Smelly Breasts

I am now 27w2d and am fairly large up top (36DDD).  The past couple weeks I've noticed an odd smell coming from my breasts.  I've gotten to the point where I take 2-3 showers a day or use baby wipes in the area but the smell still comes back.  Is anyone having the same issue?  Is this normal?

Seriously, though, it's probably best to ask your OB. My best guess would be sweaty boobies.

Yeah check that that out with your ob. Maybe you have a fungal thing going on.

If they are sweaty I suggest some baby powder after you dry off from your shower, before you put on a bra. It will keep the funky smell to a minimum

Oh no! That sounds miserable.  I agree it could be a fungal infection.  I wonder if lotramin foot cream would work (like guys use it for jock itch).  Or a body wash with tea tree oil.  I would call the doc too. Sorry you're dealing with that!  Good luck!

Is your bra clean? I know I rewear mine without washing it and I've had some mad boob sweat the last few weeks.

Any rashes or itching under or between breasts?  Any nipple discharge?

Check with your OB.  It could be anything from just  extra sweat, to a fungal skin infection, to discharge as your breasts start early milk production.

Lol I know this is likely a drive by geared to get weird responses... But I'll bite. When I was nursing my daughter, the smell of my sweat changed and all of a sudden I became super aware of my boob sweat. To be clear - I was clean. Bra was clean.  No rash or discharge or breasts leaking or fungus or anything. Just on warm days, I'd notice a smell (kind of like sour milk).  I've noticed it happen a few times while pregnant with my second. I figure it's just my hormones and sensitive nose. My husband notices nothing different. But it drives me crazy.

I was literally laying in bed last night and I thought, "GOD DAMMIT. I missed an opportunity to raw potato that smelly boob thread."

Agreed. I have not experienced rancid rack myself to test this buuuuutttt it sounds legit.
