Anyone do a Babies R Us registry receive their 10% off completion discount? They're supposed to arrive between 6-8 weeks before your EDD and was curious if anyone's received theirs yet. I know some of us are at that point and some are approaching. I will be 6 weeks out on Friday, haven't received mine, and planned on going this weekend to finish out my registry.

I haven't. I was in there a few weeks ago and the girl told me I wouldn't til after the baby arrives?? I don't think she knew what she was talking about. Hopefully that's not the case. I plan to call or go in and find out. Let me know if you hear anything different.

I just did an online chat through their website. What they said was that even though its advertised as arrival between 6-8 that's when its mailed out and could take several weeks to arrive depending on the post office; so we're talking you could possibly not get it until right before or after your EDD. I ended up chatting at the end with a manager who said he could give me an online completion code or to go into the local store, explain the situation, and they'd honor the 10% completion code. So, I printed out the chat that had his name and got his employee ID# so that this weekend, if I haven't gotten the discount in the mail, that I'd have proof that I was told to ask for it in store. Fingers crossed they won't give me a hard time. I mean why advertise a completion discount 6-8 weeks before EDD if that's not the case, but just you'll get it sometime. With everything else we have to worry about this shouldn't be one of them Babies R Us!

Agree. I mean a registry is for items you need PRIOR to or FOR the baby. And once the baby is here it's not as easy as jumping in the car and shopping for all your items. Now you have an infant to care for and tote around. Hope they work with you. Let me know. I may have to try the same thing!

I don't understand why in addition to mailing them why they don't just email them or associate them to your registry account. We all had to provide emails to create the account... seems like a simple solution for them. That being said, I hope I get mine earlier. We'll probably have to buy a bunch of the leftover stuff and I would really prefer not to have to wait till the last minute.

Yes I got mine this weekend in the mail. They also called me last week and left me a message stating I would receive it.

I was told that we wouldn't recieve it until 3 months after the kid is born. May have to try that online chat option! Thanks!

I think a lot of the people who are being told that they are receiving it after are being informed by people confused with the endless earnings gift card you get at the end. You are also supposed to get a gift card after your due date in the amount of 10% of what was purchased on your registry. That isn't supposed to arrive until at least 12 weeks after. I can't imaging they would actually be sending completion coupons after the due date...

I was emailed last week (8 weeks until due date) and told I can now use the completion discount! I got a similar email from Target over the weekend!

A friend of my coworker works at BRU and she told him I should be receiving my code pretty soon and if I don't receive it, to go in store and they'll give it to me.

I just got mine yesterday (34 weeks), but we did our big BRU shopping trip last week. The manager there was excellent. She gave us the 10% discount on everything we bought in the store that night anyway, and then wrote up on our furniture receipt that we can come back with the coupon and get the 10% refunded on the furniture purchase. Hugely appreciative of that! BRU for the win!
