Trying to Get Pregnant

WTO Friday

Re: WTO Friday

  • R/R/CS: I am tired of having all of these damned pregnancy symptoms and then when I POAS I continue to get BFNs!  Yesterday, I was at work and nearly threw up on the break room table when my co-worker started heating up her Lean Cuisine in the microwave.  I ended up skipping lunch all together and I used my last Zofran tab that I have been saving for a rainy day.  :( I wish AF would just get here already if it truly is a BFN!  I have gone through three tests in the last week! I had a dream last night that I tested positive and I woke up crying.

@MedicMomma84 - I don't know anything about your life, but just wanted to let you know that Zofran has been reevaluated by the FDA and is now cautioned to use during pregnancy.  If you have a legitimate reason to take it that's one thing, but I'd make sure your prescribing doc knows your TTC.  I believe it's only being prescribed to patients that are PG in the event of severe morning sickness when there's nutrition concerns.  I just wanted to mention it since it's been somewhat recently reclassified as a possible risk during PG and how you said you were saving it for a rainy day, which makes me feel like you're not taking it for a chronic issue.

@mrsdaddario hooray for AF! as someone with super long cycles, i know that feeling...it's like, now you can keep moving forward!

@brambles1 congratulations on becoming an auntie! how exciting!

@medicmama21 i agree with @sarah0985, it sounds like you might be in the TWW? if you're already taking tests.

    Month/Cycle: 5/2

WAYDTGKU: Metformin, Provera, not much else right now, just waiting for AF to arrive

R/R/CS: Well, I made my first call to an RE this morning and left a vm. So we are moving forward on this. Hopefully I'll hear back later today or Monday and get an appointment that isn't 1083190102 days away. I was feeling pretty bummed yesterday about having to call an RE at all, but I feel  better today. I just have to remind myself that it may be a long hard journey, but the end result will be worth it.

GTKY:  What are the 5 things that make you most happy right now?
    1. It's Friday!
    2. We're going out to dinner with my parents tomorrow and touring their new house! They're closing on the place today.
    3. DH, who has been wonderful and supportive of me right from the beginning of this process, and actually LISTENS to me when he misunderstands things about how the reproductive system actually works
    4. My cats. Because they never not make me happy
    5. My boss is out of the office today and I'll be ducking out early

  • vintageandrea90 I'm with you on the weird temps. This cycle is all funky and no OPK+. FX for that to show up for both of us soon.

BaileyBopsALot Sorry about your last Clomid cycle. FX your CD1 is just around the corner and you can look forward to this next cycle.

canavara FX for another high temp!

DiFazette I'm with you on the 7 day streak. I'm tired and just take a nap when I hit the bed, not BD.

@Thefarmerswife0411 Enjoy your weekend with the inlaws!

britters314 Sorry for CD1 but FX for a Christmas baby.

brambles1 Congrats on being an auntie!

teamginger13 I'm glad you got a weekend appointment. Trying to get out of work without telling anyone is so difficult. I really struggled this month. FX for you this next cycle.

Lecool FX for one more high temp.

PepperAT I hope your DH isn't getting sick :disappointed:

sammajane19 I hope you heard from your RE soon. I know sitting in limbo sucks.

hunnybunny17 I'm glad your break was helpful but we're glad you're back.

TheJerilu Sorry about DH. It's hard for us to "get in the mood" so to speak and we usually end up talking about some random tangent. We actually had a discussion about trying to up the spontaneity but my DH is boring and not spontaneous in the least. GL with everything.

  • @felix08 it's a weird thing about where I teach. (UAE) for whatever reason, if a holiday is marked for a certain day, they just take it upon themselves to not come in a few days before. Some I won't see the entire week. It's strange but I certainly cannot complain ;) we still have to go in so we are having a potluck on Wednesday.

In december, we had a five day weekend for our national day of independence and then winter break 2 weeks after. I didn't see some students the week before national day (around November 20ish) until school resumed January 10ish. Weird phenomenon that happens here the the school board cannot figure out how to stop. (No truancy laws here. And either way I teach pre-k. So truancy wouldn't be that strict anyway)

WAYDTGKU: For now focusing on diet - cutting out added sugars might help me the most.  I was eating 2-5x my suggested value every day.

R/R/CS: Rant - this was way too long so I cut it down. Basically:
    1) Medical billing is stuck in the gosh damn dark ages and apparently the infertile are discriminated against so now I need to wait 2 months for my hormone panels that I already waited 3 months for an appointment to get.

    2) How I feel right now about paying into insurance all these years:

GTKY:  What are the 5 things that make you most happy right now?
    1. This community.  I keep dreaming I tell people - my mom, sister, friends - that we're trying to conceive because I want to talk about it so badly.  So thanks for being here.
    2. It's a day late but beef stew and Irish soda bread for dinner tonight!
    3. My diet changes to reduce sugar are going well; I'm proud of myself.  But not too proud cause that's when I tend to fall off the wagon
    4. I get to see my niece and nephews next weekend!
    5. Leaving for vacation in less than a month :)

  • **Meltdown/Rant Warning because I'm being whinny and emotional**

So my grandmother who doesn't know that we're struggling just sent me a picture of a candle from my 1st birthday asking if I remembered it. She then informed me that she's been saving it for when we have our first child. She lives in Florida and wants us to come visit so she can give it to us. I know she doesn't know any better but I'm having a meltdown in my office cubicle and just want to leave.  And she's one of those people that just keeps on and keeps on so I don't want to tell her that we're struggling after two losses. Sorry for the rant ladies but I just had to vent to someone. I feel like I'm going to explode.

  • mrsdee15 FF doesn't really discard on its own but it will give less credit to temps that are under bad circumstances. Not sure if marking illness will take that into consideration but you can chose "discard" and it will still record your temperature on your chart but it won't connect it to the rest of your temps.

mrsdaddariomrsdee15vintageandrea90 Thanks for the support. She's just a very overbearing women and if I told her anything, she would want to be in my business all the time, and not for support but so that she had gossip to talk about. It's frustrating. She's the kind of women who you welcome into your house and she goes through your things to complain of the mess in your junk drawer. She has no personal boundaries. I didn't even tell my mom until 2 months after my last loss and she yelled at me for lying to her and was very selfish claiming I did this on purpose to hurt her. After putting her in her place about the situation, she came around, but it was an experience I'd rather not repeat.

    Month/Cycle: 2/2

    CD: 1

WAYDTGKU: nothing right now. Will be BD EOD at a minimum once AF leaves. Also going to start vitex, RRLT, and OPKs this cycle.

R/R/CS: I'm a tiny bit exhausted by the rollercoaster of emotions this process brings. For example, I'm pretty relieved about AF starting because I was really worried about my cycle being all over the place after going off HBC (I know it can still go wonky at any time but I'm feeling positive for now). On the other side, I'm feeling very anxious/excited about the possibility of getting KU this month. I just wish I could feel one thing and stay there for longer than say, 10 seconds. End rambly rant thing.

GTKY:  What are the 5 things that make you most happy right now?
    1. It's the weekend.
    2. DH has been raving about my cooking. With our move I didn't cook regularly for over a month and I really love feeding him good food!

    3. Possibly getting this as a tattoo this weekend

It's an Adinkra symbol from West Africa that translates to "I transform my life/character." Definitely need a reminder right now that ultimately I am in control of the kind of person that I am and how I choose to live my life,.
    4. DH being so incredibly supportive during a very challenging time for me. Between feeling angry and depressed about my job, and hormonal due to PMS, he's had a tough week and has been a trooper.
    5. Lemon water. I was getting bored with plain water and thus getting dehydrated from not drinking enough and thus getting migraines from being dehydrated. Lemon water to the rescue!

    CD: 19

WAYDTGKU: CM charting and HIO. @tentoeturbo To answer your question from yesterday, I did try temping this month, but then I was sick for nearly two weeks so it wasn't worth it. If I enter cycle 3, I'll hopefully be able to temp properly.

R/R/CS: Hoping to enter the TWW this weekend! Can't wait to start POAS lol.

GTKY:  What are the 5 things that make you most happy right now? This beautiful weather, my SO, my dog, pizza, and this upcoming weekend of relaxation.
  • Month/Cycle:17/10

    CD:15

    WAYDTGKU:

Off to have an IUI #1 on Sunday! and some bonus TI...we might add Prometrium

R/R/CS: Wish my Dr. office was closer (frustrating to have to drive 4 hours to just get an ultrasound) but I don't mind quite so much when the follies turn out to be mature.  We are going to go stay at a hotel near the hospital tomorrow so we are ready to rock and roll on Sunday early am. I got everyone in my office Daffodils the other day and gosh darn it they make the snow outside less annoying.

GTKY:  What are the 5 things that make you most happy right now?
    1. A 27 in Mature Folli!!!!!!!!! Getting to trigger! Getting to get an IUI!!
2 Blue skies and some sun to help melt the snow!
3 My awesome friends that don't live near me but are super supportive about this journey even from a distance.
    4. Dreaming that this cycle might be the one!! Luck of the Irish please!
    5 Fruit!
    6 Carmext/Aveda Hand Relief
7 That I am going to Europe in about a month! So very excited!
    8. Being a part of these boards...it is so nice to be able to talk to people that are on a similar journey.
    9. That I get to spend a whole day with my husband that we will have off together...and we get to make a little date of the IUI pre night.
    10. The nurses and support people in my Dr.s Office that cheer along with me when I get good news!
