Love your crib, and great job on the mobile! There is actually a "crafty" thread already started if you just use to search function you'll find it there and you'll be able to see other peoples crafts
It's probably time for a new crafty thread anyway, especially because the last one was a weekly. Good work @DominiqueU!
I'm in the midst of binding my quilt, and I ordered the chemicals to make cyanotypes to make drapes for the nursery. I'm really excited about doing cyanotypes on the fronts and black out fabric on the backs, I haven't worked with cyanotype fabric since college and I miss it!
I know there was already a thread. Full of pictures and from March. New month, new thread.
@elenabrent I had to google cyanotype. Looks awesome. Keep us updated! I would love to see pictures.
@Lindsayleigh1989 I went the simplest route for the mobile. Luckily, I have a Cricut machine so I just cut out sheet after sheet of circles. Then I used thin yarn and double sided tape so I didn't have to sew through any circles. It took a little bit of time, but it was pretty easy. Thank you, Pinterest.
Joann's had some great deals today so I bought tons of fabric for nursery curtains and to recover the rocking chair I have and to make these MONSTERS!!! I am having wayyyy too much fun with these guys and bought tons of felt, so there may be an army of them by the end of the week! I'm thinking of making several of them into a mobile and then making some without buttons for him to just play with. Now that I finally cleaned his room out of all my junk I've been enjoying the more fun parts of preparing for his arrival!
I have a friend who makes paper cranes so I've recruited her to make baby a paper crane mobile. I forgot how much people love to help out with crafty things!
in April I really need to get back to working on baby's Christmas stocking. I'm cross stitching it and haven't done anything since November.
A picture uploaded! This is the alphabet tree I made for our kids playroom. We are missing a and v in the picture because someone walked off with them, but I'm pretty happy overall. Now we just need to add a birdhouse to the trunk and it's done.
@winnie1122 Looooovveeeee! We're going with a monster-esque theme and have been losing our minds with adorable monsters on clothes and such.
Oh us too! They've just had so many cute monster fabrics and clothes out that I can't handle it! This kid is going to end up being dressed in monster everything for the first year of his life at this rate....I just can't resist it when I see it!

I haven't done much to convert DS's whale nursery to DD's mermaid nursery yet, but I got crafty today! I saw a tutu mobile on Etsy for $65. Um, no. I created this one for under $20.
Y'all stepped up the crafting while I was away. This stuff is AWESOME!!! Those monsters are the cutest. @winnie1122 Did you use a patten or dreestyle the design? And @DominiqueU I love your crib!!!!
@PleaseSendPicklesNow I just winged them, bought a bunch of felt squares and some embroidery thread and just had fun! I got the idea from a few mobiles I saw on Pinterest though, so I bet there are some patterns out there! Glad to see you back! Been thinking about you!

I was just looking at your awesome mobile and had to go back to look at the crib. That's gorgeous and what a great deal. I love the whole color scheme.
Mom to Emma, Noah, Isaac, Asa, Asher, Jonah and expecting baby Alice 7/16
Finished the curtains last night, next stop is recovering that yellow chair. Spring break is drawing to a close, so there may not be as much craftiness over here for a long while. It's fun watching all of your projects come together!!! So much talent on this board!
I'm finishing up 6 more CDs to use up my material, but then I'm done sewing. Nesting over- I'm too fat and uncomfortable to hunch over my sewing machine for hours now. Time to rest until the big show!
NBR, exactly, but I finally finished the cowl I started the week I got pregnant. Actually, I'm pretty sure I cast on the DAY I got pregnant, haha. On the inside hem, I personalized it: "I love you [baby's name]." His name is obscured in the photo for privacy reasons.
Under the cicumstances, I want to keep nis name close to my heart always.
The important stuff for knitters: If you Google "knitting alphabet chart," you'll find tons of free charts you can use to personalize or sign your project. Even fancy cursive ones. And did I mention that they're free?
I got some motivation to work on baby's Christmas stocking today. Giving this snowman a face has made the project a little happier. When I sew I usually curl myself up pretty tight but there's not much room to curl with this belly in the way!
@sboston06 You have beautiful stitching! Do you mind if I ask where you got the pattern? I'd like to make a Christmas stocking for my baby but I'm not happy with any of the patterns on the online store I usually purchase from.
These are the finished products for the one I made for DH and me. I think I made his in 2006 and mine in 2008. I also made my niece one in 2010 but they typically take me 6+ months to finish!
