in husband's car - Pack hospital bag - Order breast pads and other recs from STMs of post birth recovery needs
House related: - Pray our two bathroom renovation that started this week is done on time - Still need to get a small breakfast table - Husband needs to install new blinds -- husband is not handy, so pray husband can actually install said blinds - Prep the guest room for my mom - Install new vanity in basement bathroom -- again, husband is not handy, so this will be fun - Buy patio and outside furniture
Advice to all future moms to be - Never buy a house in your second trimester. My stamina and wallet are being bled dry.
I also need to plan a birthday party for the first weekend in May for my husband and mom. They share a birth date, and that's also the baby's due date, so I wanted to do something special for them ahead of time.
This! We did the same thing and wow am I poor...
I have lots to do for the nursery (organize/setup/wash baby clothes) as well as unpack my own stuff so LO has to stay in and bake some more before my EDD of May 3. Car seat and stroller have been set up but i have yet to install the car seat in the car.
Next month! Ahh. It's so exciting. My to-do list is way too long. While it's there and I refer to it, sometimes I just can't think about it because I get way too overwhelmed.
1. DH and I help my parents move. 2. DH and I finish packing, move ourselves, and get settled in. 3. Attend our baby shower (yay! it's our only one and I'm so excited to go to it). 4. Finish my grad class and start another one right after that. 5. DH graduates (host his graduation party). 6. Get through the last month of work and hope the students don't go crazy getting geared up for summer. 7. Get the last minute baby supplies, get car seat checked, pack the hospital bag, find a doc for our LO, all those other little things that need to be done.
@mcb2016, welcome to the 37 week club with @JennyS86 and I. Sorry about the news from your OB, but now we can all stress together? Yay, for safety in numbers?
Speaking of prep, I'm making some freezer meals. Uncharted territory for me, as I live in a NYC apartment and we normally don't really do this cooking/freezing business, but seeing as I'm not going to be working it seems like a good idea to cut out the expense of ordering so much take out.
So, macaroni and cheese: bake then freeze or freeze then bake?

Mac and cheese would never last a month in my freezer. I would be eating that this weekend

If you're doing one or the other, I'd say freeze then bake to be sure that you can get some of the extra moisture out without making the top too hard. But honestly I'm not a huge fan of defrosted pasta or cheese and mac&cheese is pretty quick to just make. (Admittedly, I'm sort of picky about texture though).
We often freeze meat sauce, and just cook the pasta as we go (leftovers go in the fridge for a few days). Not sure whether a 'cheese sauce' would save well? Then just mix with the pasta so the texture isn't off?
My husband is the cook in our home, but I sort of feel like I should be getting some stuff in the freezer (I am the baker in our relationship). DH is extremely picky (he won't even touch mac and cheese, and that was one of my first tri cravings), so I have a feeling I'd be cooking just for myself (lunches for while he's at work).
A month away and I'm honestly so (almost) ready. I mean, I'd like to see my new-ish (working) washer & dryer come in before the big arrival. Other than that, all I've *really* got to do is pack my hospital bags. I *am* trying to get as much sleep as possible, though. I feel like death on ice lately. I'm excited for that two months of unpaid vacation so I can get off of my feet. I feel like falling half of the time anyway. Lol
Our little wall corner (we are also jipped on space for a nursery, so we are room sharing for now) is all ready to go though. I'm stoked about how much of our themed stuff we got at our shower. ^,^
My induction is set for April 22nd. I have my bags packed, carseat installed, and baby area in my room set up. I really think that I'll go on my own before the 17th, but either way, I have less than 3 weeks left.
Wow!! I can't believe it's next month!! I am due May 21st - 7 weeks left today!! Reading through some of the posts that have due dates right around the corner is making me feel nervous!!
We have spent the last couple months slowly getting the nursery ready... Walls painted, trim wood painted, new doors installed, Waynescoting put up... Finally last weekend we were ready to fill it and got ALL the furniture set up! My husband and I are both in love with the room... Every night this week we would just sit in there and soak it in :-)
I've got all the clothes/blankets/etc laundered and put away! Books in the bookshelf :-)
Today I bought some baskets to organize the nursery closet and I have almost everything I need for my hospital bag!! Now I just need to pack it!!
In the next 7 weeks...
Reorganize the kitchen (aka get rid of some our 40 beer/wine glasses to make room for bottles!)
Clean EVERYTHING! The whole house is a mess!
Shampoo the carpets
Set up the car seat bases in both cars
Write up the birth plan
BF class this week and then done with classes!
Meet and greet at the Pediatricians office :-)
Read, read, read!!!
See Captain America :-)
wow... either I have more done than I thought I did or I'm having another pregnancy brain moment because this is all I can think of!
I told my husband once it hit April, I would tell people who asked that I was due in a month. Mentally, it feels better (even though my due date is May 15th). Today someone asked, I said a month, and they pressed on for the due date. I got so ragey, and wanted to lie. Oh third trimester short fuse, you make me want to hide.

This can be a dangerous strategy this early into April, because people might start asking "Have you had that baby yet!?" as soon as April's over. I'm due May 1st and I usually just tell people "May" to avoid just that.

It depends. There's no way to win the semantic game. I was July 1st with my first and if I answered July - it was a constant oh you have forever and that didn't bode well with my psyche. Either way, it's because we are so close to the end, and we have to love that!!!
I am in almost full on panic mode at the moment. I'm only in "almost" full on mode because I'm too tired to fully panic lol. I have a scheduled section on 4/28 and besides having the crib set up, I have organized nothing. I have so many clothes from DS#1 to rewash and put away and I need to clean out the closet in the boys room. Why is it so much harder to get ready for 2nd baby?!
Ok, now to get some laundry started. I guess at the end of the day (and month!) baby will not care if his closet is Pinterest worthy or not.

Heh! Exactly this! The baby will be fine! My girl and I were chatting the other day and I said "yeah, the baby probably doesn't give a shit if my oven gets cleaned". But the more I thought about it, I was like *I* care if the oven gets cleaned!
I caved and called the housekeeping service and asked for a deep clean next week. Splurge, but worth knocking a bunch of the stuff that is a pain in the ass to do off of my list.
I still have soo much to do! I'm due May 8th. But if baby is still 3 weeks ahead at my next appointment she will be an April baby.
1. Finish up nursery (upholster old glider, get curtains, get changing table, put stuff on the walls) 2. Wash baby clothes, blankets, bedding, etc. 3. Install car seat 4. Pack hospital bag 5. Create birth announcement 6. Attend babyshower 7. Get pedicure 8. Get waxed 9. Buy diapers 10. Figure out how all this new stuff works!! (Breastpump, travel system, pack & play, car seat, sterilizer, bottle warmer, etc.)

As of now, our weekends are free until my EDD so I plan on tackling a big spring cleaning item each weekend. Yesterday was all about our bedroom!
Ok, now to get some laundry started. I guess at the end of the day (and month!) baby will not care if his closet is Pinterest worthy or not.

I caved and called the housekeeping service and asked for a deep clean next week. Splurge, but worth knocking a bunch of the stuff that is a pain in the ass to do off of my list.
1. Finish up nursery (upholster old glider, get curtains, get changing table, put stuff on the walls)
2. Wash baby clothes, blankets, bedding, etc.
3. Install car seat
4. Pack hospital bag
5. Create birth announcement
6. Attend babyshower
7. Get pedicure
8. Get waxed
9. Buy diapers
10. Figure out how all this new stuff works!! (Breastpump, travel system, pack & play, car seat, sterilizer, bottle warmer, etc.)
