@bethlinn - I'm so sorry to hear that news. You guys will definitely be in my thoughts and prayers. My husband is very private as well which can make things more challenging when you need to talk through things.
So DH and I got another chihuahua, she's 9 weeks and our older one is 6. Last night I put puppy on the bed with hubby and went to finish up a few things around the house before bed. When I came back into our bedroom he had all the dog clothes on the bed and was dressing her up. I seriously never laughed so hard, he ALWYAS gives me a hard time for dressing up the dog and here he was playing dress up with the new puppy.
So I've been eating like shit lately, not gonna deny it. More recently though I started to notice the pounds so I eased up and started eating healthier options. I've seriously noticed the size of my bump go downnnn... I was wondering if it was so big before bc of the way I was eating. Yep that's it. Just wanted to share that. I feel a lot better about myself now that I'm eating way healthier

I'm in the same boat! I don't know that I've noticed my bump getting any smaller, but I can certainly see it in the way the numbers on the scale fluctuate. I'm not restricting calories by any means - just making better choices - so I can tell that it's not all baby weight.
@soberkfell yes exactly! No restriction of calories ... Just not 3 donuts for breakfast and 2 waffles loaded with syrup for desert in one day hahah. My husband can eat WHATEVER and still be fit as a fiddle and I've been eating like him lately .. Not good at all. I think it's mostly gross bloating that has gone down bump wise.
@maddmamaWe must be married to the same man. I swear his legs are hollow! Really he just has the metabolism of a hummingbird. When I got pregnant this time around, one of the first things he asked me was if I was ready to eat whatever I wanted again. I think he was looking forward to eating cheeseburgers and fries for every meal and ice cream for dessert every night. He's a bad influence!
@bethlinn I'm so sorry you're going through this. Please don't be afraid to speak up about this or any other topic! I feel like I'm sort of in between lurker status and regular posting, but one thing I have learned is that behind all the snark on this board, there's a goup of honest, caring women who are more than willing to lend an ear to listen and give any helpful advice they can. Sending creepy internet stranger hugs and lots of positive thoughts to you, your husband, and your baby girl
@austinjl Just curious if you don't mind, how tall are you? I didn't even know that was a thing so I googled it. Sorry! I am 5'10" and never experienced it.
@bethlinn Sending lots of positive thoughts your way. Hope all goes well at your US
Ugh, I am SO BUSY at work and with life right now. I have zero time to do anything including bump most days. I've barely been able to find time to go to the bathroom this month it seems. Hope everyone is doing well and I haven't missed anything really exciting.
@shanparadise I've been eating that chicken salad the whole pregnancy. I had no idea chicken salad was on the no list, but I should have assumed since everything delicious is on the no list. Whatever, I'm going to keep eating it. It's one of the best sources of protein right now.
I can't see my vagina. I haven't been maintaining my yard the way I should, so I decided enough was enough and busted out the trimmer. I looked down and saw belly. Tried to move it, and it was a no go. I kind of did it by feel, but dear lord, my bush is so patchy now. I probably should have left it as is
@blissylissy86 - it's safer to stick with the trimmer. Razors are dangerous. I suppose you could recruit DH to hold a mirror for you if you care all that much? Seriously I laughed out loud at your post!
@sboston06 sorry, I meant a trimmer. I have the lady shick or whatevee it is called. I think I will stick to getting waxed from here on out. I just didn't want to show up to a waxing place with vagdreds
@blissylissy86 I've just been using a beard trimmer. It keeps everything short and clean but not totally itchy and difficult to maintain. I know many many women end up getting waxed in the third trimester though so you're in good company. No matter what you've got, I'm sure the aesthetician has seen worse
Anyone else keeping hitting their bellies on things because they forgot their belly was that big/there? I know this baby is well protected but I feel guilty for how often I accidentally graze the belly with a door or run into something.

Yes this, I feel like I'm constantly bumping into things because I don't realize how wide I am now. Haha.

Haha yes! I always hit it on the pantry door when I go to close it.

I always accidentally squish it into kitchen counters or stuff like that. Whoops..
@elenabrent Yes. I have no sense of body consciousness anymore. I just run into things all the time. Doorways, corners, tripping over things. It's like my body has been hijacked.
I tried to bag and help intubate a patient yesterday, over side rails. I forgot I had a belly. We had to move the bed to get me the head of the bed with the Dr at the side. Not cool at the time, but funny after it.
Then, a few hours later, I did the same thing whole extubating a patient.
Patients are fine, baby is fine, just a silly pregnant nurse.
@elenabrent Our office is being painted and one of the painters was working on a doorway. I thought I could slide right by him. Yep, totally got white paint all over the back of my green sweater. I was so embarrassed.
I may have just bought the "Oh Girl" Aden + Anais swaddling blankets because they were $20 vs $35 for a new set of 'boy colors.' No shame. They're actually really pretty. I dare anyone to say a word about tiny pink stars on my son's blankets.
