Week/fruit: 32 weeks- whichever fruit it is this week.
Rants/raves/symptoms: Symptoms: Heartburn, I'M SO TIRED! and honestly for the most part that's it. Raves: I love all her movement- I actually videoed her moving my tummy all over the place the other night. Rants: Honestly, not much. People aren't really trying to touch my belly which I appreciate, but I do get a lot of comments about being tiny for 32 weeks.
Upcoming appointments: Another regular check up on Monday
Questions for the group: None
GTKY Are you practicing any comfort techniques for labor with your partner? Honestly, nothing. He's really good about knowing what I need- at times before even I do, so I'm not really worried about it.
Week/fruit: 30/cucumber (I feel like I say this every week, but WTF)
Rants/raves/symptoms: I love feeling her move. I'm tired all the time, which is probably a combo of not sleeping well at night and taking the cardiac medications that she needs right now. I think most of my frustration comes from the different answers we get from the doctors. I'm over it.
Upcoming appointments: Another echocardiogram on Monday for her and a MFM appointment next Friday. Hopefully can start seeing my regular OB again soon.
Questions for the group: I can't think of any.
GTKY Are you practicing any comfort techniques for labor with your partner? Ha! At this point, I'm just focusing on her making it to 36 weeks. I know we should focus on that other stuff but with everything that's happened in the past few weeks, it kind of makes it hard to plan ahead.
Rants/raves/symptoms: Feeling great since my insomnia has gone away for now
Upcoming appointments: I have my 32 week ultrasound to check growth and heart (she had an EIF at 21 weeks so hopefully it's gone by now)
Questions for the group: None
GTKY Are you practicing any comfort techniques for labor with your partner? No- my DH is totally not interested in hearing about anything labor related. He wants me to get pain meds so I don't think I will get much support if I can go natural! We actually bet $10 on whether I get the epi or not. I have a feeling I'll lose
Week/fruit: 31/pineapple (I swear it was pineapple two weeks ago, but whatever)
Rants/raves/symptoms: I love the movement and watching my belly shift. It's a good distraction from the other symptoms, like constant hip pain, swollen feet/ankles, and exhaustion.
Upcoming appointments: Regular midwife appointment, not till the 29th.
Questions for the group: None right now.
GTKY Are you practicing any comfort techniques for labor with your partner? Nope. At this point I'd be happy if I could just get him to look at baby names or open the damn book I got him, never mind practice comfort techniques. My patience is wearing thin with his procrastination.
Rants: Tired of strangers asking questions and making comments. Also getting a lot of comments about how small I am. Raves: loving all of her movement too! Busy little gal! Symptoms: Tired!
Upcoming appointments: Today. Gotta get that Tdap while I'm there.
Questions for the group: Everyone else having CRAZY dreams? My dreams have never been so vivid and bizarre. They are almost exhausting!
GTKY Are you practicing any comfort techniques for labor with your partner?: He asked his mother (a physical therapist) about the massage techniques we learned in class and gives me great foot massages (awesome since I'm still pulling some 14 hour shifts on my feet). Also, he has been making me a labor playlist which is adorable. LOVE HIM!
Week/fruit: 33 weeks / durian fruit (wtf is that?)
Rants/raves/symptoms: I'm tired of the massive growing pains with him in a bad position. Doc said that they're so sever because of the position he's in...great, he's already literally a pain! I'm having pressure pretty regularly and sometimes it feels like my vag is going to expand and drop baby out right then and there. Anyone else? Doctor on Wed. said that my cervix is closed so I know, rationally, that's not going to happen!
Upcoming appointments: Had one this morning, I go again in 2 weeks and will also have another US that day
Questions for the group: nada
GTKY Are you practicing any comfort techniques for labor with your partner? No. The first 2 Tuesdays in April we're doing labor basic classes so maybe we'll learn something there? IDK, part of me just thinks my comfort techniques will be drugs and whatever else I want at the time...is it bad that I'm not too worried about this?
Rants/raves/symptoms: Rant: this week was just generally awful at work, so I've just been exhausted. I'm starting to move a lot slower now. I think I'm huge for 32 weeks, but I actually don't think I gained anything since the last appt. Thank. goodness. The cherry pie I've been eating for dessert all week hasn't caught up to me (yet)
Raves: I'm still feeling pretty good. I've probably said it before, but I BLEW UP with my daughter all over. By this time I wasn't able to wear any shoes except flip flops, and this time I've had barely any swelling. Must be a girl vs boy thing for my body!
Upcoming appointments: Had one today! AND WE PICKED OUR DELIVERY DAY!!! 5/6/16 is THE DAY! Hopefully this baby boy agrees with that day I'll be 39 weeks exactly that day.
Questions for the group: none
GTKY Are you practicing any comfort techniques for labor with your partner? Repeat c-sec, so no laboring things this time (I hope)
Rants/raves/symptoms: These babies feel super low lately! I'm hoping they want to keep cooking for a few more weeks. My feet get sore pretty quickly. I hardly have any comfortable shoes to wear which makes it hard to put together outfits. Plus I'm starting to outgrow some of my maternity shirts. I may have to buy a few short sleeved shirts even though I won't wear them for long (most of my stuff is winter).
Upcoming appointments: next week I have a reg Dr's appt. and a non stress test.
Questions for the group:
GTKY Are you practicing any comfort techniques for labor with your partner? No. I think I've got this. I didn't get an epidural with my first two births (was open to it but got by w/o). This time I am getting an epidural since it's twins and I may have to have a C-Section (esp. since baby B could stay breech).
Rants/raves/symptoms: Really excited for my baby shower in 2 weeks. Feeling pretty pregnant these days, My patience is thin, I'm always tired, and now that baby boy is the right way down, it's alot more uncomfortable than him being transverse..
Upcoming appointments: 1.5 weeks with the midwife, 2.5 weeks for the next ultrasound
Questions for the group:
GTKY Are you practicing any comfort techniques for labor with your partner? No, we haven't done the baby preparation class yet lol. We go April 9th, because that was the only Saturday they had the class and he wasn't working.
