Short or long middle name?

Leaning towards Cora as a first name, and we have a one-syllable last name. Neither of the middle name options are family names, just like the sound of them. June has been on my mind for a while as a middle- it sounds sweet and happy to me but I don't like how popular it might be getting as a middle (like Mae). Josephine came to mind more recently and might be a better balance between the short first and last names. Thoughts?

  • Cora Josephine.

I like the longer name plus it's more unexpected than June

  • Both are so wonderful. Great names.

  • I love Josephine and agree the flow would be better having a longer name between short first and last names.
  • I can't say op. It depends on your last name. Let's say it's Ng. Cora Josephine Ng has a nice rhythm where as Cora June Ng is staccato and not great.

But let's say your last name is Gustavson. Cora Josephine Gustavson is a freaking mouthful. Whereas Cora June Gustavson is a lot less hectic.

So yeah. Short surname, go with Josephine. Long or complex surname. Go with June.
  • I have a friend who just named her baby Nora Josephine and I love it!  Obviously very similar to Cora.
