R/R/CS: I am so happy to see AF today. My cycle was 55 days and I was beginning to feel like I wasn't even trying anymore. But now I can be actively doing something. It is such a relief!

GTKY:  What are the 5 things that make you most happy right now?
1.) I'm back on keto, which makes me feel 1,000 times better. I had lost 45 lbs in the first six months of last year, then got a job and couldn't find my groove and spent the last 6 months gaining it all back. But I'm back, baby! 10 pounds down already.

2.) My husband. He always makes me happy, even when he's being a butt.

3.) Since I'm working we've been able to buy things we did without when I wasn't working. It's nice. Like a tablecloth. I just spent a lot of money (whoops) on seeds for my garden. :)

4.) Af. Yep. I know. But yep.

5.) I'm eating an enchilada bake I made right now and it's fantastic.

WAYDTGKU: We finally got it on last night!  It had been... a really long time.  I was sick, then AF, then he was "sick," then we both had a crazy week.

R/R/CS: Posting so late today because my life is a shit show.  I'll be back to being a human when I get back from my trip.  Still in the "whatever" part of WTO right now.  I don't expect anything to start happening in my pants for another couple of weeks.  This is the least BSC part of my cycle, which is convenient, because it's the most BSC part of my LIFE right now.

GTKY:  What are the 5 things that make you most happy right now? I love this GTKY!  Great idea!
    1. Italy.  Five days. OMFG.
    2. My cute-ass husband, who is still really freakin' cute even when he's being a baby about seasonal allergies.
    3. My yearbook staff.  They give me life.
    4. This weather!  I'm loving being able to run outside in a tank top in the evenings.

R/R/CS:  Well, my temp dropped .5 degrees today.  Not entirely sure what's up with that other than maybe drinking on Wednesday night possibly really skewing Thursday's temp.  Even though FF hasn't pinpointed O yet (or maybe because there's such a small chance of it being correct when it does), I think I'm just going to head over to the TWW tomorrow based off my secondary signs.

GTKY:  What are the 5 things that make you most happy right now?

    1.  My DSs and DH.
    2.  That it's finally Friday.
    3.  That I've made it back to the gym twice in a row after more than a week off.
    4.  My 4 dogs.
    5.  The McDonald's PlayPlace (which has been such a great place for the boys to play during bad weather).

  • Hi Ladies - Hope it's OK that I post here (still technically TAA for T-14 days.. not that I'm counting). Been lurking for a while and looking forward to jumping in!

Had a probably pretty basic temping question for you - after a frustratingly long cycle (currently CD41 and counting..), I decided to buy a Mabis. However, I rarely, if ever sleep 3+ hours at a time at night (always been this way). If I wake up and just roll back over (not getting up), will my temps be somewhat accurate? What if I get up to pee at like 430 and then temp at 630? I figure *some* data is better than *no* data and with CM and OPKs (which i've never turned..) FF might be able to do a decent job? Guess the real answer is to give it a try, but curious if anyone that  is as useless at sleeping as I am has had success?

    thanks so much!
  • ***Lurky lurker from TWW***

@CrayCrayA  Welcome! So, the timing and sleep seem to work differently for different people. You kinda just have to start temping and see. For me, the time that I temp matters more than always having 3 hours of sleep before, but that's not the case for everyone.

I would suggest, since you have 14 days of no pressure, go ahead and start temping/charting if you haven't already. That way you can see how varied your temps are with more sleep vs consistent time of morning. Good luck!! My first chart was a mess, but there was still a clear temp shift.

R/R/CS: One more temp to confirm O. I might be BSC today but I feel twinges on my right side. And I had to take care of a patient with influenza B today b/c the only other nurses available were both pregnant. Why can't I have that excuse?

GTKY:  What are the 5 things that make you most happy right now? Weekend, jelly beans, chocolate, planning summer trip & I went shopping yesterday and got new stuff  .
  • @mrsdee15 I love to cook and bake frequently. I try to cook all my meals at home (I meal prep so it's just 1-2 days a week) but I try to do desserts too every two weeks. I send them with H to work or bring them into work. i never imagined being into it but I really do love it.

@felix08 when i first moved here it really bothered me because I'd plan end of term parties or lessons and then they'd be wasted and id be frustrated. I know now so I just have movies and play time scheduled if anyone does show up. Summer is the weirdest but I totally would do it too. School ends the end of June but they stop coming the end of May. The temperature gets up to 120. It's too hot to play in the day so they literally become night owls. School is hard to make it to when you're outside playing at 11 pm because that's the only time you can without risking dehydration or health issues. They're so young they also get dropped off house by house and some of those kids are on a poorly conditioned bus at 1 pm for 45 minutes. I wouldn't do that either. That's just dangerous to me.

@CrayCrayA yes to everything @houseofsetters said. I just wanted to add that my chart is full of open circles this month from temping early, temping late, and tossing and turning/being sleep deprived, and I can still see a very clear shift. So definitely give it a try. And welcome!

@TheJerilu I'm SO GLAD you mentioned Daredevil, I just saw that on Netflix and wondered if we would like it.  We loved Jessica Jones.  Do you recommend it?  I heard the Punisher makes an entrance, and DH's team for our law school's dodgeball tournament was the Punishers, so I thought it may be a show he could actually get excited about.  He's not one much for long, overarching storylines, except for Game of Thrones.  Also, "bone zone" is my new favorite phrase.  I hope things get worked out with him before your FW!
@mrsdee15 Daredevil has a very similar tone to Jessica Jones! It's got a big overarching story, but in the same vein as JJ - you're following the main character and their growth progression. I will say DD took about two or three episodes to really get its footing, where as JJ basically was in the swing of things by episode two. I personally preferred Jessica Jones, but I've heard opinions split about 50/50. As a heads up (minor spoilers I suppose), the Punisher is a character, but not until Season 2 (which just released yesterday). Give it a watch! I hope you enjoy it!
